Hi- Staying at GF for the first time on Tuesday.. going to try online check in. I am staying in a standard garden view room. Is there a particular building that I should request? have two kids 6 and 9. Also, is the only way to get to epcot is the monorail or is there a bus? How long do the buses take to get to the other parks.. i read that they stop at other resorts? Is this true? Thanks so much in advance.

I think the buildings are all nice. We did not request anything when we were there in August and got upgraded to a lagoon view in Big Pine Key (very nice view of the Polynesian) and then after we had to be relocated due to a leak in the bathroom, we ended up in a theme park view in Boca Chica (even better--we could see the train station on Main Street!). I decided not to upgrade to see what would happen, and I think we were lucky to get very nice locations. I think the grounds are so nice and compact that all the buildings are fine.

To get to Epcot, you have to take the resort monorail to the TTC and then transfer to the Epcot line. There is no bus. Busses will go to DHS and AK; whether they stop or not varies. You should always allow at least 45 minutes to get to those parks, but a lot of times, it's faster than that.

We left GF this morning after a wonderful stay in RPC. My daughter and her friends were so surprised when I drove up and told them we were staying at the GF! When we were shown to our room-4413, they were wowed. The concierge staff were magical.

We don't have any photos. I lost my camera at the MK on Sunday. Yesterday, I checked lost and found and sure enough, someone had turned it in. By that time though, the room was a mess- you can imagine 3 teenage girls changing outfits 3x/day??? Pics of that would not be pretty.

CRFan, I was reading a dining report from this past week that showed the strawberry yogurt....no sign that it wasn't operating. I hope it is working when you are there.

Thank you for that response and I guess we will find out the answer 2 weeks from tonight, because the day my family and I arrive to WDW we are planning to eat a late dinner at Gasparilla's.

That two BR looks incredible. Did you enjoy it?

rie'smom, glad your stay was so much fun. What a great surprise for the girls! BTW, I think if your room had a daybed, you can count on it not being a deluxe.

BlueSkies, this trip we're at YC and then BLT. I first tried for GF to no avail but am now looking forward to YC as we've never stayed on that side of the resort.

Does anyone have the correct address that would ensure the Royal Palm Club ladies receive their gifts?

The rules state that any gifts for the Club Level Cast Members can not be more then $75.00 in value, so just something you should know before you send them out.

There is an entire DVC sub forum about renting or trading points. We've never done either but I've looked at it for fun from time to time. Be sure to read the rules about posting as they are very specific. Good luck!
