We are leaving late tomorrow night. I have clothes spread out everywhere. I am making snacks for the drive, and going over my lists about a 100 times.

Well, it's 11:30 and I now have clothes spread all over the bed (I always bring way too much!)

Me to but, I am always worried we won't have what we need.

Well, my girls are both teenagers now, so they pack for themselves, that way they have noone to complain to. I have four pair of park shorts, four pair of dressy shorts, and a ton of tops. Four pair of flip flops, a pair of sandals, deciding on the sneakers.

Robin:

:wave2:Bon Voyage! Did you get any sleep last night? It doesn't really matter since you'll be at WDW today! I am a little concerned that you may have packed too many flip flops:rolleyes1

Looks like you and Robin will be at the CR at the same time. Have you finished your packing yet and crossed everything off your list? Don't overdo it on the flip flops:sad2:

Robin & Sabrinadv1- have a GREAT time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

WDWKOOK- no such thing as too many flip flops!!! :lmao: Just wait till you hear my pack list next week :rolleyes1

We leave next Friday and I'll start packing next Monday! DH's summer casual clothes & my summer casual clothes have been packed in copy paper boxes since early this year just waiting to be put into a suitcase! DD has a drawer dedicated to the clothes she's wearing to WDW. I've sorted that drawer twice already!

We have always taken our own luggage to our rooms. If we arrive and our rooms are ready and a valet takes our luggage on a cart to our room, are we supposed to tip? If so, how much? We've just never done this before and I don't want to seem cheap & unappreciative!

Agreed no such thing as too many flip flops :snooty:. We are very excited. This our first time in a deluxe and, we have a MK view on top of that. I know it's going to be crowded and hot but, we are looking forward to spending alot of time at the resort and doing other things other than the parks. Sorry we don't have a Home Depot around so no lime green mickeys.

When it comes to packing my family and I don't like to pack to much items because we always purchase a lot of new clothes while on vacation, so this way we will have a lot more room in our luggage. Now when we drive down like we will this August we might be able to pack a few more things compared to the times when we fly down, because of the weight limit with the airlines. So at least when we drive we don't have to worry about limits and etc.

Hey everyone. We are staying at the Contemporary from 8/3/10 - 8/13/10. It is our kids' first visit to Disney and I've already made most of my ADRs. I just had a question about eating at the CR. We already have dinner reservations at the California Grill and breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's. Do I need to make lunch reservations for those times when we come back to the hotel for a break or to use the pool? What would you suggest for lunch at the CR for a family where my son has peanut/tree nut/sesame allergies? We are usually light lunch eaters on vacation with some snacks thrown in as needed between breakfast and dinnner.

Thanks,

ClearScreen

As for your son's nut allergies, Disney is the best at making accommodations to fit everyone's needs. From what some people have posted, WDW is the only place they feel safe eating in a restaurant setting, so you should have no problem finding things for your son. As OP said, you might want to add a note to your ADRs, but be sure to remind your server as well. At most TS restaurants, the chef will come out and talk to you and your son. At buffets, the chef will either go to the buffet with you or prepare a separate meal for your son. At CS meals, tell the person taking your order and they will either notify the chef/manager or give you the ingredients list for their menu. You may want to check out the disABILITIES board for more information or to see what other people have experienced. I hope you have a wonderful trip!:goodvibes

Exactly! Flip flops are the perfect packing shoe- you can fit dozens of them in virtually no space and with almost no weight!

I don't lime green mickey head either. But we get in next Friday, also in the tower on the MK side, so if you see me (tall blonde with a hot pink backpack) and a little blonde boy racing 20 steps ahead of me, say hi!

We will be gone by then :sad1:. We check in in the morning and leave next Wed. If anyone sees a mother shaking her head at her husband and three boys that's me :rolleyes1. I am totally out numbered.

Why did you have to pack DH in a copy paper box:scared1:. He's going to need a lot of ironing...

(Thanks for the laugh, Whitney:rotfl2:).

Not when your suitcase is already full of Birkenstocks:snooty:

I just did the online check-in, but it never gave me a place to write in requests. I was wanting to request a bed rail for my DS2 and I was wanting to request a room on a higher floor as we booked TPV. What should I do now?
