HI! How much is the CL at the Contemporary Resort at Value Season? Don't they have 2 different levels though? Attrium and something else?

thanks all!

Brunette
Yes, there are two CLs. The Tower Club on the 14th floor is closed for renovation until the fall. It contains the suites. The Atrium Club is on the 12th floor and had been closed, then re-opened last month because the renovation stopped temporarily.

I have a question for all the seasoned vets. We are 25 days out from a well deserved and long awaited 8 days at the CR. First time staying on-site since being and adult paying for my own trip.

So we are 25 days out and I have not received any documents, ME or trip documents. Is this normal? Or should I contact my Disney travel agent and inform her?

Thanks

Hi WDWKOOK!

Thanks for your quick reply. I just checked teh 2011 rates VALUE SEASON for the Attruim club $550.00 a day and the TOWER SUITE CLUB is $1220 a day! WOW, I had no idea it would be more than double in price! I'm sure the Tower Suite Club is gorgeous!!! Thank you Brunette

Hello all CR fans! We are staying at POP for one night after a late day drive and then checking into CR the next day for a week. We would like to drive to the CR early in the morning, park our car in the CR lot so our stuff will be there, and go to the MK at opening. We would prefer not to spend time checking into the CR until later in the day after some MK time.

So, do you get your parking pass at the guard gate after showing your reservation paperwork or do you have to go to the lobby to get it? If we have to go to the lobby, it means we might as well go ahead and check-in (I know the room may not be ready).

FWIW, we will have a crib mattress and other stuff since we are driving that would be too much to have bell services at POP transfer to the CR. The reason for wanting our stuff there is so we can unload the mattress for a late afternoon nap (our kid sleeps sooo much better on his own mattress on the floor). Also, i'm not a big fan of online check-in, plus it would mean we'd still have to spend time in the lobby versus going straight to MK.

Sorry for the long post but i'm sure someone here can answer where you get your parking pass and maybe provide options for us. Thanks in advance!

It must be a union rule:laughing:

Thanks for the info CR Resort Fan 4 Life and WDWKOOK. I'll be sure to let DH know that he cannot take matters into his own hands during our vacation. :lmao: I've already told him I've planned everything out so all he has to do is follow directions and go where I tell him to go. That should be easy enough, but oh, wait...forgot...takes him at least 2 days to switch from "work" mode where he GIVES directions and "husband" mode where he FOLLOWS directions. :rotfl2: Like that ever happens!

We are down to just 2 more days until we arrive at our first ever CR stay. I am so stressed and so excited. I hope excited takes over soon because right now it is mostly stress.

We're now 3 days out from check-in for my first stay at the CR since 1985 and everyone else's first stay there ever. It's also our first time on CL. I'm so excited I can barely get any work done (and I have work that has to be done before I can leave).

I'm sure once we're in the car, the stress will melt away. Hope you find the same.

After the Cast Member working at the guard shack checks your name off a list he or she will then give you your parking pass.

We might run into you in the CL. Hope the trip to Disney is wonderful! My stress is already getting less as the hours get less!

CRRF4L: I already posted to the Resort Changers' thread that I'll probably post The Wave breakfast buffet and other mis. CR photos after you get back home.

I've never done ME, but I thought they mailed those luggage tags and ME docs. out about one month prior to arrival? I'd say if you don't get them by Friday you should contact your TA.

As soon as our car gets out of our neighborhood, I feel great. It's like a big pre-trip burden has been lifted and then I feel like my vacation has started. (Especially when we stop at our first Sonic or Krystal Burger;))

Have a great vacation - it's almost here!!!!!

Forgive me if it has been posted already but how have the new monorail time changes affected people staying at the CR? If MK is closed but you want to go over to the Poly for a dole whip, how do you get back and forth? How about when there are extra hours at Epcot, what happens then? TIA

If I get the "Tower - Theme Park View", am I guaranteed a view of the MK? If I am spending that much I want to make sure that is what we get. I was really disappointed with our anniversary last year when our Courtyard view at the WL, wasn't really a Courtyard view. Thanks in advance!

I was told by a CM at the WL that the new hours were to revert back to the old hours this month, as soon as the necessary nighttime repairs are completed.

The monorail still runs one hour after park closing, but it doesn't run after EMH. Again, this is only supposed to be temporary, according to the CM whose DH is a monorail pilot.

skifast22 is correct, so don't worry, you'll definitely be on the MK side of the Tower which faces the MK, 7 Seas Lagoon, the GF and Poly (the opposite side of the Tower in my CR photo in my signature).

At the WL, a Courtyard View can be inner or outer. Inner is of the Courtyard of the WL which includes Bay Lake, the pool and the geyser. An Outer Courtyard View is of the VWL. They do mention this in the room view description when you book online. You would have to put the specific room location request in your reservation or ask when you check-in for either an inner or outer Courtyard View.

With the CR MK View, the only requests you might consider would be to be on a high floor (if you're not staying CL), being far from Check Mickey's (if the noise might bother you) or having an odd-numbered room so that your bed would face toward the MK.

We were just at EMH last night at Epcot. We left the park about 10:30pm (just had a late dinner). The monorail was already done for the evening, but they had busses.

I will admit, it was faster taking the bus than the monorail! No stop at the TTC. No waiting for second monorail. Crowded, but honestly much faster! So - don't sweat it folks. There was a long line, but they had a CM there. She called a bus - and voila!

So - it is all fine. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting your experience. And, if you're at MK for EMH, you can always walk back to the CR.

From yesterday's AllEars Newsletter:

Walt Disney World announced that it will add a new monorail train this fall with a peach-colored stripe (Monorail Peach). The addition will restore WDW's fleet to 12 trains for the first time since a July 2009 accident in which a monorail driver, Austin Wuennenberg, was killed. The new train, which was constructed with some parts from the trains involved in that accident as well as new parts, will begin testing during the next few weeks.

I'm 23 days out and haven't received my ME docs. I shouldn't receive anything else because I'm on a room only reservation. I got concerned because usually I receive the ME docs a good month & half prior to my trip, so I contacted my TA last night.

In the past when I have been on a package, I've gotten the ME documents before the other trip documents.

EXACTLY! The monorail rooms with CL are expensive, which is why I can't book unless I get a serious discount! Even in value season, WITH a 40% discount, it is steep for an average Jane like myself.
