The Adventurosity Club

Hey MadBrad - when did you go to the Aquarium? DH and I were there Saturday. How funny would that be if we missed each other???

Miniature Mickey has been found!!! :yay:

Mickey plans on hanging around for a few more days. He wants to get a chance to take a dip in the pool over the Memorial Day Weekend before he heads out to visit another family.

Yay! Miniature Mickey and your kids look like they had a good time!!

And you kinda did a "where's mickey" - he blends in perfectly with the Grumpy shirt!

:scared1: Cat you ARE starting to look a little GREEN !!! :scared1:

Yeah, I've been feeling funny all day...

My co-worker's neighbor got to stay in the Cinderella Suite!! I can't believe I actually know someone who knows someone that won such a great prize!!

I guess it was her bachelorette party, and they had a group of 5 or 6 girls. I don't know if it was randomly awarded at a park or if they entered a particular contest, but they got to stay in there for 2 nights!!

My co-worker told her neighbor about me planning my trip, and she's going to try to get pictures for me this weekend. I can't wait to see them!!

Lucky Ducks! party:

Oh - don't worry - I have plenty!

Seriously, I have to take it when I travel - including on the mega version of Mission:Space! :lmao:

I have improved - don't need it for RnR or Expedition Everest! But I can't do the big roller coasters at other parks, because of my affliction! Way more than you wanted to know! ;)

You better believe I'll have tons of it in 2024 as I go over the falls!

[Note to self...maybe it's time to do something else with the barrel...even my picture self is looking greenish!]

:rotfl: you certainly ARE GREEN!

Here is a picture of Mickey eagerly climbing out of the Sager's mailbox. He was so excited to have a new family to visit with.

Not only did Mickey arrive safe and sound, but look what else came along at about the same time. It's a postcard from tothesea sent from the great state of Oklahoma and one from Marshay sent while she was at WDW. Thank you both for taking the time to send those out.

Marshay - How did you know that Fantasmic is my favorite show at WDW?

MICKEY00003.jpg

Once Mickey was settled in, it took him no time to fit right in with two members of the Sager household. Here he is chatting with Minnie and of course Grumpy!

MICKEY00004.jpg

One day while he was visiting, Mickey made a surprise appearance at DS's Early Arts Spring Art Show. DS was so excited when Mickey showed up! He took Mickey around and showed him some of the art work that he had created.

I told Mickey about The Adventurosity Club and about the Virtual Road Trip we were taking together. After he saw BTM's and KigerKat's posts on Atlanta, he suggested that I pack up the family and take them on a short road trip of our own. I just couldn't leave Mickey in our house all alone, so I invited him to travel with us.

Here are a couple of pics of Mickey and the kids having a great time at the Georgia Aquarium.

your kids looked a little scared at some points! Are they "too old for Mickey" now? Maybe they didn't want anyone seeing them holding a paper cutout of Mickey Mouse

you know how kids are...

Super cool letter! Lou Mongello talks on the WDW Radio Podcast this week about meeting Justin at the press event.

Madbrad - Great adventures for Skinny Mickey!

On a sad note, my sweet kitty Emma finally succumbed to a long illness yesterday. She had hung in there with great spirits and tremendous strength but it was finally not fair to her to ask her to be here anymore. A friend and fellow vet helped me to send Emma on her way and it was totally gentle and peaceful. I'm just so sad that she's not here today.

On a rockin' note, my best friend got me a fantastically fun gig volunteering at the opening night of the Seattle Film Festival. A small group of us were each designated as a guide for one of the stars of the opening film "Battle in Seattle". Charlize Theron and her husband Stuart Townsend (he directed the film), Michelle Rodriguez from Lost (Cathie I SO wished you were here!), Andre Benjamin from OutKast and Martin Henderson were all here. Martin Henderson was my assignment. I got to pick him up at his hotel with a car and driver and escort him to the opening, walk the red carpet, hang out with the whole group at the parties before and after the film and attend the press conference after the screening. They were all fantastically nice and fun. Our extra special bonus celebrity was Eddie Vedder, who did some of the music for the film. It was definitely an evening to remember. The film is fantastic, based on the events around the protests over the WTO meeting here in Seattle in 1999, and of course it was special to see it here where the events took place.

First let me say how sorry I am about Emma. As a fellow animal lover, I know how hard that is. Hugs from me.

Second - wow - I can't believe you thought of me in regards to Michelle Rodriguez! You are such a thoughtful person. Thank you so much.

Third - thanks for letting us know about the podcast. I'm still living vicariously...

Cat

Thanks - I'm pretty sure it's part of my approved color palette! :thumbsup2

(You're funny, Cat!)

'Hope everyone is having a terrific weekend. (It has been pretty quiet on this thread and the "We Be Trippin'" one, too.)

Hello and Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you are all enjoying some well-deserved family fun time this weekend!
