THE AMAZING RACE 15, Season Starts 09/27/09

First time poster to this thread (but I read the whole thing!). Funniest quote last night.

"They don't have bales of hay in the hood".

The Trotters kept such a positive attitude the whole leg even when behind and frustrated. I'm so glad that they came in first. :thumbsup2

We had to pause and rewatch Flight Time on the amusement ride. With him having squeezed his eyes tightly shut, we were expecting to hear screaming like a girl. DH said that would have been mine to do.

With DH's allergies, there is no way he would have been able to do this one. Even just driving the truck when we bale hay with the family is enough to give him fits.

I really like the physically or mentally difficult tasks. Some seasons, some of the challenges look very simple.

I agree! They are our favorite team of this season - probably of the entire show! The are so darn funny and seem like they are having a great time.

You knew as soon as they showed Brian entering the hay field saying "The last team to check in may be eliminated" that this was a non-elimination pit-stop.

And yes, Brian and the Beauty Queen can go next, thankyouverymuch. They are really the only team left we don't like.

Pretty much each leg states "may be eliminated".

But they specifically show Brian as he is already walking in the field and they even put the words on the screen since you could hardly hear him. Instant tip off. No reason for them to it like that otherwise.

And yes I know they state that at each leg, but this was clearly different.

Yes indeedy, a great episode. I am glad no one went home....that HAY challenge was horrible. :headache: Dan was soooooooooooo annoying.....sheesh, wait until he sees himself on this challenge.......:headache:

Next week Estonia....my DH's family is from Estonia!! :yay:

Dan was so annoying yelling at Sam, but he definitely realized it later. I know it's insensitive, but we couldn't help but laugh at him, crying like a baby at the mat! :rotfl2:

Megan was more annoying than Ericka in this leg, but I think she realized it, too. :rotfl: It was great when she hid the flag in her pocket to trick him. Lots of fun stuff last night. The Globetrotters dancing away from the mat. Father/son walking away kicking their heels, the brothers racing each other to the mat/clue box. Fun episode.

Waitttttttt......that's not fair.......as Brian and Ericka approached the HAY challenge I said to DH, if Ericka does THIS challenge, I will have to leave the room........because she would have whined and whined and whined ::yes:: and then she would have cried and cried and cried .......like she did over the BELLS!! :headache: :headache: :headache:

I love the Globetrotters! They are too funny :)
I worry about them for next week. Looks like Flight Time falls while running and takes one of the brothers down with him. Hope no one is injured!
Loved that Big Easy was too tall to ride the drop ride!

Aww it's not fair to say that Megan whined. She didn't even complain until she had been at it for 2 hours!! I think she did great considering she was the only female doing the challenge! I was proud of her.

Great episode! I was thrilled the Globe Trotters came in first. they have definitely become my favorite team. They have a great attitude and seem to have lots of fun.

I thought she was pretty annoying at the sandbag/bomb thing too though. To be fair, she did say they were having a bad day - the teams do have them from time to time (some more than others - ahem, brian & erica ;)).

True, I'll give you that. She was whiny at the sandbag task.

And Erica, ugh, it's sad because I really like Brian, but I can't wait to see them go because of her.

haha - I feel the same way! At this point though, I really like the Globetrotters and the father/son. Didn't realize how much I liked them until I watched this week. I was really rooting for a non-elimination leg!!

Same here. I was willing Phil to say "however...." My daughter jumped up and squealed when he revealed it was a non-elimination leg. She loves pinky and the brain (that's what we have called them too...lol).

Speaking of pinky and the brain, did anyone else get a kick out of someone (the brothers, I think) describing them as "Matt and his dad". I was like, what, the dad doesn't have a name of his own? lol

While she may have been whiny, SHE was doing the task correctly. Ask anybody who has served in the military. The fastest and easiest way to fill those bags is by one person holding it open while the other fills it. I wasn't impressed with the way Cheyne blew her off as she told him how it would go faster.

I still can't believe nobody else wore gloves during the hay bale challenge. You won't find anybody working without them around our family. And I give her a lot of credit. Those bales are not light in any way shape or form. After 2 hours of unrolling bales, I know I would be hot and fustrated. I will also say, if I had been partnered with Dan, I sooo would have told him every time you scream, I am sitting and taking a break. Unlike the last time, according to the clip I watched, the clue was buried in the hay, not just laid in between the rolled up layers. It even said in the clue you would have to pull the stack apart.

They are by far my favorite team as well. Though, my favorite quote had to do with the naming of the gnome:

"Louisiana Shorty?"
"Nah, too ghetto"

I was cracking up.

I'm also ready for the beauty queen and her husband to go.

::yes:: yea, this is where she started to annoy me. I should have said that Cheyne annoyed me, too, when he wasn't cooperating with the sandbags, and then when he stood there silently at the hay bales clue, and Megan finally had to say she would do it because he wasn't saying anything. He should have done that challenge, it takes more physical strength.

Anyway, Megan totally redeemed herself in my eyes when she hid the flag. :lmao: It did seem that editing had something to do with it. Cheyne had made that comment early on about how well they work together as a team, so you knew they were going to have to show something contrary to that. ;)

Oh yeah, we were cracking up too. What did they ultimately end up with again? Gnome Trotter?

Did anyone notice that Matt (Pinky) was sitting on his gnome when his dad found the flag? It didn't look comfortable either. lol
