Hi Tyler!! Thanks for all the scoop, it's great info! One question, if I don't want to pay for a preferred room, what would you say would be the next best building to stay in. I'm a very light sleeper so I would like to be able not to hear a lot of noise from traffic or pool area, but I do want to be close to the front desk and food court.

Pop Century Bound September 4-11.

GREAT JOB TYLER !

We will be staying at POP for 2 weeks beginning July 31st. We've always stayed at CBR since they opened but decided to add another vacation with our Premium Annual Passes. Can't wait to stay at Pop. We will ask for you when we check in. It will be great to meet you. Doing the 7 digit dance.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanks for all the responses... One more question....I just heard about Pop Warner being there from Dec 5-11. My question is how much overflow is expected to be staying at the Pop during this timeframe? We will be staying there from Dec 3-11.

Thanks again for the help!!!!

Hi can you tell me more about this Pop Warner event ? My wife and I booked into Pop from 26th November until December 11th for our Wedding Anniversary and dont want to be overrun by kids (well more than usual at a Disney resort :-)).

Thanks

Colin

You were the reason that we booked PC during the 4th of July weekend. Your thread gave me the confidence to book at my first value resort, after always staying at moderate or deluxe concierge. We really enjoyed our stay at Pop.

Good luck and I hope you climb the career ladder faster than you expect. People like you, who feel the magic, are what makes people like us come back again and again.

I second that opinion!;) We just returned from POP (July 16-24) and had the great pleasure of meeting Tyler. He is as much of a pleasure in person as he is on these boards.::yes::

From our family, we wish Tyler the best of luck in his new assignment and can't wait to get to WDW again and hopefully ride on his bus. If we have to, we will ride each and every bus available just to get his:crazy:

GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND:wave:

I just wanted to thank you, Tyler, for all the help and good will you spread here on the DIS, both before, on the Transportation board, and of late, here with Pop Century. You are remarkable.

I have never even been to PC yet, drove by it while in construction a couple years ago. But you have piqued my interest, I must say.

Good wishes in your next endeavor at WDW, hope your dreams become reality. And I do hope to meet you some day.

Good luck, and thanks.

Very well said Dan.

Good luck again Tyler.

Sad that you're going  but it's a good reason. That's what counts!!!

Before our trip to POP in May, I read somewhere in these posts and I believe it was from Tyler, the suggested way to word your room requests when faxing them in. I used his suggestion and received every one of our requests. I have looked and looked and can't find the post. We're going in September and will be faxing our request again. Does anyone remember the suggested wording? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if Everything Pop has toasters? I have special bread that I eat and I thought maybe I would take a loaf with me and take it over to EP and toast it for breakfast while DBF eats. Am I weird for even asking this? ;)

If I remember correctly, there were toasters in the area where the beverage stations were. I seem to remember people using them, I never did myself. I know that they were selling bagels and stuff in the food court and I think that people were toasting them.

great job Tyler and congratulations.

Tyler, I know we will all miss you for sure! :worried:

You have given me soooo much insight and information and we feel so excited and prepared for our check-in tomorrow (7/31) because of all the wonderful advice and input you have shared with all of us!

I hope to meet you tomorrow. My 40th birthday is Monday and I'm celebrating at POP! I'm so happy and also fortunate enough to be bringing my 92 year old grandma to celebrate with me and the rest of my family, she's really looking forward to the nostalgia of it all.

Thanks again for everything! Good luck as you transition back to transportation! :teleport:

Does anyone have any recent pictures of the rooms at Pop?

Thanx!

Rhonda22 (I think)

If you go back to page 100 Tyler had taken some pictures around POP-not sure if there where any of the rooms but I know there was some of the outside. Hope this helps:sunny:

I will be working Luggage Dispatch in the morning, so you can just ask a luggage runner for me, and if I'm not tied down to the phone or computer, I'll be able to come out and say HI. :)

Tyler, you have given so much to us here on the Dis Boards, and we will surely miss you. You're the reason I decided to give the Pop Century a try in the first place! I couldn't make up my mind about a place to stay for a couple of nights before moving over to the cabins, and then I stumbled on this thread. Somewhere back several pages I found your pictures you had posted and that really sold me! Now we are all Pop converts and are planning to come back in November.

Thanks so much again!

(you know us Southern Belles, we really have to write those "thank you" notes!)

We just made our final payment and spoke to an AWESOME CM. His name was Radcliffe and he went on and on about how awesome POP is and how we are going to have such a great time. He says he is over there every chance he gets because it is just 'So Disney.' He really made me even more excited for our upcoming trip :) Do you know him, Tyler? If so, tell him THANKS so much!!! He, IMO, was the epitome of what a Reservationist Disney CM should be :)

Well it looks like my family is staying at the Pop Century from August 12th - August 17th! We haven't stayed in a value resort in three years, but I am actually really excited to stay here!

There is so many pages on this thread that have this question I can only assume, but can you guys reccomend the best section's to try for at check-in if they offer a choice? Any other tip/hint/picture websites that you guys can reccomend?

Well thanks in advance!!

Mike
