We went in July and found more kids in the Atrium level then we imagined we would see since everyone says it is a business hotel.

I did not notice anything convention like going on. I'm sure they are but you do not get that impression from the lobby area.

One question I do have is that I was trying to book something next summer and wanted to get a suite on the 14th floor. Any suites offered are only in the Garden wing or Bay Lake towers. I wanted to stay in the main building. My husband snores so badly that I was waking him half the night and neither of us slept well. :coffee: We keep seperate bedrooms at home for exactly this reason.
I did not think it would be as bad as it was, but it makes me realize that we NEED a suite. Should I think they are all booked for next year?

There are various suites that are available on the Tower Club 14th floor and there is a Garden Wing suite, however I am not sure if they have one or a few of them.

All the pictures I took while I was just there.

Can someone please tell me about the daybeds in the tower rooms??

What size are they, twin?

I want to book a tower room but not sure if we can get away with a king bed plus the daybed. We have 2 kids - will be 6 & 4 when we go & wanted to know if they could pull off sleeping together on the day bed.

I think getting the king room will give us more room...

Here is a link to a photo of the daybed made-up as a bed:

IMHO, it would be a very tight fit for two children:crowded:, but you know your kids best:).

Thank you... yes that would be a tight fit.

If we get the king room we'll just have them add the roll away!

You'll also want to take into consideration that the availability of king beds is very limited, and not guaranteed except in the garden wing, where there is a separate category that can be book that specifies a guaranteed king bed.

The tower on any given side has about five king beds out of 150 rooms. They aren't guaranteed and cannot be guaranteed for any reason. For your party mix, I'm not sure why two queens wouldn't work... there's still plenty of space even with the two beds.

You can only have 3 people in a king room, including children. We had one reserved for our family and had to add one grandchild to our room and one to their parents room because of the limit of 3 occupancy.

Yes, they will NOT let you book a king room with more than three people, unfortunately.

AND, Disney does NOT have rollaways at the deluxe properties.

You will be put into a room with 2 queens and the daybed for your party.

The only option if you NEED a king bed and want to guarantee it is to book one of the deluxe rooms in the Garden Wing. I believe those have the king bed along with 2 daybeds (or 1 daybed and a sleeper sofa).

Disney does have rollaway beds available at the Contemporary. However, the maximum head count of registered guests can never exceed the number attached to the category, which for king rooms is either two or three.

Not quite- you can also book a standard king room for the garden wing, "CG" is the category. Normal king rooms have only one daybed and the king bed itself. Maximum occupancy is three generally (two in the king, one on the daybed). A sitting chair (not convertible, unlike the BLT sitting chair) is the only additional piece of furniture in the room. "CK" Deluxe rooms have the king bed and the pull-out sleeper sofa and a considerable amount of space, but there's only three of them, one per floor. Four is the maximum occupancy (two in the king, two in the sleeper).

Thanks for all the great info in the rooms...

I thought there might not be a lot of king rooms.

And we def. want to stay in the tower, not the garden wing.

can you purchase milk and juice for the fridge somewhere in the hotel?
I can bring all the other snacks we need and I don't really want to have to shop but the kids will want milk.

You can get it at Fantasia Marketplace or Contempo Cafe. :)
