Congrats on Davey. I hope it will help your dear Mikki. My dd (5) would love a dog, but I am very allergic to them. Her solution is that her and my dh can have their own house with a dog and I can live in a house next door without a dog and she will come visit me when she wants to see me. :rotfl:

To be very honest, Magdalene, I am too- ever since that run in with Daisy. Do you know my hand NEVER healed completely from that?? It is still quite sore in the thick muscle below my thumb, and to pull the thumb backwards.

And then last night i took a pretty bad spill on my floor (that'll teach me from keeping it so clean!) and re-injured it a bit. But this dog seems to be very friendly and doesn't have that "wild side" that Daisy had. But having said that, I won't go near ANY dogs I don't know now, and instinctivley pick a rock or stick if I come across one while walking now.

Oh, I am so sorry about your hand! I hope it will get over this set-back soon and heal completely at one point! Did you ever see a specialist about it?

When I read that Davey was a boy, I immediately had to think about the fact that this dog will never have puppies which will prevent any further troubles in this regard.

I am sure that once Davey is truly integrated into the pack, you will start feeling more comfortable about dogs again. And if you take him with you on walks that might be added protection. I had always been afraid of dogs as a kid and this was one reason why we got a dog, my parents thought that this would teach me about learning to trust them. And then my host family in Denmark had a Rottweiler, who was actually a very sweet dog and loved to cuddle. That was a really good lesson for me as well! :goodvibes

HAHAHA! Sound like a typical solution a 5 year old would come up with. I wonder if she would thing the same way after she's eaten pizza 16 nights in a row or when she doesn't have any clean pants to wear. :rotfl2:

I never do go in thinking that nerve damage is just something that needs to heal on its own. And that most of hte time, it heals to a certain point then is sort of done. maybe that was a wrong assumption! maybe there's a neurologist reading this and can tell me if a visit would be helpful. Realistically, can anything really be done??

I'll take walks with him after the initial hyper stage. Right now, he is too excitable and fast. I do trust him for the most part. Other dogs get me nervous when they are ferociously barking behind a fence.

ETA: AMEN and Halelujah!!!! NO MORE PUPPIES! All dogs that come from the rescue shelter are "fixed", so even if it was a girl dog, there'd be no chance of that!! Loving that!!

A Great Donald and a Great dog Davey.

I am sure this will help Mikki ::yes::

Ok, you guys are all giving me a big head. Next time, I'll have to not be quite so modest in my next renditions of Disney characters. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I really hope that joy is restored in my little girl. ::yes::

Puppies! Yay for puppies!

No!! No, not a puppy!! Please, no more puppies! :lmao: I don't think you were with us yet for my whole puppy saga- litter after litter after litter with ZERO chance of it ever getting fixed. I mean her getting fixed.

This one is 4 and a half years old already, and thankfully will produce ZERO puppies!!

Kazakhs don't proposition lambs! I mean EWWWWWWWWW!!! As for feet- I'll let yo judge after a few more installments on the TR.
I was trying to be nice, but since you insist........instead of lambs it actually said old goats........ :rolleyes1

Liesa -

Love the Donalds! Yours looks a lot like the instructors. I'm impressed.

Davey - so cute! He looks right at home.

 No, sorry for the fright. All dogs = puppies to me. Big Saint Bernard? PUPPY! :yay:

Liessa I must have skimmed that middle name thing BUT now I will be ready if they ask in August!!!:rotfl2:

Davey looks like a KEEPER!!!!:banana::banana:

Mary, thank you for sharing your story about Baker, what an amazing story it is. I'm so happy he was able to go to Disney.

Leisa, great work on the Donald. And yay! for winning the other Donald, I have never been to a drawing class there where they ask a trivia question, I panic when put on the spot though so even if I knew the answer I would have said the wrong thing or maybe even just pronounced it wrong.

Cute doggie. I always get pet envy when somebody gets a new pet. I want one.

So much banter... so little time! :lmao:

Something happened to all your tickers tonight.... the boards have gone haywire! :hyper::hyper:

I noticed that too! I tried to log in earlier and was told that they are doing upgrades so it would be offline for a while but then I got right in :confused3 Who knows?!?!?!?!

That happens to me every once in a while. I always double check just to make sure.

I actually wish they did upgrades 3 days a week for about 5 hours... I would be able to get some 'real' work done! :lmao::lmao:

I"ve been going through the unsuccessful and frustrating process of trying to post on my blog- so I am just noticing that siggies. What a mess!!

I'll have to finish up the blog tomorrow, but it's one you'll really want to check out- my guest writer Bekka wrote a chapter for us!!! It's all about her getting stung by a scorpion!:scared1:

She must be lurking, because she FB'd me last night with her phone number... I'll give a call soon :)

WOWWW!! Welcome back!! It HAS been awhile, Sophia!!

Did you talk with her?!? How is she?

Sophia!! :yay: Welcome back! :goodvibes

Maybe you should see one girl, I thought you should have seen one when it happened, but I know you couldn't at the time. :sad2:

Me too, I think this will be a huge help in the therapy department.

Yikes! Been there done that! In Texas scorpion's are pretty common, at least where we use to live in San Antonio they were. :scared: I think I've seen one since living here, in ten years I think I like those odds. :teeth:

Are people's siggys messed up due to MickeyPath? That has never been a blocked site here, but maybe now it is...:confused3
