To avoid missing Test Track due to it being closed through March 2nd we held off on Epcot until Wednesday which was hard to do because our traditional order is Magic Kingdom first, Epcot always second, and MGM third. Definitely mixed up this time.

The day before at the Universal Studios City Walk in the morning I left my mom by herself for ONE MINUTE and she signed us all up for a time share presentation because they offered her free breakfast and $70 cash… That being said we didn’t arrive at Epcot until close to 12:30.

I had been imagining what it would be like to be standing near the Epcot geosphere again for months, it’s a special place for me and really makes me feel like I’m back at Disney everytime. That being said the first ride we got on was none other than Spaceship Earth, a big time favorite of mine. There was no wait and we were able to walk right on. Upon exiting I was surprised that all the exhibits were gone and the place was boarded up.

Next we headed next door to Innoventions. I was anxious to get to the next ride so we all just kind of strolled through to the other side. After that it was on to Test Track finally, one of the main reasons I wanted to come back to Disney. Unfortunately for us there was a 45 minute wait so we went for some fast passes giving us another two hours to kill.

Next door I saw Mission Space, another ride I was dying to experience, and to my surprise there was only a 10 minute wait so we got right in line. When we went in to see the briefing movie (couldn’t believe Gary Sinise was in it) my mom kept telling me she wanted to no crew responsibilities and just wanted to be free to close her eyes, yeah she’s a big time chicken. After they said all four of us in the simulator would have a part to play she reluctantly agreed ::yes::. She had to be the commander! When we got in I was surprised that even I was getting dizzy just looking at the screen in there.

After that Rachel said she wanted to see Universe of Energy so we went to that because it was also nearby and waited about 10 minutes for the next show to start. Ellen was so hilarious it was a blast for all three of us. Mom and Rachel were hungry by then so I suggested going to the Land food court to have a late lunch. Mom and I went to the counter in the center and both got the chicken strips and fries and mom also got a corn on the cob. Rachel went to the one on the left and got the veggie lasagna. We got a table and enjoyed another good meal.

We knew we wanted to head for the Land boat ride after lunch but when we got in there the sign said wait time 50 minutes. As we ate our lunches the time steadily went down and by the time we were ready to get on about a half hour later the wait had gone down to a mere 15 minutes! We rode the boat and Rachel took pictures of the animals in the experimental areas.

Before we went into the Land I told my mom we had to go on Journey into Imagination right after lunch because I love that ride so much, so that’s where we went. No wait again so we just walked, I was very impressed with the total makeover that ride has received and Rachel loved it too. Especially the part where the skunk smell comes out she started laughing hysterically.

After we exited we went right next door to see our next 3D movie, Honey I Shrunk the Audience. The show was about to start in like less than a minute so we rushed in to catch it. I loved the show but my mom and Rachel hated the part with the snake and the mice running around the floor.

Finally it was time to hit Test Track. The line hadn’t gone down at all since earlier so I felt lucky to have that fast pass in hand. Even with the fast pass the wait was about 15 minutes. That ride was such a rush, especially seeing the car hit 68 mph! It got us all excited. After the ride we looked at the car they have on display and sat in some of them and I read the sticker prices to see how incredibly expensive they are.

Next it was on to the World Showcase :teeth:. We started with Mexico because it’s my favorite one. They were doing construction on the outside of the temple so it was covered with scaffolds and tarps but the inside was just as beautiful as I had remembered. Rachel immediately went over to a shop selling huge sombreros and started trying them on, she even put one on my head! Then her and my mom went over to the San Angel Inn because there was a band playing in the front with a small crowd gathered around.

I anxious to ride the Rio del Tiempo so I urged them in. No wait again and we got right on. I had almost forgotten how beautiful that ride is, truly amazing, especially the night time city scene at the end.

We exited the temple after that cause my mom had a craving for some tortilla chips from the San Angel Cantina nearby. My mom got some chips and salsa and a soda and I stole a few chips to feed the flock of birds standing around the seating area. Rachel and I had a great time feeding the birds, some of them even caught the chips in mid air!

Norway was our next stop, I could not wait to board the Maelstrom. My mom decided to sit this one out (again) and Rachel and I went in. Only a 5 minute wait and we boarded our Viking vessel. The ride was short but very sweet. We bypassed the movie at the end and met my mom at the exit, we walked around Norway a little longer and watched the dancers performing outside and looked in the bakery to see what they were serving.

After Norway we quickly walked through Japan and China and stopped at USA to see American Adventure, a show I had never seen before. The show was starting in 10 minutes so we walked in and listened to a chorus perform the star spangled banner extremely well while we waited. I heard this show was excellent and now I have to agree I was amazed by all the animatronics that were used.

After the show we kept walking through the other countries and my stopped us at Mongolia because she wanted to do some shopping. At this point we decided to break up for a little while because I wanted to ride the rides again before left (namely Test Track, Journey into Imagination, and Spaceship Earth). We decided to meet in front of Spaceship Earth at 7:15 and I grabbed Rachel’s hand and off we went!

First we walked on Imagination, then it was on to Test Track. The line was even longer now then it was earlier, 60 minute wait so we said no way to that :(. We then walked over to Spaceship Earth and rode it again. We still had about 15 minutes before our meeting time so we visited on of the shops in the pillars holding up the geosphere.

While we were in there I saw a little present that had Rachel’s name all over it. A little foam ball about the size of a golf ball, pink with mouse ears on it and a little crown, and on it was written “Disney Princess”. I bought it for Rachel and gave it to her, she was so touched she had tears in her eyes and she gave me a gigantic hug and a kiss :teeth:. Now I always call her my little Disney Princess.

We went to sit at the fountain in front of Spaceship Earth to wait but my mom never showed up. After she was 40 minutes late I got worried about her, either she was in the wrong place or something had happened to her and hopefully it was not the latter. After continuously searching the area I thought she may have thought we were meeting at Mission Space and Rachel and I went over there. She wasn’t there either so I went to see if the Test Track line had gotten shorter yet (worth a try right?). It was the same length but there was my mom sitting on a bench in front of the ride. Turns out she thought we were in that line…
It was pretty late, almost 8:30, so we left the park for the day and decided to grab some dinner. We decided to dine at Chili’s near our time share. I had a BBQ Ranch burger, mom had a mushroom and swiss burger, and Rachel had veggie quesadillas. Another awesome meal, the waiter that dropped half the dishes he was carrying also provided a dinner show .

I think I did to much with you guys..........thanks so much for your great day again.......sounds like you and your two ladies are tiring you out......thanks again
