When did the 14th floor renovation start again? Has this effected the 12th floor Atrium Club?
I believe they started a couple of months ago and there was also reports that it did effect the Atrium Club, because those people who had reservations were told they needed to switch resorts since it would be closed during that time. However others reported that the renovations to the 14th floor had stopped and the Atrium Club re-opened.

The last time I checked online you could still reserve the Atrium Club - Bay Lake View from 12/08/11 - 12/22/11 which are the dates I will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn, so at one point it was still available during that time.

Actually, I just stayed on the 14th floor and the CL CMs were telling me that the planned refurbishment of the 14th has been postponed. Apparently it was set to go (and all the CMs had put in for vacation requests and had them granted) and then they just pushed back the project to an unnamed date. The CM said it's been a bit of a scramble to get the lounge staffed since everyone had planned to be away during part or all of the refurb.

But yes, there are construction screens over a number of the rooms on the Bay Lake side. Didn't get a chance to ask what was going on though!

We are a family of 6 who are booked for next fall at CR...Tower room. My youngest will be under age 3, so I guess he doesnt "count" as far as head count really as far as Disney is concerned. So, my question...I know we can get a pack and play from CR, but we really dont find them all that comfortable for the kids and have to put lots of cushions in them. Is there enough room in the room to rent a crib or toddler bed from A Baby's Best Friend?

Or...how big is the sleeper sofa? Could my 2 & 3 year old share the sleeper sofa?

Thanks :thumbsup2

While I haven't personally done it, I believe I once read that someone did have their two small children sleep together on the sofa, and it worked-out fine and I thought they (or someone else) used a bed rail that housekeeping brought for them. Hopefully, someone will post about their experience to help you make a decision.

It's the size of a small twin. My DS10 and DS2 slept together at the GF daybed. They did OK, I had my little guy sleep against the wall. KOOK is right just call Mousekeeping for a bedrail. If they are used to sharing a bed they will be fine. GF and AKL have the Portable cribs, so possibly you could request one at CR?? My kids never made it through the night in those Pack-n-plays.

Thank you both! Will probably just plan on having the 2 younger ones share the sleeper :thumbsup2

So, after a ridiculous amount of Debate, we're settled on CR TPV for March. Can't wait! Now, tell me all kinds of things about CR to get me excited that only CR crazy fans would know :yay: Doesn't that sound fun? :thumbsup2

Also, a few small questions:

-Does anyone have any idea of good spots w/in the standard room for a pack and play. How big is the bathroom? Big enough for the pack and play?
-Is there an ideal floor or group of room numbers to request for best castle/fireworks view? It is DDalmost2's bday celebration, and she's going to love watching the 8 p.m. Wishes from the room!!

Thanks!

Well I am sure you know that they are the only resort with a walkway that goes to and from the Magic Kingdom, so that's a major plus.

In my opinon the Contempo Cafe is one of the best Quick Service locations in all of WDW.

As for your questions I can tell you the highest non Club Level floor you can request is the 11th floor and if you request an odd number room then your beds will be facing the Magic Kingdom, so it can be the first thing you see when you wake up.

The bathrooms are the biggest I have seen among the Deluxe Resorts haivng previously stayed at the Polynesian, Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club. Plus the toilet is behind another door, so someone else could be in the shower at the same time.

Great to know about the odd # rooms. Anyone out there used a pack and play in the CR? How did it work for you? Best places to put it?

Thanks!

My one TPV suggestion would be "away from Chef Mickeys", unless you never plan to sleep late or nap in the early evening. Enjoy!

Quick question - is the studio at BLT any larger than the rooms at CR?
The CR (non-suite) rooms are larger than a BLT Studio by almost 100 SF. The Studio is about 330 SF and the CR rooms are about 425 SF.
