Another Kadani question-if you are taking Magical Express from MCO will it drop you off right at the Kadani check in area? How long does the trip take?

Yes, it drops off at Kidani and then Jambo. But our Magical Express bus also dropped off at 2 or 3 other resorts first. AKL was the last stop (with kidani being before jamob).

The bus ride from MCO wasnt too long. I think we got on the bus around 6pm sometime and arrived at our resort shortly before 8pm.

The ME bus will take you to Kidani, so don't worry about having to walk from Jambo House! As for trip duration, it will vary depending on which resorts the bus stops at first. We've stayed at Kidani a couple of times and in both cases, the bus delivered folks to Pop Century and CBR before going to Jambo House and Kidani Village. Based on our experience, the trip from the airport to Kidani takes somewhere between 30-45 minutes.

The resort shops sell pints of real dairy half & half. If you are asking about pure cream I don't know. :)

Yes, that's exactly what I saw down there not an hour ago. I did not see straight cream nor any of those flavored creamers.

thanks everyone! i believe the 1 beds at kidani have an extra bath right?

also, do most people get the dining plan? the price seems really high now - i dont remember it being that high. wondering if its worth it now?

Hi all! If staying at Jambo AKV can we go over to Kidani's community hall and rent movies to bring back to our room? Jambo doesnt have a community hall type place for DVC right?

Yep, Kidani one BRs have two full baths. Have no idea how many people do the DDP.

The last I knew, there was a selection of DVDs in the store to borrow for DVC members. I'll try to remember to ask next time I'm down there as we're at Jambo right now.

News mugs are available at Mara. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

that would be awesome THANKS! My kids loved going to the Community Hall at OKW and getting DVD's each night....

Though if we have to go from Jambo to Kidani each night to do so- hmmmmm

The studio Villas in Jambo have DVD players, right?

There are DVDs in the Zawadi gift shop at Jambo. The only trick is if you are leaving really early in the morning for something the shop may not open until after you leave, and that makes it hard to return the DVD by the deadline. That happened to us one day last year.

Hi had to downsize group and now the 18 year old girls are camping out in the den. Just wondering if the beds are comfy. Thanks!!!!.

I have no idea how many people get it, but, I think it's only worthwhile if you would normally eat exactly the way the dining plan is configured. Personally, I rarely get a drink with a QS meal and I definitely don't get the desserts. So, a dining plan gives me more food, but, I had to pay more for it too.

what's the "Hoop"????

Hoop Dee Doo Revue is a dinner/musical at Pioneer Hall at Ft. Wilderness Resort. It's full of song, dance and lots of corny jokes. It is a lot of fun!

:goodvibes

My SIL and BIL sleep on the sleeper sofa in Jambo House this past October and they said it was not bad.

They were not careful the last night in opening the bed, and got the sheets caught in the folding arm, it was funny, until it took about 6 service people to cut away the sheets and get it unstuck!

ah, thought it was something at AKL!!!
we saw it in 05, loved it!!!

Check out menus and prices first to see if its worth it for you. We tried going with out it on our June trip since I was going to get a TiW card (20% discount) and the second day we called to BEG them to add the dining plan because our cheapest dinner the first night was $75 and lunch was $30 without dessert (this was when the plan was $40.) Prices of meals have gone up as well...so yes, the dining plan is more, but you're also paying more when you do OOP. As a PP has mentioned, if you don't buy drinks, desserts, etc. and you eat from a la carte restaurants (non-buffet) then it might be worthwhile to just pay OOP. If you do character meals, then you should definitely do the dining plan...the character meals cost almost as much as the DDP for adults, and MORE than the DDP for kids (a few are $17.99...a kids dining plan is $11.99!)

when you stay at AKL/V do you typically try to eat at the resorts restaurants? We've done Boma dinner twice, so we probably won't do that again but- I would love to hear about Boma Breakfast, Sanaa and Jiko!

Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2 We will try to be careful when opening.

Ah yes, if you have kids aged 3-9 then the DDP can become worthwhile.
