The Alaska Wonder-Land Adventure Cruise -August 4, 2014 -ROLL CALL!!

We ( Gina & Bruce ) are booking this cruise today !! Along with 7 other adults and 3 children.
We had booked this awhile back ,cancelled and booked a Med cruise. But decided the air was too pricey for flying to Barcelona !!
We are using DVC points and only have enough for an inside cabin. :( Not good for an Alaska cruise :worried:, but we'll be on deck 7 aft, so at least we can use the secret deck :)

I've read that Deck 4(?) is very good. It is closer to the water, and not near as crowded. (That's what I read). We plan on being on Deck 4 a lot. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

We are booked and ready to set sail for Alaskan Adventures! It will be myself, DH, and DS (18) along with my DS's best friend since 1st grade, also 18, and his Mom. We're celebrating the boys HS graduation :cheer2: and 18th birthdays :cool1:! It will be the 5th cruise for us, but the first for our friends. I haven't had a chance to read through the whole thread but a huge THANK YOU for putting such great info. and links in Post 1 :thumbsup2

Our flights and pre-cruise hotel are booked, now just have to decide on the excursions :scratchin My son is begging to go on the dog sled one. If anyone has any insight on that, we would be most appreciative.

Looking forward to chatting with you all - love the countdown too!! :dance3::dance3:

Does anyone know what time we will disembark on the return? Trying to figure out return flights and transportation to the airport on the 11th.

The itinerary says 8am. When we disembarked in Vancouver on my Alaska trip, it took _forever_ to get off the ship. I don't know if that's typical, but it was a hassle.

I am trying to find flights and I am worried that we may have issues if I pick an 11:00am flight home. We need to be back at work Tuesday. ><_

That's probably cutting it close.

Welcome to the DIS. :welcome::welcome:

Be sure to read the FAQs toward the top of the main Cruise page. It has lots of helpful info. Also, be sure ask lots of questions. We like to show off all of our knowledge and experience.

Be sure to get to 10 posts as soon as possible. That way you can get and send Private Messages (PM).

:welcome: to the cruise meet thread and to the DIS! There are quite a number of veteran DCL cruisers on this thread so feel free to ask questions. A couple of things that seem to be unique to Disney Cruises and can add to the overall experience are participating in the fish extender exchange and decorating one's door with magnets.

Wow, what a colorful welcome! :) thanks!

One question (to start anyways ;) I have: has anyone done any of the zip line excursions in Alaska? I noticed is one at each port, is there one that is better than the rest...I don't know how to decide!!

We haven't sailed on the Wonder or Magic in a few years...I miss that "secret" deck 7 aft!!! We'll probably join ya out there a time or two. :thumbsup2
