The Adventurosity Club

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to share......The Fleagles are planning to meet up with SuzD and family tomorrow at noon! Can you believe it? We're so excited! It will be the first of our disboard friends that we actually meet! Whooppee! :cool1: :cool1:

Well take pictures and share.....

Hugs to all of you.....

Amy

Amy,

I got your voicemail just a minute ago. We'll be there tomorrow at noon? Are you planning on having lunch or just a beverage/snack? We don't want to be snarfing down something tasty while you sit and watch. On the other hand, I don't want to nurse a Diet Coke while you all are chowing on Cinnabons. :)

I don't know if the baby will be coming or not...I hope so because she is absolutely ADORABLE! For those of you who are saying, "Baby? WHAT baby?" here is the story (and the reason we are able to meet the Fleagles tomorrow).

My sister and her husband adopted a baby two years ago last October. They were on the fence about adopting another baby and finally decided at Christmas that they definately wanted to. They put their paper work in last week and the agency started showing their profile to prospective birth mothers this week. On Thursday they got a call that they had a baby girl here in Norfolk. Of course it's just about a 7 hour drive for us so there was no way I was going to stay away from my new niece. Katie's school was cancelled yesterday (and the day before) plus they don't have school Monday so we just hopped in the car and drove down yesterday. I quickly PM'd Amy hoping that we'd be able to get together and...

the moon was in the 7th house, Jupiter aligned with Mars, peace will guide the planet... and we're having at GTG! Like Amy said, we'll take pictures and post some here so all can see. I'm so excited to finally meet the famous Fleagle family.

Funny story...I'd been talking about it quite a bit yesterday. I told Katie that we were going to meet up with a family from the Dis and that they had a daughter about her age, blah, blah, blah. I was drawing a blank on Amy & Eric's last name as was Jeff because they've been the Fleagles for so long. We were sitting at dinner tonight and it finally came to me. I shouted out, "Kidwell" and Katie looked stunned, started grinning and said, "Oh my gosh, the CMO family? Totally cool".

Okay, enough for now. I'm off to sleep in my comfy bed with my not-so-comfy pillow. See you tomorrow Fleagles!

Well, the Fleagles and SuzD had our DISmeet! They are so incredibly nice.....or course we already figured that out! ;)

These pictures aren't great.....I forgot to bring my camera so I had to use my phone......Suz took some though and I'm sure her's are better!

We all met at the mall in Chesapeake, Va which was just about 45 minutes from our house. Way too close not to go make a trip to see them! What fun.... Thanks Susan and family for fitting us into your schedule and letting us share such a special time for your family! Big hugs all around! :grouphug:

That's so great! :cool1:
Congrat's on the newest family member. :thumbsup2

Just thought I would let you all know that I now have an official phone book so when we are at Disney we will always have your #'s with us.
If we don't have your # and we meet I now have a place to put them. :cool1:

Hey you guys! I just looked at the date of the first post to the DISers for CMO thread and it was yesterday - Happy Anniversary everybody!

Fun to hear about the meet up for Fleagles and Suz's family. I am already super looking forward to December.

Just back from a week in Orlando - mostly conference but a couple of days of play and I can report that the new Kim Possible Adventures in WS are awesomely fun. I also did the Segway tour of WS and now I want one of my very own (a Segway, not WS!).

Happy Anniversary!!! :cool1: :cool1:
To all the memmbers who have been with this group for the last year..
Circusgirl love your pics..:thumbsup2

Sad news to report from the Kiger House today...my husband's dear Granny passed away yesterday morning. She had been ill for quite some time, and she went peacefully.

I've been very fortunate not to lose a loved one in my lifetime. This has been difficult for me to watch my husband go through this, as well as losing the closest thing I have had to a grandmother (both of mine passed when I was very young).

My own family has never been very close at all, and I was so lucky to be able to marry into such a wonderful one. She loved me from the day she met me, and I loved her just as much.

Thank you for listening to me...I felt I needed to let my Disney Family know as well. :grouphug:

So sorry for you and your husband's loss.......you will all be in my prayers. Your Grandmother sounds like she was a wonderful, warm and loving woman!

I know how tough it is..
Went through this myself when DH father passed in 2006. :sad1:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

It is really magical. I'm pretty much like this:
Honestly, I'm not trying to prove that I'm the biggest Disney dork ever, but I got a pin code for oodles off on a Disneyland hotel and park hopper, plus a $100 gift card, and I had a very unusual four days off in a row in my schedule for early February, so I couldn't resist! I've never even found availability for the DLR hotels when I've considered a trip, so I'm super excited. I had to know everything I could about DLR all of a sudden so I've been cramming on the Unofficial Guide, AllEars, WDWinfo and podcasts, and I've made Priority Seating reservations for Blue Bayou, Steakhouse 55 and Napa Rose (dinners), Carnation Cafe and Plaza Cafe (breakfasts) and will try to hit Cafe Orleans a couple of times. Their early entry thing is a little different than EMH, and will be at 7 am (eeek!) Saturday and Sunday while I'm there.

The WDW and DLR passes are totally separate. My park pass for DLR is a four day park hopper adult pass. Part of the discount package is that the park hopper is at a child's price. I'm going to look into upgrading to an annual pass because there are hotel, food and merchandise discount benefits for the AP that might pay for it easily. Then I could think about DLR for my birthday this year...;) ;)

I am especially excited about taking photos and doing a trip report...

Woo hoo!! You will love Disneyland. We just left California after 3 year there. We fell in love with Disneyland. We lived in LA the first year and we homeschooled. If you asked my kids why we homeschooled they would say we did it so we could go to Disneyland every week.:rotfl2:

Oh snap, they figured me out!!:thumbsup2
