They had the in room computers during my first stay in 2007. They were part of a test program for an online concierge service. When I went back in 2009, they were gone. I asked at the front desk, and the CM told me the CR has never had computers in the rooms. I tried to explain that they did for a little while, and even offered to show him the pics I had of it :rotfl: Another nearby CM then heard our conversation, and said the test program had ended, and apparently they decided to do away with online concierge.
I remember staying there in August 2006 just after the computers had been placed in every room and one of the Club Level Cast Members told me they were a test program and that they could be taken out at anytime.

Here now and typing on hubbys iPhone. I'll keep it brief. Having a great time! We r checking into cr cl mkv tomorrow and just rcvd email conf from Disney dest for a blv vp suite cl room. If they upgrade us to this room r u able to see mk? This is very exciting for our first time ever cr however, I also really wanted to see castle /hallowishes from room too. This is a one night only. Thanks

Based on what you said it sounds like they upgraded you to the VP Club Level Suite that with the Bay Lake View.

We got back this past Saturday and I have been sooo busy getting everything put back together after being gone that haven't had time to get on here and post a review.

Anyways, We LOVED our trip. The Contemporary was great -- the room was nice & clean, pretty roomy we thought. Mousekeeping was fine, towel animals only once but eh, not that big of a deal. We were in room 4243 which is almost directly above the main entrance. Great view of MK and not loud at all. We used the pool twice and the kids loved the fountain area and the pool & slide. All the CMs were very helpful and nice.

Overall, we would go back to the Contemporary. The location is something that CANNOT be beat!!

We just returned from an 8 night stay at BLT. We had an amazing trip, great family memories, plenty of laughs and picture perfect weather. However our room 7617 at BLT was best described in one word...... a disaster! Our room had extreme wear and tear. which i was quite surprised at considering BLT is not even 2 years old. I am not a picky person, we paid approximately 600 dollars a night we were not staying on points. I expect minor wear and tear in a hotel that has constant turnover, but what we had at BLT was completely unacceptable. I'm also not a complainer go back to any of my posts on the DIS and they are all positive. I love disney! but our room was miserable. Mousekeeping was non existence the whole week. Apparently they do not own dusters, the dust was disgusting. Mousekeeping never even cleaned the showers the entire length of our visit. Most pieces of furniture had major dents in it, major scratches on the flat panel tvs, stains on the carpet and the couch and the dust was out of control... a complete disgrace. I have stayed at pretty much every hotel on disney property. Yes we complained to the front desk and nothing was done for us except for on the 5th night of our stay they replaced the cushion on the couch. We go to disney typcially every 6 months to a year for the past 10 years. BLT in my opinion is life less with no Disney magic. It's just a big concrete building..sure you get a view of cinderella castle and space mountain but you can get that at the grand or the poly along with some disney magic. from now on we are sticking with the beach club.

also the air conditioner is on a sensor you have to be in the room 20 minutes before the a.c. would kick in . We were fortunate enough to have a maintenance man pass by in the hotel and teach our how to bypass that program on the a.c.

Maybe BLT is great but it's not for us. We had high hopes especially with all the positive reviews we read. Maybe what happened to us was a fluke. I truly hope so.

Here is a link of some of the damage in our room at Bay Lake Towers:
Stains on the Couch that were not replaced until day 5. We never sat on the couch:

That is bad. Glad you enjoyed the trip otherwise.

WOW, we are going "home" to BLT in 20 days so this is sad news. We have gone once when BLT was only a few months old so I am hoping that your room (I am sorry it was not so good for your stay :sad1:) is a fluke. I can image if this is the general wear and tear what my dues will be looking like over the next many years.
I will let you know when I return.

I hope as well that my stay was a fluke. I have more pictures of damage from the room I did not post all the pictures on my post. I was just seriously shocked that the hotel is so young but the damaged made it seem like it was very old. it's a shame because the pictures i saw of the accomodations look amazing. but it person it was just a mess. even the carpets in the hallways were worn, bugs in the stairwells. just not well maintained. very un disney

Thank you for sharing your experience, LMO429. In my book, you're allowed to complain and be disappointed even if you had complained in the past! Your experience is no less valid just because you've complained on the DIS before.

May I suggest you send a letter or e-mail with links to your Photobucket photos to:

Walt Disney World Guest Communications

Make sure that you mention that you did contact a CM (give their name) about your concerns while on-property, but only the cushion was replaced after 5 days.

I will say that in my experience, I did receive a reply to my e-mail and I was satisfied with the final disposition and have since returned to the resort I e-mailed Guest Relations about. It may take a few weeks, but they should contact you.

Consistency of housekeeping and general room maintenance seems to be a real issue with WDW Resorts. I have found that it varies greatly. Even within the same resort, one section of rooms or one floor within the resort can be much better maintained than another. I find this very frustrating.

In all my on-property stays, I have yet to find one resort where we ALWAYS have great housekeeping and our room is in great condition. Some rooms and housekeepers are great and some are horrible. I have also found that being on Club Level does not necessarily mean great service and a great room.

I wouldn't necessarily paint all of BLT with one brush. But, I do understand your reluctance to ever stay there again given your dissatisfaction with the upkeep and cleaning of your room. You paid a LOT of money to stay there and you feel you didn't get your money's worth and you should definitely let WDW Guest Relations know that.

Keep us posted.
