Hey, while I have you "on the line", I have one picture I took specifically for you in my next update that will go up tomorrow!! Nothing spectacular, but I tried to get at least one "I'm thinking of you" photo for each of my DISFriends!!

I have something for you also G.B......I found this and thought of you and Glenn. :goodvibes Let's see if you figure it out quicker than I did.

StarWarsJabbaHutLeia.gif

Easy! I'm working from home today so my work laptop is remoted into the call center and my personal PC is dialed into the DIS.

So jealous! When I worked in a call center we could NOT work from home because the company didn't have the technology for the phones to reach us. :sad2:

With shopping, socializing, and animation drawing under my star-studded belt, it was time to set my sights on something bigger- far more fame-inducing- more GRAND!! I decided to start out with trying my hand at developing other abilities and sought out the extreme talents of a good friend of mine. Earlier I had called her, and she told me to first start off by seeing if I could greet my audience without a shirt on. I found THAT to be quite easy and was ready for my next lesson. She asked me to come into her working studio which was decorated in the best that “props” could come up with. I mean look at this set!!!

LiesaDay1133.jpg

She had her stage hands lead me (and some other amateurs) into the studio which looked something like this:

LiesaDay1134.jpg

and then she gave us a real first-rate lesson in how to sing clearly and with very believable emotion. She actually had me convinced that she loved her counterpart and wanted to be part of his world.

LiesaDay1143.jpg

Well, I can tell you… I wanted to be part of HER world of fame and fortune by being a Broadway Diva!!! I discovered that given a lot of talent, a great set of stage hands, a lot less clothing, and some really awesome red hair, you can really come up with a smash hit! (I had the red hair, so shouldn’t be that far from you seeing me onstage very soon!)

LiesaDay1142.jpg

She called her show:

LiesaDay1138.jpg

I’m still trying to decide what to call mine- I’ll let you know when it hits theaters near you.

After my incredible lesson with Ariel, it was time to try something that has proven to be even more lucrative than the stage; it was time to see if I could really cement a name for myself on the silver screen!! First though, I had to see what having one’s name “cemented” was all about. Would it really be worth all my time and effort if I didn’t like the whole cement thing??

LiesaDay1147.jpg

How’d I do?? Yeah, I thought I was ready too, so I ventured on into the “place where stars are made everyday”.

When I first walked in, they could hardly contain themselves with enthusiasm. Apparently, The Couture on Sunset had already contacted them that I’d be coming, and to watch out for me. In addition to telling them all about my innate and extraordinary talent, they sent my clothing purchases that I gotten earlier while learning how to shop like the rich and famous. Remember that? Well, here’s what I had selected. I suspected I might need something soon for my acceptance of a VERY important, and completely useless, award that I might receive for my talents.

LiesaDay1148.jpg

Want a closer look? I think it really has what it takes to make the “best dressed” list for my upcoming red carpet walk.

LiesaDay1149.jpg

Finally, it was time to really put my talents to the test. Would this be my lucky break into the world of celebrity-status in

LiesaDay1152.jpg

?

The first hoop a budding actress must jump through is a screen test. The director put me under a huge rack of lights. These made me think of my very good friend Great Biscuit (isn’t that the most awesome stage name ever??) who perhaps might be solely responsible for helping me pass my screen test with flying colors. Well, they weren’t really flying. As you can see they were very, very stationary. Seeing his amazing work at other events in the ecclesiastical workplace, this particular stage crew knew just how to set up a perfect bank of lights to show off my good side.

LiesaDay1154.jpg

Next, an actress-in-the-making must test with a “chorus line”. Here again my burlesque skills were put to the test with this fabulous- looking bunch of ladies. There I am at the very tippy top… just where I wanted to be!

LiesaDay1156.jpg

(Remind me, I need to speak with my photographer about making sure to focus that camera!! I may need to fire him. )

In addition to a bit of exotic dancing a la 30’s style, and passing a preliminary screen test, I needed to learn a bit of dancing. And who else would be a better instructor than Gene Kelly himself?? Was he not the best darned dancer that ever tippy-tapped his way into many a pining lady’s heart? He made sure I understood that randomly swinging around light poles with umbrellas would surely bring me success in my endeavor to become a famous movie star.

