I survived the storm. It was nasty. No broken windows from the hail but it looks like a couple of dings on my car :sad2:

I always try to plan for one nice meal while at Disney. I am always thwarted! DH and the kids say Disney is no place to dress up! :sad2: I would love to eat at Citricos or Artist pointe but its always a no go!

I am an overpacker!!!! I couldn't live with 2 outfits a piece :rotfl2: but 10 a piece is going to be way too much as well :lmao:

I am not sure I am liking the sound of the laundry facility in RPC :scared1:
Is there an elevator right next to it? I would hate to be dragging my dirty undies past V&A:rotfl2:

Hi all the clock is ticking down and my stay at the GF is only 7 days away! Just to be on the prepared side has anyone been able to purchase any of the loose leaf teas from the Tea Room? I just love the mango flavored one.

Thanks
Gretchen

You won't have to go by V&A ;)

From the RPC Lounge, for example, you'll take the long hallway off of the kids'/TV section of the lounge and go down to the elevator which will be on your left. Take it to the 2d floor. Take a left (you won't have a choice) and the laundry room is at the end of the hallway on your left.
I think I remember reading that this is the ONLY guest laundry room in the main bldg.

Didnt realize that you could get personalized menus here too...good to know...:thumbsup2 Makes a great keepsake!

As for laundry...no laundry on vacation for me... if anyone runs out of anything...they will just have to do without!!!!:rotfl:

I didn't know it either. It was a complete surprise in March when my DH and DS1 received them. I had ordered cakes for them though.

I bought the signature tea earlier this year on one of our trips. I don't know how many types are offered though.

7 days....you must be very excited. :cool1: Have a great trip and let us know all about it, please.:surfweb:

Praline, I'm glad all is well.

My DD's friend bought a tin of the Eros tea a while back, so I know that one is available. It was very expensive, though, $25 for a small tin!

I'm glad you survived the storm, Praline! We get a lot of thunderstorms here, too, so hail damage is common. I don't think I've gotten any on my latest car - 2 years without hail dings is a record, I think!

Make sure that you have lots of quarters with you for the wash... last time I did them there were no change machines in the laundry rooms and I had to hike it over to Gaspy's to get some.

Just a tip... take a prescription bottle (an old one...) and fill it with quarters... usually gets me through the wash... it did for 2 of us for the 15 night PC cruise with 4 days at WDW and 4 days at DL...

ALSO.. the mini M&M containers work good too for quarters... and you get to eat the candy too... :goodvibes

Good point about the quarters! I like to bring a couple of rolls from home. The Poly and AKL have coin machines in their laundry rooms but I don't think I've ever seen them at the GF. VERY inconvenient to have to go to Gasparilla's :headache:
So cute about the Mini M&M containers... :cutie:

Does anyone use mousekeeping envelopes and do you have any GF designs?

Thanks,

I can't remember the site, but I googled "mousekeeping envelopes" and I was sent to a site that had so many designs to choose from. If no-one can give you a GF one, I suggest you try an internet search -- we thought the designs (free) we found and printed out on our envelopes were so cute and fun!:)

go to the creative Designs forum and a lot of people have psoted mousekeeping envelopes, some have them for each resort :thumbsup2

I got 2 personalized menus - one for our anniversary and the other for my birthday. Not sure what I'll do with two...:rotfl:

No, but wanted to throw out what I do each trip.
I give my DD a stack of envelopes and she decorates them herself!!! This trick is two fold ... I don't have to be creative and I can keep her busy and out of my hair!!!
She gets a kick out of doing them too!

Glad to hear I don't have to pass V&A with my dirty laundry ~ there is just something really creepy about that idea :rotfl2:

I booked Savannah for the Alice tea party so I might try and do laundry while she is there.

:laundy::laundy::laundy::laundy::laundy::laundy:

We just came back from a 10-day trip where we tried this same experiment. 3 people, 3 carry-on bags, no luggage! We did end up doing a couple of loads of laundry half-way through our trip. It was worth it not having to deal with so much stuff!........

We're trying that on our next trip - 5 weeks in Florida and only 1 carry on each :scared1:

We do have an Owners Locker which means we already have a lot of our "US" stuff over there, like plug adapters, battery chargers etc., and some clothes for DH & I. I'll do some laundry and we'll buy some things if we need them but it will be so much less hassle than bringing suitcases. Especially getting off the plane after a 9 hour flight.

I know they are charging for packages being delivered. Is this the case for the the companies delivering groceries for you? We used Garden Grocer last year and will be again, just wondering if they now charge to except these deliveries.

Thanks,

Joe

Just placed our order last night. They charged us $12 for delivery. Orders over $200 the delivery was free.
