The all new extension to Tagliarchy Island.

The fact that I was hit wasn't personal to me, any adult who had been there at the time would have been hit. It was also the fact that the boy showed no remorse for his actions and contiued to show anger towards staff as he then threw his shoe at some adults who were trying to help him. The shoe hit one of them (not me but I was there at the time.) Now we both have bruises from the incident.

How did the parents of this boy react? Was he given any kind of punishment at home?

His parents were apologetic but am not sure about punishment at home (his dad has shown anger towards staff too so we are not sure what his home life is like). As for school he will not be allowed back for at least 3 weeks whilst we seek advice on the situation (it is not the first time he has shown violence towards staff.) He might be excluded from the school completely but it is hard to do this and we need to make sure we have all the evidence and paper work in place to do this. He really needs a school that is equiped to cope with children with anger problems. Luckily we have one of these schools near to ours but it is hard to get children in there.

What an awful situation :(....sure hope the boy gets moved to the other school and is able to deal with his anger problems

Hey all,

WOW DanaUK, that is a rough one. It makes you just want to get the entire family into counselling. I only hope that I am a better parent than that.

OK, I have a problem. I ordered DW a baby gift. Something for her as a special thank you. It is a little piece of jewelry that will have some special significance to her. My question, Should I give it to her now, wait a few more weeks, or wait until after the baby is born.

The advantage of Now is that it came in yesterday, and it is burning a hole in my pocket (so to speak). The Disadvantage is that I may have to give her another gift!?!

I also thought of giving it to her right before the Tag Meet, but I have the same problem...

I am having trouble with the concept of waiting though.....

The young girls in my office are telling me to wait, but the older ones know that I have an impatience problem with giving to Robin....

What are your thoughts?

:bounce:

I say wait. ;) (I just want to see if you can keep a secret. I've only known you to be able to do that once - and it was a doozy!!!)

 CourtesanSatine, btw, what's up on the DBF front? inquiring minds want to know???

Long post, just warning ya!

Wow... yesterday was crazy! First, thanks to everyone for your happy b-day wishes!!

Okay, let me start my story two days ago on Thursday afternoon after drill team practice. My dad along with my grandparents were picking me up, and I asked my dad to pop the trunk so I could put all of my bags in the back. Well, right as he popped the trunk I saw all these cookies in the back and he said that I wasn't supposed to know about them. You see, earlier in the month him and my mom were 'jokingly' talking about sending cookies or cupcakes on the bus to the football game on my birthday. So I guessed in my mind what they were for, and just told my dad that I didn't see them even though he knew I was lying. Okay, I don't think ya'll want to hear about my entire day, so fast forward to the bus around 1:15 PM. We're on the road and they announce that we're having cookies brought by my dad for my birthday. So everyone says thank you, and they're really good store-bought cookies! Hehehe... Okay, for this story to make any sense, you have to know that my parents had told me they weren't going to the game since it was so far away (4 hours on bus!!) even though my mom had a meeting in Austin that day (The game was in Waco...). So after the halftime performance, we were sitting in our stands about to go on break when my drill team instructor guided our attention to her in front of all of us. I can't remember what it was that made me turn my head, but I looked to my left and there were my parents with a vase of two pink roses!!! Everyone saw them as said "Awwwwwwwww" like typical teenage girls and after the instructor said we could go on break, I talked to my parents and they told me that even my brother had come!! Yeah... all of this was a huge surprise to me and they even said that I could go home with them after the game (they had gotten a note signed by the principal w/out me knowing) if I wanted to. So I said yeah and after the game was over, we went home and got home around 2 AM!! I slept and I just woke up at 11. Now I really got to go and do homework!!

I didn't want to ask but I just can't help myself, what was the doozy? I bet it was a marriage proposal to a special someone! ;)

Yup, that's what it was. And the secret wasn't just that he was going to propose but when and how. To top it off, it seemed just about everyone in the city knew - at least his whole family, my sister, and all the ladies at the bulk mail center of the post office knew. ohanafamily even told the flight attendant AND showed her my ring on the way to Orlando. He had a this elaborate scheme all planned out on our first day at WDW, where he popped the question.
