Tyler, do the king bed rooms and the special access rooms have specific room assignments? I'd like to add that info on to the map.

I created these with Visio 2002 and saved them in jpg format. I can create higher resolution versions.

Anyone familiar with the AllStars... If you could check my work I'd appreciate it.

See your PM for info on Kings.

As for the All-Stars... thier connecting rooms will be different than Pop's... I know they don't have as many connecting rooms as we do. Not sure on thier layout.

What time does the pools close?? Are there life guards at all 3 pools or only in the 60's??

Also, hubby is doing the Richard Petty Driving Experience on the Wednesday of our tirp. After reading the first 75 pages of this Very long :hyper: topic, I just wanted to verify what we need to do and not be late, or he would maybe hurt me just a little.

If we are at the bus area at 7am, there will be a bus taking people to MK even though the MK is not the early entry park for that day?? Or would we be better to have a taxi take us over there??

Thank you for all your tips and advice!! :sunny:

OK everyone, here is the map including King bed information.

I also made a full size version (1250x760). Here are the URLs.

What a superior job on the POP Room Map! You da man!!

It's nice to know that I'm not the only person in the world who would find putting together a map like that great fun:p :hyper:

I saw in your thread that there ae no coffee makers in the rooms. Are you allowed to bring one? If not do the have anything like the refillable pop mugs where you pay one price and then can use it for as long as you stay? My husband drinks a lot of coffee. If he has to buy it by the cup how mcuh is it?

Refillable mugs are available for 11.99 and because there are 3 beverage stations in the food court and no room is too far away from it, they are a good deal for coffee-drinkers...as well as soda and frozen Coke drinkers (etc)

I'm a former college Resident Assistant, so my gut instict says no to bringing the coffee maker. However, I'm not sure there is any rule against it... but... I'm not sure. Best bet would be to call CRO and ask them.

I visited POP 8/21/04-8/28/04 one day only on our trip. I have to say I 'am so glad we did NOT stay there sorry folks but it was NASTY the floor at the food court was really sticky food/sugar all over counters. People at the frount desk could not even answer simple questions I did not even conplain because I was not staying there but there was a lady that got moved to another resort which was a up grade (m) and another person went to all stars sport where we stayed it was so clean at all star sport. Also the buses were really bad allot of people on our bus turned around to see what group of people where waiting and it said (pop). I just reporting what I saw if I booked the pop when I saw it I would request something else right away after seeing the big mess at the food court and it was not just in one place.

While I'm dissapointed you didn't enjoy your stay, to each their own. My family's stay was 100% the opposite and would stay there in a heart-beat OVER ...say the Grand Floridian which we disliked GREATLY.

So sorry that you didn't enjoy your visit at PC. From what I understand in your message, you just visited PC and did not stay. I don't think that anyone just visiting could get a good feeling for this wonderful resort. Our stay was fantastic. Sure, sometimes someone drops something, makes a mess, but be assured that the PC staff are on top of things. We found PC to be very clean and the staff to be well informed, and always willing and able to answer questions.
As for the buses...at one time or another all resort buses have a line up at the bus stop.

To all future PC guests.... Don't let this negative comment discourage you. :)

Help...Could someone give me some advice? We are supposed to be flying into WDW 9/7 thru the 15th. We are staying at the pop century. We are using frequent flyer miles and at this very moment we have the option if moving back our arrival until the 9th without a penalty. Normally it would be $300. Should we arrive on the 9th instead of the 7th incase there is massive damage to WDW? opinions please!!!!

I'm about as close to a meteorologist as you're gonna find on this board (my credentials---while we were at WL on 8/11 at 7 am., I started broadcasting to folks down there about the serious threat from Charley...long before the local meteorologists sounded the alarm!)

My opinion is that even if Disney takes a direct hit from Frances (VERY unlikely), the difference between the 7th and the 9th will be negligible...BOTH dates would be bad then!. It's much more likely that Disney will be dealt a glancing blow, with winds not up to Charley's strength...and things will have cleared out by the 7th. So if I was in your position I'd stick with what you have.

Thanksfor the info about the refillable mugs. Can you use one mug for both cofee ( in the am) and then pop in the evening or are they two diffrent types? Also do most people just rinse them out and then reuse them - I guess I am asking how do you wash themfrom day to day?

Buy the palmolive dish wipes at your local store to clean your refillable mugs. They work great.

So far from what we're hearing is that this one will be worse than Charley, and will be coming right over Disney and the Orlando area. 156+ mph winds, and 15-20+ inches of rainfall. :( :(

Tyler,

What's going on there? I'm sure WDW has a plan in place - is it being executed? Will they "park" the buses, board up the vulnerable glass areas, stock up on food & water, generators? Keep us posted if you can, please. We're all praying for you all. :grouphug:

Tyler and others-

I'll admit that things look a little worse for Central Florida this morning...BUT the wind and rain estimates you quote seem way out of line to me (especially the wind part). Still, it's a nasty storm, and some areas are going to get it really bad...but still more likely the East Coast. Good luck and our prayers.
