THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

Who knew cheese rolling down a hill would be such comedy gold!! :lmao: It definitely seems like there are a lot of annoying teams this time around. So far I'm pulling for the mother/son team. I loved that Phil signed, "You're team number 1!" Ahh.. it's good to have TAR back!!

I think I might have just rolled it down, and hopefully aimed it in the right direction, since you could go get the ones that got away:rotfl:

I think the cheese bit was the hardest I've ever laughed in any Amazing Race episode.

I'm another one that can't believe that anyone thinks they can go on this show if they are not well conditioned. You don't have to be fast but you sure need to have strength and stamina.

What a great first episode!! So glad they barely touched on the initial getting to the airport drama. Loved the bungie jumping!!:thumbsup2 Somehow I don't think that was how they intended the cheese part to play out!:rotfl2: I don't know what made me laugh more, watching the teams on the hill or watching the blue local men crack up!! Between the falling and cheese rolling, the producers were lucky no body got hurt. Glad the Mom & son were #1 and got the trip! I don't think I'm going to like the lawyers. I think I am going to like the stuntmen!

I liked the mom and son and also cried when they won. As usual it will take awhile before I can keep all of the teams straight.

Scenery tonight was wonderful!

Loved the first episode!! Cheese.....HI-larious!
But, if those cheese backpacks break down so easily, how do you think the real cheese carriers get them down? Do you think those were just something they used a long time ago or something they just rigged up for the show? I can't imagine it being as funny if they had an actual piece of equipment to cart the cheese around. :happytv:
SOoooo glad the Preston team is gone. Didn't think she was going to last long anyway.

That one couple that turned around and showed their bumms. They said that they walked up and down the hill the right way. Did anyone see that?

They walked down side ways. They weren't giving the show everyone else was, so they were only on a little bit.

Hey guys. I had a couple of people email me last year that some of you gals/guys read my recaps at Cinema Blend. My name is Matt (duh) and I'm recapping this season as well. If you want to read them, they are usually up after the show (depending on how fast I type. haha) within an hour or two.

http://www.cinemablend.com/television/ is the main link but if you want me to post direct links to it after I have it up, I will.

I do appreciate knowing that at least a couple people read what I write.
Another fan here! Keep up the good work! :goodvibes
So far I'm pulling for the mother/son team. I loved that Phil signed, "You're team number 1!" Ahh.. it's good to have TAR back!!
Me too...it brought tears to my eyes :lovestruc

Loved tonight's show!

The opening scene - the lighthouse is maybe 1 mile from my house! My son's elementary did (does) their annual picnic there! And the bluffs Phil was walking on are maybe 1/2 mile-1 mile from my house. I can't believe Phil was in my neighborhood and I didn't know!!!!!

The cheese was the most hilarious thing I've seen in a long time.

I'm liking the mother/son team...the stuntmen...and the bro/sis (so far). Not liking the flight attendants, the hillbillies or the team that was booted.

I was impressed, though, with the way the hillbillies got the cheese down the hill so quickly.

Can't wait for next week.....

I never knew I could laugh so hard at runaway cheese! :happytv: :lmao: I loved it!

Glad to see the orange team go, that woman was such a whiner! I'm sure it was hard, but she could've slid down with one hunk of cheese like the hillbilly lady did, instead of whining that she couldn't do it. Her boyfriend cracked me up, though, when he said "I don't even like cheese. I think I may never eat cheese again!" :lmao:

I love the mom and son team (hmm, what's up with that? Toni and Dallas were my fave last season, too!). I also like the stunt men, the brother/sister lawyers, the dad and son, the older couple, the sisters, etc. :rotfl2: I'll have to wait and see which teams start to bug me as the season goes on! ;)

It was GREAT! Loved it! The cheese had me laughing so darn hard- but if that were me I would have slipped and blown out a knee, for SURE. I like the stunt men, and the sisters..

Another huge TAR fan here and I was sooper excited for tonight's episode. I really enjoyed it. I was a huge fan of the cheese challenge. That was just a crack up! :rotfl: The hicks (can't remember their name) kinda remind me of David and Mary from a few seasons back. I thought their take on the cheese challenge was very creative and I always root for the underdogs!

WOOHOO TAR IS BACK

I'm glad it's back on too!! Yeah!!!

My fav teams are the stuntmen and the mom/son pair.

The cheese thing was HILARIOUS!! OMG, how fast those cheeses went down the hill, I'm surprised they didn't kill anyone LOL! I bet that task took awhile.

I'm glad the orange whiny team left. I also don't like the flight attendants. I thought they would have done better at navigating train stations, etc.

We were dying through the cheese challenge here, too. What a hoot! I had the suggestion that one team member roll them down, while the other played "goalie" at the bottom. Not sure if that would have been allowed, though.

Glad to see the orange team go. When they were bickering on the train, it just seemed awfully early on to be having those kinds of fights. I can understand the pressure of many days with little sleep, lots of stress--it could be hard on people. But this was the first leg!

Loved seeing mother/son team come in first. They're my current favorites, mostly because I have a son named Luke (mine is cuter, though--of course, he's 3!). The hillbillies were annoying camping, but then did great in the challenge. I don't think they'll last too long, though--she said she can't run. How many times does a footrace at the end come into this?

OMG! I've never even watched this show before, but my mom just happened to have it on...we were BOTH laughing hysterically during the cheese challenge! I don't think I've heard my mom laugh so hard in a REALLY long time. I loved when the 'cheese backpacks' would just smash to pieces and the cheese ZOOMED down the hill! Also, the locals drinking beer and laughing their butts off at the hilarious spectacle.

I guess I'm hooked. Gotta watch the rest of the season now!

I think the best line came from the short-statured couple. After they were done with the cheese rolling and in the car, the dude says, "Those things weighed half as much as me! Those frickin' cheeses!" :rotfl2:

My husband and I laughed at Steve's comment to Linda while he is pushing her up the hill..."we didn't get here by being idiots" (Uh, yeah you did! You are what producers call comedic relief) :lmao: And I didn't quite get it but when Linda was in the parking lot before they found the yodelers (sp?)... did she tell Steve they were dumb a____ because they couldn't find the pit stop. It wasn't bleeped out, so I'm not sure what she said. :

That was a good 1st episode!! I was laughing at the cheese part.

That Linda...get a grip! If I applied for TAR, I would be running miles on my treadmill as soon as they did a follow up interview just incase!

So would I. I would be out there running, especially running up steps and hills and learning how to drive a stick shift. I might practice eating disgusting food too, just in case, and maybe learn how to rappel. Anyone who has ever watched the show knows that those things are a possibility.

I actually really like the stunt men, I knew they would have no problems with the bungee jumping.

The father and son team. The son has been in several movies, Ive seen him before several times. I am suprised they let movie stars(Or whatever you want to call him)on the TAR:confused3

The mother and son team worked well together:thumbsup2
