Thank you!! :woohoo:I really hope it's true. We leave tomorrow and would LOVE to be able to check bags since we have a late return flight. Always hated dragging the bags through MCO to SW.

Canadian Guy has a new thread that SW has expanded RAC to all WDW resorts!!! :thumbsup2

Enjoy!:cool1:

Well, I'm still trying to price out next year's vacation...I didn't realize there was such a big difference in price between the standard view and garden view out in the wing! I've seen many pics on the CR photo thread of the garden view, but I couldn't seem to find any of the standard view. Are they all parking lot views, or are some just trees and such? Can anyone confirm how bad the parking lot view is, or have any pictures? Are the cars somewhat concealed by vegetation?

I asked the same question a while ago and "jcb" provided me with wonderful pictures and info. I haven't linked a post before so hoping this works andyou can see the answers I was given:

We always have a rental car and still use RAC. You do not need to use ME to check your bags with RAC.
Well I also forgot to mention that after visiting WDW during the month of December we also go to Clearwater Beach, which is one of the major reasons we rent a car and don't use Magical Express.

I agree with CRRF4L, I'll bet you a Dole Whip something will definitely open up between now and 45 days prior to arrival.
Good luck and keep us posted:surfweb:

:lmao: I love this "bet you a DoleWhip!" :rotfl2: Don't know why it struck me so funny, I guess I just love to hear WDW jargon that no one else loves and appreciates like I do (everyone I know around here thinks I spend way too much time planning my trips! :rolleyes1 )

Here is a link to photos posted by WUVmyDISNEY of their GW standard view room - pretty nice, huh? Keep checking for availability:)

oooh, not a bad photo...I can handle that...thanks! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link, I'm going to have my TA keep checking availability for me :)

Can anyone confirm how bad the parking lot view is, or have any pictures? Are the cars somewhat concealed by vegetation? If I book the standard view, we could spend our whole vacation at the CR, but if I want to spend the extra for the garden view, we'd have to do the split with the Dolphin...I know my DD wants to stay at the CR so bad, but I'm trying to keep our next vacation on a budget...what would you do? We do spend a lot of time in our room, so view is somewhat important. Our stay at the Poly two visits ago we had a room view of nothing but trees, but at least it wasn't unpleasant...I could handle standard view if our patio wasn't on top of the cars???? :confused3

I am sure something will open up by then. Chances are there maybe a discount code for that time and the GV might wind up being cheaper. Alot of times the SV is not part of the discounts. I think that if I were staying in the GW I would want a SV anyway. Most of them are closer to the Tower and they have views of the monorail.

Here's a report that RAC for SW has begun at the CR/BLT:

Here is an update Re. SW RAC (Resort Airline Check-in) from the OP (CanadianGuy):

** Southwest Airlines Resort SELECT RESORTS Check-In Info - CORRECTED **
I received wrong information on this earlier today.

Here is the correct information that I was able to double verify today.

Here are the resorts I could 100% confirm as participating at this point in time.

Polynesian
Grand Floridian
Beach Club
Yacht Club
Pop Century
All Three All Stars

EDIT: Added Poly - Confirmed

So.. the Grand Floridian was supposedly just added yesterday.

That's the MOST ACCURATE information that I could gather today. There was a post from another member that indicated "ALL RESORTS" but I cannot verify that.

In fact, I called OKW to confirm they "ALL RESORTS" were included and I was informed that OKW was NOT YET participating.

Hope this helps, and again, APOLOGIES for the wrong info earlier.

Knox

Well I leave in 3 weeks I am ecstatic have never stayed right in Disney
It is me dh ds 10 and dd almost 7 :cool1:
We are staying at CR for 2 nights concierge MK view and BLT lake view for 3 nights
Is it a long wait for ME at the airport?
I can't pack sunscreen in my bag can I?
We are doing Epcot and MK I thought those 2 would be good for the ages of my kids. Now dh is saying maybe Hollywood studios bc they have more rides I have never been there.?
We got the dining plan with one sit down I have 2 sitdowns in Epcot Le Cellier and San Angel Inn Do you think 2 sit downs in one day might be too much?
We go on a Tuesday, CR said they are not sold out What would be a good room to request? preferably not above Chef Mickeys.
Any other last minute help for a rookie? :yay:
Did I mention I am excited? I think I am more excited than my kids. DD no longer likes Princess but I think they don't know what to expect. What about the food on concierge We arrive at CR at 1 PM.

Well if the noise over Chef Mickey's might be a problem for you then requesting a room over the Fantasia store would be a good idea. As for the food offerings on the Club Level floor, if you look at the 1st page I posted the menu of the 5:00 PM food offerings for each day.

We are now back at home, after spending the last week at the CR. :sad1:

The CR is amazing! We had the best experience there with the best hotel room ever!

We booked the Atrium Club, lake view and we were given a Tower Club, Magic Kingdom view. It was so incredible. Our room was handicap accessible, so it did not have a tub, but the bathroom and shower were massive and the balcony was amazing. I truly wanted to bring the balcony home with us! We spent so much time just sitting on the balcony (or standing and taking hundreds of pictures :) )

I'm exhausted now, after a long travel day home, but once my 629 pictures finish downloading and I've gotten some sleep, I'll be sure to post more information and throw in some pictures too.

629 photos, huh? You couldn't do that in the days w/o digitals. Can't wait to see some:hyper:, especially of your TC room.

Actually, there aren't that many of the room. Most of the pictures are of the view, and most of those are blurry, but I promise to sift through and post all the good ones.

Everytime I walked out on the balcony I went right back in to get the camera because the view was incredible.

There are snow flakes in the air here today...sigh.

I can't wait to see the pictures too Janet :thumbsup2
I got to the CR in 3 weeks we have Atrium MK view I think that is the 12th floor
Is tower the 14th floor?

There is no 13th floor is there?
Hope you had a great time It is tough coming home, but that means you had a good time.

You are going to love the view. It is amazing. The Tower Club is the 14th floor, and you are correct, there is no 13th floor, so your view will be as amazing as ours was.

It is what we first saw when entering our room. If I could have brought one thing home, it would have been the view.