LiesaDay1157.jpg

Soon it was time for a break, so our little troupe of actors stopped at the world famous Patrick J. Ryan’s place for a quick drink.

LiesaDay1158.jpg

Oh, you’ve never heard of it?? Well, I assure you, it does exist, but perhaps it’s an understated kind of place only we REALLY famous types know about.

Anyway, with chorus line skills and my dancing moves all honed up, it was time to put it all together in an epic production found only “over the rainbow”. Let’s set the scene, shall we??

LiesaDay1161.jpg

LiesaDay1169.jpg

LiesaDay1162.jpg

The story takes place in a really quaint little village where Little People sing and dance with lollipops and horses that change colors. Ridiculous really, but for some reason the script and storyline really work. I was really getting into my part when all of a sudden this haggy creature came out of nowhere!!! Man this chick was profusely ranting some nonsense about her plastic surgeon botching her nose job and suing her skin care company for gross negligence. Personally, I think she was insane (or needed to check into the Betty Ford Center) and needed to find another line of work. At one point she became so “animated” that she threatened my dog----and I don’t’ even KNOW her!!

LiesaDay1168.jpg

LiesaDay1165.jpg

Well, in the end I found out that there was only one way to true stardom, and that was to find some really great friends and follow the yellow brick road. Of course, some really sparkly shoes can’t hurt!!

LiesaDay1170.jpg

Shhh… don’t’ tell anyone, but when I saw those shoes at the American History Museum just before my trip, I borrowed them, and look what kind of success they brought me!

In the end, the directors and producers found me to be of the highest caliber of talent and immediately signed me onto a gigantic contract worth zillions. This shmuck tried to steal all my glory in his pathetic little spiel by telling everyone to give him a hand, but I put the kibosh on that right away.

LiesaDay1171.jpg

Imagine…. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I took a large bow as I exited the theater (in the same style I had already practiced earlier in the day):

LiesaDay1172.jpg

And headed off into STARDOM with the Paparazzi close behind.

LiesaDay1173.jpg

So Ariel is copying the Liesa-greeting?? (Have you patented that yet???)

Nice update Ms. Glitz and Glamor, but who needs fancy shoes when your feet are well coiffed and toes perfectly painted!!! At least now we know the Liesa greeting was actually influenced by your desire to go Under the Sea!!! ;)

Now off in your Limo to your next Premiere. And time to select from that long list of leading men who want to become famous simply appearing in your next picture!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, its true. Pole dancing IS one way to make it in Hollywoodland. Just keep your shirt on, okay :lmao:

Judging by prior posts, I’d say you also have the clothing requirement down as well.

Oh, so true. But those shoes sure seemed to "take Dorothy a long way". I suppose you are thinking that with my feet, I could enter a career in the Ripley's Believe it or Not. :lmao:

so you think I'm off to a limo next, huh?? By the way, you must be talking about Sonny Bono?

How can you do THAT with a shirt on??

Ooooooooooooooooooooo……..Nice!

Yeah, I guess I do. WDW makes getting that skill down easy- being about 4 million degrees there most of the time.

I thought you might like that rack.

I may have a few skills down, but Rosie takes the cake on pole dancing!

Like it, you do.... :yoda:

Here is the pose that Gene Kelly copied from

100_1183.jpg

And here are Liessa's RED SHOES!!!!

100_0820.jpg

:lmao: That still makes me LOL!

I KNEW you'd have that picture of the sparkly, red shoes! Thanks, Rosie!!

Maria....I just met a girl named Maria...I mean Liesa....

:rotfl:

GREAT update!

I WAS 16, going on 17.... about a thousand years aaaaagooooo.....

Nice update Ms. Glitz and Glam. During your acceptance speech, don't forget to thank all the little people.

NO way! I'm taking all my DISFriends with me. (I really should play the Lottery more.)
