On a sad note, my sweet kitty Emma finally succumbed to a long illness yesterday. She had hung in there with great spirits and tremendous strength but it was finally not fair to her to ask her to be here anymore. A friend and fellow vet helped me to send Emma on her way and it was totally gentle and peaceful. I'm just so sad that she's not here today.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty, Circusgirl.

On a rockin' note, my best friend got me a fantastically fun gig volunteering at the opening night of the Seattle Film Festival. A small group of us were each designated as a guide for one of the stars of the opening film "Battle in Seattle". Charlize Theron and her husband Stuart Townsend (he directed the film), Michelle Rodriguez from Lost (Cathie I SO wished you were here!), Andre Benjamin from OutKast and Martin Henderson were all here. Martin Henderson was my assignment. I got to pick him up at his hotel with a car and driver and escort him to the opening, walk the red carpet, hang out with the whole group at the parties before and after the film and attend the press conference after the screening. They were all fantastically nice and fun. Our extra special bonus celebrity was Eddie Vedder, who did some of the music for the film. It was definitely an evening to remember. The film is fantastic, based on the events around the protests over the WTO meeting here in Seattle in 1999, and of course it was special to see it here where the events took place.

Hey HMF, welcome back! I'm sooo glad you got to go! Great pic of you guys at Sea World--it looks so pretty there! I haven't been since I was little. We always remembered going into a show about sharks and then the screen lifted and we were in the shark tank...or maybe that was when we walked through? Is it still like that, if that made any sense?

Ok everyone.... the moment has arrived! The introduction of the mystery special guest who joined me and the group in our adventures around Epcot! Its Petite Pluto! Althought we all started calling him "Pint Size Pluto" because we couldn't rememeber exactly what it said on the card when he arrived. So anyway.....

Here is Pluto happy to be let out of the humid mailbox....

Here is Pluto riding the tram to Epcot.... he got to sit right near the CM that does the tram spiel and got to help as well.....

Here he is enjoying a ride on Soarin'... he even caught the golf ball in his mouth! What a good boy!

Next he went to help find Nemo at The Seas.....

Pluto barks.... "Everything is just swell here at Epcot....

Yay for Pluto!!! Looks like you guys had a good time! Pluto is a good pal to have around. So far, CMO Tigger, Miniature Mickey, Dinky Donald, and Petite/Pint Size Pluto have all made it to Disney World!!!

Sadly though.... our trip had to come to an end....
Pluto watches out the video as we land in Providence and is excited about getting started on his next adventure....

So there you have it folks..... my week summed up in a few pics.....

This one just says it all, sad to be leaving but hopeful too. It's a great shot, very intriguing. It makes Pluto come to life...not that he's not alive...um, you know what I mean. I just really like it. I'll be quiet now!

Ha! Minnie is probably having the time of her life seeing the world...well, the other "world" that is! Maybe she'll meet up with us at Disenyland at New Year's! She'll be quite the globetrotter by then! Go Minnie!

They must have changed it then.... it first started off with smaller aquariums of other nasty guys... eels, barracudas, etc.... then you went down a small hall and on a moving sidewalk that took you through the middle of the shark tank.
