Oh, Liesa...how awful for all of you. For so many to get sick on this leg of your trip. I'm sure there are times you wanted to pull your hair out. Luckily, you wer ewell to take are of all of them. And you still were able to take pics--you truly amaze me.

OMG. I think it's safe to say we can dub this portion of your trip pukefest. Not fun.

Oh no, I can not imagine how awful that was for everyone. It is never good being sick but having to be on the move just makes it worse. I hope things got better soon.

I don't really know what to say about the sick travelers .....except I guess one big ughhhhhh:headache: although as tarzanskat mentioned pukefest....that is quite appropriate  So sorry and hope it doesn't continue much longer.
Excited for your meet with Magdalane and her sister :goodvibes

Tracy

Oh my...so sorry to hear about your pukefest on the train. That happened to Nicholas once while we were flying home from Orlando late at night. Of course, he has the window seat and every time he had to get up he had to climb over a 6'5" basketball player. And one of the bathrooms was inoperable. It was not fun! I hope things improve soon!

And I'm VERY sad on so many levels!! I REALLY need to call you!!! I can guarantee you free food and a comfy bed to sleep in (I can even promise a clean towel and toilet). So really maybe you should look for a ding??

Please re-consider!

We have talked...but I just wanted to post too...

Unfortunately there are NO flights for Southwest going to Portland for that date at all? Not sure if they are just already booked? Or what?

The cheapest flights is over $500. :(

Could we possibly shoot for the Spring???

Oh no! Kids puking every 10 minutes?? I'd say you were holding it together remarkably well in a strange country, stressful train catching situation and sick babies on top of it that you managed to get a picture of the pastries! You are the epitome of Disboard Grace Under Pressure! Seriously, though - things must start picking up soon - this has to be the most insanely stressful start to a vacation ever!

Oh my, what a terrible trip! One person puking is bad enough, but three (or was it four)???

Thinking of happier things -- an English Country Dancing Ball sounds like the COOLEST THING EVER!!!!!!!:dance3:

Oh, I am so sorry about the pukefest!! :guilty: That is no fun at home, let alone while traveling...

Unfortunately, that weekend is no good for us to come up to Portland... I am taking care of my friend's little boys while she is out of the state... :sad1:

Good Evening All,

As per usual, our Sunday was full of good stuff. Just wanted to post a quick hello, and a promise to be back tomorrow to post replies and proper chit-chat.

I also finished that apron I was working on, so will have pictures of it too.

Nighty night!!

 Your experience getting out of Crap-a-stan has been.....well, completely crazy! Your poor family.

It looks like we may have to plan our meet for another time Liesa. :guilty: We should talk. :)

Hi Liesa, I am still feeling sorry for Michaela and Zach! I hope all of you will have a chance one day to revisit Germany to bring back happier memories! :goodvibes

I would have never guessed Riverside. The "last resort" clue was absolutely unvisible to me. Of course I could claim it to the fact that English is my second language, so it is much more difficult to pick up on things like that! ;) I was researching wether there was any attraction at WDW linked to Freud - and then I came up with the idea that the clue might me "DARE" and came up with the Tower of Terror, but could not find any sign there either... :confused3

So when will we get the "E" for guessing???

Magdalene, I took home ec and she tried to teach us sewing but some how I just never picked it up. :rotfl: Now DH on the otherhand has made sock bears and any time the girls need something sewn I say, "Go to Daddy."

How funny! :rotfl: My father had a phase when he did a lot of knitting when I was a kid... One thing I am really glad that I learned from my parents is how to mend things. Today nobody really mends socks anymore since you can buy them so cheaply, but it is still a very valuable skill if you want to mend something with an emotional value.

I wouldn't wish what you guys went through on my worst enemy. What a horrible experience, although it makes for some interesting TR reading. :lmao:

Once again those pastries look so guuuuud! (as you would put it!)

Good idea using 'those' type of bags.... I feel so bad for the kids. (well I guess I should of felt bad, since this did all go down- or was it all go out?- over a 1 1/2 months ago)

Great pics from the train! :goodvibes

Oh my, what a ride. I'm sure family loved having a DIS documentarian along too. Glad you found the train at least, I know you were a little worried about that.

:goodvibes I can remember watching my Grandma darning socks! Abby wants a sewing machine to make stuff. She made a tied blanket for her sister's birthday. It's really cute and didn't take her long at all, I'd say maybe 3-4 hours.

Ok, All you West Coasters, and any assorted others who want to come enjoy the company of the Oregonians and Washingtonians:

I need your feedback...

Does November 5-7 work for you to come to Portland and hang out?? I have 2 beds I can offer, we have a great Mexican place with pretty tasty margs down the street, lots of couch space to yack (NOVomit) on, and take out pizza possibilities.

Whatcha think???

Cherie? Cynthia? Camille, Mary does this work for you?? Toni/Terry? Tammie??

I'm a new "dis-er" but a fellow Northwestern-er! :) I'd love to meet up! It be great to meet the people behind the stories! :)

Ok. Pukefest just sounds awful, and I feel terrible for you guys having to endure this experience. That being said...

No more worries- and that was a good thing, because it was now time for another victim to play, “Let’s Take a Ride on the Ralphing Railroad”.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I'm just picturing this as a TV show double-feature with Thomas the Tank Engine.
