THE AMAZING RACE 15, Season Starts 09/27/09

I really hated to see them go too!! Great friends stick together no matter what and they realy were! I also like the father and son (with pink hair) and the globe trotters are funny!! Don't care for the poker players or the "lion" lawyer.

I am bummed with who went home and how it happened. It's too bad they didn't think about going back into the temple to see if their passport was there. It could be that they just gave up when then went back to the Monkeys and saw that the final teams were finishing up.

I am still fighting a cold, so my DH cooked dinner for us:

We had:
* Beef with ginger and lemon grass
* Jasmine rice
* Broccoli with garlic
* Mango sticky rice for dessert

He took a few more liberties with the meal than I would have (the sticky rice is Thai and not Cambodian) but I'm glad that he stepped up to the plate to cook :hug:.

Spoilers for next pit stop:

Next pit stop is in Dubai, UAE. I am thinking about generic Arabic food for right now. My DH wants me to make Fool Medamas but that is more of an Egyptian dish. I'm sure I'll come up with something yummy!

Robin--if I wasn't so sick, I'd be copying your ideas. Theme dinners for AR--how cool is that!

And your spoiler was teased at the conclusion of the episode--so I don't think it counts as a spoiler. ;)

Another Overtime game... going to be a late night!

When they just started the 4th Quarter at 7 pm, and it was tied, I just knew....

Sheesh! The game JUST ended; and CBS is going to air its normal Sunday night schedule now :rolleyes2: instead of the more sensible and reasonable option of skipping "60 Minutes"... sigh....

Does anybody know when they catch up? I mean if everything is 1.25 hours late, when do they make up the difference? I would imagine that all the "paid programming" helps pay the bills :confused3 Just something to think about while we wait.

My question is and has been for a number of yrs now............

WTH must we have 60 minutes every Sunday during football season? The show's about as old as my parents and the contributers even older. Will skipping a week really kill the show?:headache:

For you EC Cold Case fans(can't imagine why) you'll have to wait till next week.

As for me, I gotta be up at 3am. Hope I get to sleep early:rolleyes1

you guys need a canadian feed. Just ended here with a very good result.

Could they not have skipped the dang 60 minutes and went to AR, then Cold Case????

Come on talk faster I'm ready for the AR ..... :upsidedow

I watched that last little bit of the game before that one and it ended 20 minutes late. Knew that AR would be way off time.

I imagine it's all those commercials that have to be fit in. Those companies pay a hefty amount for their commercials to air during that time slot.

Team Lawyer was pretty nice to each other tonight. Wonder what happened?

I'd love to go to Dubai someday. Looks so cool.
Did AR go there before or am I thinking of another show? But I know I have seen that ski place before.

Here's what you have all been waiting for ... tonight's dinner!

* Home made pita bread
* Home made falafel (not from a mix)
* Tahini sauce, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and cucumbers for the falafel.
* Chicken swawarma.
* Ful Mudammas (http://www.dedemed.com/index.php/Vegetarian-Recipes/Ful-Mudammas.html) a bean stew with lemon juice, cilantro, onion, garlic and olive oil. Usually eaten for breakfast. I used fava beans, garbanzo beans and pinto beans. My DH really loves this dish.
* Apple crisp :)

I made the apple crisp at my DD's request. We went apple picking on this beautiful fall day and brought home a 1/2 peck of apples and had to use some right away!

I just feel sorry for everyone at the elimination station. At least during the race the teams were able to avoid him.

There are no teams left I don't like. I started not liking the poker chicks but they have turned me around. I still don't want them to win but I don't dislike them anymore.

It looks like next week we have a replay of the "fear of..." ending a race. There is nothing on Earth I am so afraid of that I would let it keep me from a million dollars.

Madison's not that far - a five hour drive for me! What's for dinner next week.

Mika who said she doesn't know how to sled. REALLY? You sit your butt down and you go down a hill.

I don't like the Fast Forwards. I just wish the guys hadn't lost their passports last week. I like them. I agree that I don't hate anyone who is left...I'd like the father and son or Miss America and her husband to win at this point.

I don't dislike any of the remaining teams, either. And those two are my favorite teams now (now that Zev and his friend are gone). :cheer2:

I agree about Maria & Tiffany, although lately we haven't seen them dragging around that stupid rolling suitcase, so that may be contributing to my being less annoyed with them ;)

As for letting something keep me from the milliion dollars, I was thinking about that after watching last week's Survivor. I decided that eating sea slugs would be my Achille's heel. I doubt very much I would be able to eat those smoothies and keep it down.

I also agree with a PP about Dubai. Looks incredible. I've added that to my bucket list.

Agree. Those two and the Globetrotters are my fave teams.
