THE AMAZING RACE #19 official thread. No Spoilers!! Premieres Sept. 25

:sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

That C+ student vs. A+ student comment was just awful.

I kind of had to tune her out.:lmao:

My first thought was...all that ridiculous prep work they did paid off.

Then when they made their comments about what they would do with the winnings...I thought..."how cool.

Then...well...she continued talking.

That said--they had a really good leg.

All I can say is hopefully TAR producers write 2 checks because the money will likely last longer than that relationship. Talk about obnoxious comments about needing to be perfect and the best etc (run for the hills buddy, you will never measure up for that family or for her)

That was pretty crappy. I was not happy they won. I just don't care for her at all. I was really rooting for Marcus and his wife. To bad they didn't do well on that last leg.

Man, I always look forward to the last challenge where they have to test their memory of the race, but that was really lame.

I agree with this. I think it goes to show how the prep work can be a good thing, maybe more teams should try it in coming seasons. I also liked hearing them talk about what they would do with the money. Hopefully she will be able to shake off her family's influence a bit and stand up to them for him and they will be happy together - I think they really do love eachother.

Awful, yes, but not out of character. She was definitely raised by a Tiger Mother, you can tell. She is a product of her upbringing. I laughed though at Ernie's reaction to it - SHE is the A student, I was kinda the C+... or maybe just C student. LOL :lmao: He has no problem with being average.

Lame. It didn't seem like a particularly difficult last leg.

It didn't look all that difficult to me either. But I'd bet the guy that took 12 times to land the plane thought it was difficult. It did what a leg is supposed to. The team that got hung up lost. The team that made a big mistake lost. The best team won.

I wanted Marcus and Armani to win also, and I would have been OK if Sandy and Jeremy would have. I didn't like them in the beginning- but they were OK at the end. Anybody but Cindy- he seemed alright- just couldn't get past her.

I'm actually OK with Cindy and Ernie winning. I liked them better than Jeremy & Sandy were just "blah" and boring to me. I did think "Tiger Cub!" when Cindy made that "A" student remark :rotfl:. It's pretty obvious she's driven. I hope that Ernie can moderate her and not get overwhelmed by her personality. He doesn't seem hen pecked ... yet. Marcus and Amani were my favorite team. I wonder if they could have switched roles or if they were stuck with Marcus in the pilot's seat. I could tell that they didn't win during the little snippet-interview during the show. Oh, and I had to :lmao:when AR got one more God praise in from the snowboarders. It made me wonder if it was all editing or if those guys talk like that all the time.

That memory test was the WORST ever!!! They just keep getting easier and easier. That should be the hardest challenge of them all. It should be the stumbling block for the million.

After the 3rd fail, I was yelling at the TV, switch spots.

I wanted Marcus and Amani to win. Ernie by himself would have been fine too. The last task was harder in previous years when you had to put the pit stops in order AND match the correct object to each pit stop. I noticed that the snowboarders did not look very happy when Ernie and Cindy came running up to the mat and didn't even try to fake it for the cameras.

I don't think it was particularly easy, especially the flight simulator, Cindy and Ernie just made it look easy. I liked all three teams and while Cindy could have been a bit more, I don't know, diplomatic I like that she was driven and went out and got it. Good for them.

I really didnt care who won, honestly, anyone who got to the last pitstop before the final pitstop is deserving of the win.

But this was the most boring reality season finale EVER! And I don't believe creative editing could have made it any more exciting, it was just dull.

I thought the last challenge could have been really hard if you didn't know maps. None of the countries were marked, and you couldn't use notes. I think Cindy flew right through it, because she probably studied world maps A LOT in preparation.

I have to disagree with some of the PPs. I felt Ernie and Cindy deserved the win--they did work really hard throughout the race. While she is totally driven, he seems pretty normal--he's happy with working hard, but doesn't seem to mind being the "C student"...and she doesn't seem to mind him being that way, either.

Tht said, I was hoping for Amani and Marcus, I think they're great people. And kudos to them for working so hard on that simulator challenge. I got the impression that they were "called in" while they were at the roadblock, and never did the map.

It just goes to show how much of it can be luck. Example: Amani and Marcus were thought to have some type of advantage w/ the last leg being in Atlanta, but I actually think the pressure of that made Marcus rush and not do that well on the flight simulator task.

Another example: Jeremy and Sandi being sent to a store called "The Dump" just because they took the word of some guy off of the street and because there was an actual place called The Dump (if they hadn't asked that guy, they could have very well gotten to Margaret Mitchell's home much sooner).

It just worked out this time for Cindy and Ernie. I'm happy to hear about what they plan on doing with the money, but man, does she rub me the wrong way.

I think the last challenge at Turner Field was weak. Way too easy. There are only so many hooks on the map -- you know where you have been -- you went on a trip around the world so you should be pretty familiar with geography, particularly where you actually traveled to -- not very difficult, IMO.

I missed that. What did Cindy say? All i remember was her being pushed and her family would have expected her to win.

They were still in the cab between stops. Cindy was saying how awful it would be to be beaten by C-students when they were A-students. It was really petty and shallow of her.

I never really liked them, but at that point I wanted to change the channel. When we knew they were going to win, we flipped the channel so we didn't have to watch them gloat at the finish line. And from seeing what ppl here are writing about the FL, I'm glad we missed it.

Wow, that is pretty arrogant. But let me tell, you, Cindy, it's all a matter of where you got that 'C' from. My son went to Cornell and they had a saying there. A 'C' student at Cornell just means you're an average genius :lmao:
