(Where's Mr Quotations or whatever his unofficial title is?)

"Star Trek: First Contact"

You know what... that is his new title from now on!!!!!!!!!! I am LMAO over here!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hey!

How's this for a Horrific Disney Bus ride:scared1::lmao:

1195446011100.gif

That's just how they say "hello" in Kazakhstan.

I would never think you're nosy! Just curious and concerned. Thank you so much for asking- I never mind answering questions about my life in Central Asia!

Thanks for indulging my nosi....uh....curiosity! ;) Other than the the time I spent at college, in 44 years I have only lived in 3 houses. The one I grew up in (which my parents built, became pregnant with me during the building of, and brought me home to), then when Danny & I got married I moved a whopping 12 miles from that house, and less than a year later we moved about 4 more blocks away to the house that he and his first wife had built (he was finally able to buy out her portion) that we live in now and have for just over 20 years. And actually my time at college??? Well, it was a 10 month business college, just over an hour away from home, and I came home every weekend except one. I have never actually lived outside of this school district. So hearing about you raising a family on the other side of the world, in a completely different language and culture...well it would be like living on another planet to me

I'm glad to hear Mikki is doing better, but sorry that she still has her moments. Is she the one in the pictures at the recent dance or is that an older one? Sorry - I haven't gotten all your kids "figured out" on who is who. :rolleyes1

WHAT THE HE**?? I open my thread and see that it has gone AMUCK!!!! AMUCK I tell you! I see a fat dude sticking his hairy gut into some poor lady's face- I think I just threw up a little coffee in my mouth!! Probably because I'm laughing so hard. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

OK, I'm going to spend the next 2 hours before I have to go pick up my son at school and hit the freeway one last time, hanging out with ya'll. I would love to spend some of it uploading the next installment's photos too. Mary may take a spell, so I may post D ahead of her.

Now, I thought that I lived with the Disney Hater. I convinced him to go to Disney, but only for three days. :headache: At the end of the trip he said he would "prefer" not to go back. I told him that as long as my mom could continue to go with me he didn't have to. As soon as we got home he gave mom a big hug and said, "You have to live forever!" :lmao:

:lmao::lmao: That's funny!!

Mine would prefer never to have to go- but would love to see my haul my butt up some freezing mountain and dink around on a glacier- FAT CHANCE!! Even doing it to get him to go to Disney ain't worth that!

My mom was highly offended that I told her she couldn't go on the last trip. Been there and done that..... but someday, I'd like to go with her. Problem is we'd spend VERY little time in the parks. They don't plan, don't love the parks, and show up just in time to eat, then leave. Whatever.

Of course! I think I might have been locked out of the house if I didn't bring any back for her.

Good man!

I did, but I confess I wasn't going to...until Marlene text-shamed me into it. But the reason I wasn't going to is because we have a Cheesecake Factory cheesecake in the freezer in anticipation of an upcoming birthday, so they wouldn't have too long of a wait.

Apparently "ancient". But I don't know who that would describe.

And I have a confession to make as well. I'm not a huge cheesecake fan at all. One piece about every 6 months is enough.

And that's a very good reason to hesitate on the purchases. One primed for action in the freezer is good. But I can see your not wanting to disappoint. Did they know it was there?

I can't imgaine WHO you'd be talking about....;)

So sorry to hear Mikki is still struggling. Hope 2011 is an easier year for her!

I've heard that things get easier as time goes on. I do hope that 2011 is better for her too! She still has a lot of healing to do.

Thanks for the welcome back! We have the wireless plan through AT&T for the iPad so I should have access to the internet - it will just be a matter of time. Everyone pray for no snow or ice or January 22nd in Central PA please. I don't care if I can't get back home but I need to get to FL! :thumbsup2

With as much as you've already had, maybe it won't even be gone!!! How do you get rid of 2 feet of snow in a week? or even a month for that matter!? I know you're going to have such a fantastic time!! You've waited a long time for this trip!

Ladies - there is hope! My DH, formerly known as the semi-Disney hater, has been transformed! DH was okay with trips one, two and three but trip four DD and I took by ourselves because he was done with Disney for awhile. So, in May, we took a trip to Universal for a few days, a Bahamas cruise for a few days on Royal Caribbean and spent one park day and one fun day at Disney/Poly at the end because we had give a day get a day tickets. At the end of the trip, you know what he said - Disney was the best part.:cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo: So now we leave in 8 days for an 8 day trip for FD at POFQ and he is happy about it! Now don't get me wrong, he still doesn't want to obsess over every detail with me but I will take what I can get. So the moral of the story is take your Dh's on a crappy vacation and then they will appreciate the house of mouse!

Well, if I EVER get him back there again, at all, I will plan in tons of signature dining places, TONS of pool (and room time... ahem), and maybe some sea racer things. He does like water parks too, so maybe some of that. I think it's the parks themselves that he has a hard time with. The commercialism, materialism, and crowds are what he doesn't like, so if I keep the dump shop experiences to a minimum it might work. But not likely.

Ha, I spent ages practicing my handwriting when I was a kid, too! But my three little sisters are all lefties (I know, who knows where I came from), and their handwriting is horrible! They write like drunk ten-year-olds, or something.

Most of my kids have awful script as well. I wish they would still teach that, but I guess nice writing is for the dark ages. 3 sisters??! wow!! I ended up with 2 lefties of the 5.

And even the pattern on the WDW undies is pretty subtle, unless you're unaccustomed to seeing hidden Mickeys in everything!

I am- a deluge of HMs are coming up in the TR; but NONE from my undies. I may take my shirt off, but my pants stay on!!! :rotfl2:

We should start a support group, for spouses of Disney haters.

I love it!!! Actually, that's why I take ladies' trips now. My DISFriends "get it". But my ultimate heart's desire is to take my kids again. That's why I want to work this year some. To earn enough to get my kids there again.

And here I thought it was tough to be accredited as a hipster once you've hit 30 at all! Not that I would know: According to my DH, I have always been "An Old." Which apparently is some sort of hipster jargon.

1156455750_6XfSp-L.jpg

I guess I need to google "hipster".

Your shrimp chow mein looked delicious! Well, except for the, uh...shrimp! :rolleyes1 I enjoyed a similar meal twice while at Pop last weekend. :thumbsup2

It actually was very tasty! But WAY too much! It killed me to throw half away! Soooo... did I miss something?? Are you doing a TR for that?? I've not been on our PTR for a few days, but last I checked I didn't see anything. If you have, please forgive me!! I'm just not as consistent with everything going on right now!

Liesa- Good luck with the move!!!! We'll miss you around here! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

So what you are saying is... if your DH (or DW) doesn't take to Disney just keep beating it into them until they submit? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yeah, I saw how much you all missed me- throwing up nekkid men pictures!! :lmao: Well, there's only so much money to do that. I'd rather spend my money on a trip without him, so I don't have to listen to the whining the whole time.

YES! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

But before I sound like a mean wife, he actually talked me into booking our trip next week so he is definitely a changed man - LOL!

Resistance is futile!
(Where's Mr Quotations or whatever his unofficial title is?)

You are kidding! He actually suggested it!? WOW!! And then had to "talk you into it"?? I'd fall over and probably break my neck if mine ever did that!! Here I am trying to train for a half (or part of one) just to have an excuse to go back!

EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!

That's just how they say "hello" in Kazakhstan.

Well, instead of bare skin contaminating you, it's a thick cloud of BO. Other than that pretty much the same gross-factor.

WOW!! I can't even imagine living in so few- that sounds like heaven to me right now- just to be in one place for more than a few years. While growing up I lived in a total of 10 or so (my dad was military until I was 4 or so). After we were married, I moved back and forth from Asia to the US 3 times, and now again.

Now here's something interesting!!!!! NEWSFLASH!!

Mike was offered a job last night in Vista, California. He has an interview up here in Oregon, but an hour and a half from Salem (one way!), too. soooooooooooooo, this whole move we're doing now, is certainly tenuous! If you hear I have been checked into the nuthouse, you'll know why.

I thought she was talking about Mark.... but that title can fit for you too Glen since you did win the contest and all!!:lmao:

OH MY!!!! :scared1:

Now that the two have met, and apparently share the same taste in shirts, they can probably just co-share the Movie Quoter title.

Scary, wasn't it?!

Glad to see that is not a Disney Bus.:surfweb: Beside gentlemen at Disney generally leave their shirts on, to soak up the sweat of course! :lmao:

First off a VERY warm and hearty :welcome:!!! So glad you've joined in the party here with us!! I do hope you'll stop by often and add to the fun!

I think you're right- I've never seen a shirtless guy on a bus; some almost shirtless women, but never a shirtless guy. Of course, I'd never get on a bus without one- everywhere all bets are off. (j/k, of course! ;))

I'm mesmerized! I can't stop watching. :rotfl:

I think I sat and watched for too long as well. I'm scarred for life.

