I have never done the online check in thing, but seeing as it may be busy (march break) I was thinking of trying it.:confused3

Any experiences good/bad?

I did online checkin last year at the Poly and I loved it! There was a long line of people getting off of ME in the normal checkin line and there was just me and my family in the online checkin line. Everything was prepared and even our room requests (which I called in) and our celebration buttons (which were added on the online checkin) were ready. It was so quick we barely stopped rolling our luggage from the bus to our room :)

Do they provide towels at the BLT and/or Contemporary pools? I'm working on our packing list for our first family trip to WDW, staying at BLT! TIA!

Resorts Win High Ratings

Disney resorts have ranked highly in both a comparison of all lodgings and a ranking of desired timeshares.

AAA has released their 2010 Four Diamond lodgings list, and six Disney resorts have made the list. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is on the list for 21 years and Disney's Yacht Club Resorts has been listed for 19 years. Other repeaters on the list are Disney's Beach Club Resort (7 years) and Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort (3 years each). Disney's BoardWalk Inn is on the list for the first time. Over 60,000 hotels, motels and resorts are evaluated annually by the American Automobile Association.

That's great news to find out.

I am so excited to say that just last night I booked a Tower MK View for 10/6-10/12. This will be our first time staying at CR, but we are in no ways a stranger here. Every trip we come here to eat, rent pontoon boats, shop, and just look around. This is my DH and both of my DDs all time favorite resort and have been wanting to stay here for I don't know how long. So last night DH looked over at me and said, "hey why don't you go on Disney's website and pick out a few resorts that you would like to stay in, and we will book it for October." :cool1: Since I got to pick the resorts, he wanted to have final say so between CR, AKL (another resort that we really want to try out), and BW Deluxe view....CR hands down won out. The best part is we are going to keep this trip a secret from the girls, I can't wait to see the look on their faces as we pull up to CR :woohoo:

Thanks - I think I will give it a try...

Can't wait to try out the splash area since it was under construction last year.

Congratulations on booking your vacation:thumbsup2 Were you able to use a pin code discount for that time of the year?

I don't know how you can keep it a secret! I enjoy planning and talking about WDW so much with my DD (and DH when she's around) that I could never keep it a secret. For us, the anticipation/planning is half the fun.

I know you'll have a great trip and don't forget to post your CR/TR when you get back:)

I hope you all have a great time staying there and I am sure your girls will be very excited when they find out.

If you stay in BLT, can you use the Contempory's regular pool?
Also, is the BLT or the regular pool better? I'm thinking of fun factor, the slide, and even the ambience and view.

Thanks!

Yes anyone staying at Bay Lake Tower can use the Contemporary pool if they want to.

Now I am not sure if the Bay Lake Tower pool is better since my family and I have not stayed there, so hopefully someone else will be able to answer that.

We didn't use CR's pool on our last visit, but I can tell you we really enjoyed the BLT pool. It was so hot -- we swam every single day, sometimes twice a day. The 3 kids in our group (and the adults, too) thought the Mickey slide was fast and fun, and we liked that there is a zero-entry side of the pool. It was deep enough for adults in the center, too -- that's something we feel is missing at some of the other resort pools (not sure how deep CR's pool goes; it's been a while since we used it).

There were games by the pool every afternoon (kids loved them), and you can refill your mug at the bar there.

Also, it was never overly crowded, and we really appreciated that!

Unfortunately no pin code, however, we came into some extra money so DH thought why not spend it in our Happy Place :goodvibes. I didn't think we were going to be going back (after our March trip) until May 2011, my sneaky little DH had other plans of his own....gotta love the man

As for not telling the girls, oh yes, I know it will be hard, but I am determined to keep this a secret. The look on their faces will be so priceless, DH and I will just have to talk about Disney in code :rotfl:. Seven months isn't too long to keep my mouth shut is it????:rolleyes1