I'm hoping that everything works out. It's good that some options are opening up at least.

Yeah, but I really , really don't want to move to California- although the opportunity of getting an AP for DLR sounds mighty nice!:thumbsup2

I've apparently missed a lot and I really don't know where to begin......

Shirtless women and undercooked shrimp, OH MY!!!:scared1:

Can this trip report get any better? I daresay it might.....:goodvibes

That video, it now haunts my waking and sleeping moments, EW EW EW!

Actually, I just meant the shrimp didn't look tasty because I hate shrimp, but my comment makes sense because of the issues you had with it being cooked all the way. :rotfl:

No worries! It was my half-marathon trip. ;)

Yes, I think it's actually going to get even better than this!!!

I had so wanted to spend the morning uploading photos, but realized they are all on the other laptop and that is cruising down the freeway in trailer right now. So, the next update will have to wait- where I will hit my first park and have many amazing adventures!!!

I have turned my kids off of shrimp forever by serving is (accidentally) raw about a year ago. They swear they will never eat it again. That's what made it so funny- this issue has come up before on my threads. :lmao: It's like the curse of the writhing shrimpies.

Found it!

Dang! You people can talk! I've been gone for a few days and you've jumped from page like 156-170 something already! Geesh! :goodvibes

Camille your story reminds me of an embarassing moment as a kid !!!!In the local park which was quite a large place , they had scaffolding up for a HUGE reenactment of the towns history and being the Tom Boy that I was I had to climb it !!:scared1:Well my skirt got caught on the scaffolding and I dangled there with undies exposed to all :lmao:Of course the boys I was playong with did nothing to help me just called out for everyone to come see my "Knickers" I was mortified !!!:rotfl2:

 Awwwww, poor Rosie. Those horrible boys, I hope you gave them a good pounding when you got down.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

2 Stories, since we're doing those:

1) I was at a 50's dance at univeristy in my freshman year, and was dancing a jitterbug style dance. My partner did the move where he swung my under his legs and scooped my back up; unfortunately my poodle skirt stayed under his shoe, and I came up with a beautiful pair of undies showing for everyone's observation.

2) I was working in a Dillards department store in Flagstaff (this time my senior year) and came out of the ladies' room...... Suddenly, I hear someone hissing at me from behind, saying, "Hey, HEY!! You're skirt!!! YOU'RE SKIRT!!" It was a fabulous looking guy who worked on the freight dock who happened to be the first to see my butt completely exposed because my skirt was 100% tucked up inside my hose. I dashed inside one of those round display racks full of kids' pJ's to "fix" myself up, but unfortunately there was little to be done to fix my damaged ego!!! I wanted to crawl home and die!

Oh my gosh! I bet you did! But you have to admit when we look back on these moments they can be pretty funny. Although I do have one that I still turn beet red over, and no I won't share it here, I'll have to tell you about it when we talk on the phone some time.

Whenever snow is imminent here in the East, everyone always rushes out to the grocery store for milk, bread and eggs. Apparently, we have a belief that you absolutely cannot survive a snowstorm without french toast. :confused3

:rotfl: That is a good one!!

Our pipes exploded too, but it sure wasn't water coming out. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

And there she went.
:sad2:

:lmao:

Thaaaaat's our Liesa!! :rotfl2:

Oh, thats good stuff! :rotfl2:
Thank you Rebecca. Thank God it didn't turn out worse, otherwise I probably wouldn't be laughing about it today! :rotfl:

Well, the Ducks gave it a good ol' try, but sadly went down in flames! I guess Camille gets the victory in this one. :goodvibes

Nope, no victory....we lost too. :guilty:

Wish I could comment more, but I have to jump into the shower and get ready, I can assure you I won't be going out with undies in my paint leg due to flash like undressing and re-dressing. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

You know what... that is his new title from now on!!!!!!!!!! I am LMAO over here!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Mr. Quotations.......Mr. Quotations.......Mr. Quotations.....QUOTE!

Hey, I never saw anyone recording that!!! (oops.........) :rolleyes1
Nah, he was just giving the male version of the Liesa greeting!!! :rotfl2:

Hopefully you weren't thinking that you checking into a nuthouse would be a newsflash to any of us!!! :lmao:

Regardless of where it leads you, having choices is never a bad thing! I know you will find the perfect fit! :thumbsup2

A man without a shirt??? :scared1:

Hey, if we can survive all of your "feet" pictures...... :rolleyes1
