The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Love your Nashville pics...so much fun there. Also Cardinals are very pretty :) Good luck getting through this busy time :))

Those are some amazing pictures! And don't worry about us! Of course you are busy with a million things! Get settled in the last term of your course, it will be over quickly!!

Oh boy... sounds like you're having a lovely week. Keep your head up and good luck!

I had a GREAT day in Code Simulation! I feel SO much more prepared now that we've practiced and feel ready to step up to the plate if I need to. I was checking some threads tonight, but DH just informed me he needs to use the laptop to start our taxes. I suppooooooose that's important too. So, I'll do some studying, and hit some more tomorrow. And get to replies.

Congrats on the good training day. ......:woohoo:and good luck with that other thingy. ..... :teacher: :rolleyes1

What beautiful photos! Believe it or not I've never seen a cardinal in real life, we just don't have them here. Glad you had a good trip to KY!

I've started out this term struggling to just keep done what I need to for each day. The first 2 weeks are pretty consistently very full and very stressful. So, once again, while I see you are all so very faithful in commenting and keeping me company, I may or may not be able to respond very quickly for the next little bit.

Just hang in there. We understand about having to prioritize your time. Glad you had some success yesterday and remember, each day brings you closer to Disney! (and a Nursing degree)

Taxes schmaxes. You just tell him that if it's so important then he needs to buy you a new laptop.

Way to go on the Code Sim day!

Nah. She just thinks of me as this machine that is always there when she needs it no matter what.

Oh how I know this 'tude. However, the last 2 years in school has really given mine a reality check on that. Mom hasn't always been there; in fact, Mom's rarely ever there right now. Errant on the other end of the spectrum I suppose.

You must miss it terribly.

There are some things I do, actually. A MUCH simpler way of life, fresh food (at least what you could get- like horse and goat meats, veggies and dairy products), and WAY better internet for cheap. Border crossings: not so much.

Would I lie to you?

I doubt it.

Oh, good. I'm relieved.

Me too, and my bathroom was even clean.

Even better...199 day dance party! And will add in a YAHOO!!

191 now, Sister!

I was so happy when October park hours finally came out! Sheesh, they took their sweet time with 'em!

For sure!! Took forever! And it came at a great time for me when I had time to sit down with the spreadsheets and figure stuff out.

Yay for 200 days and plans!

It's already 191 today, and time to get my ADR Wish list to Brook to book them soon.

200 days! I'll add in a yippee!

Yippee is a VERY appropriate word!!! Dancing is ALWAYS welcome!

Here is the link to dates but looks like a stay tuned for ticket sales date.

200 says I will add a WHAAAAAA HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I saw that one too. Looks like we'll have to wait to snag any tix for the party; I think I'll put Brook on that one as well as ADRs and my Train Tour.

A very fit celebration for 200 days!

Happy Easter to you too, Liesa!

Did your family do anything special? We had a nice dinner with my hubby's sister and her family of 5 (her engaged daughter and her fiance didn't make it), my married daughter and SIL, and my FIL all gathered around my table. After I'd only gotten home at 5:00AM that morning. It was.... an adventure. My girls and hubby pulled off an amazing event without me being part of it whatsoever.

Coming....

Good morning! I'm glad you had a nice break! Loved how you surprised your mom. The video of her reaction on FB was priceless.

I am still hoping I can make it work on here. I think trying to upload it from my phone was folly.

Wow! Very nice pics. Love the artsy ones. You look just like your aunt, only younger. Going on that trip with her will be amazing!

My family is starting to tell me that. LOL! She's the one I"m hoping to go to Africa with summer after next.

Yay for almost ADR day!! Your plans are coming together, especially after you got a chance to make the color coded spreadsheets!

Yes, they are!! I feel pretty good about what we're doing. Now just need to work on FPs and adding stuff like the Pirate Game stuff.

Congratulations on hitting the 200 day mark!!!!

It's been a long road! But hopefully, things will be speeding up now.

Park hours and finality. That's cute. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Oh fine. But my track record shows that I'm pretty good about sticking with the plan on paper once it gets to spreadsheet format. Maybe we should take bets...

As long as it isn't the St. Louis Cardinals. :rotfl2:

Great pictures and I'm glad you had a chance to get away and visit family!

Do I detect some small amount of disdain here?? :lmao:

Thank, Andy. It was a really nice, slow-paced visit; we had a great time.

Nice pictures! I'm glad you had a good time with everyone and had a chance to relax a bit!

Thanks, Alison! It was quite relaxing and we really enjoyed it all. Lots of eating out, and and just talking. Actually even watched a few movies- something I RARELY do.

Uh.........looks like your normal 88 just plummeted to 66% :rolleyes1

How on EARTH did that cardinal make it into the dove lineup?! He needs to work on his camouflage, no?

(And just shut up.)

Nice bucket list item with your aunt.

You do a pretty good job being fartsy artsy....... :thumbsup2

She's been going to Zimbabwe and Niger for YEARS and can easily set up and write a grant for my trip. She has an in with many of our gov't agencies who do work there. Shouldn't cost me too much. We'll see what comes of it.

Those suckers must be a lot wider than they look. ...... :scratchin

They are huuuuuuuuge. Well, either that or I'm really, really good at adding perspective.

You 2 make me want to issue a challenge of sorts.... Stick to the Plan or Bust!

Love all your pictures. Your artsy ones are breathtakingly beautiful. I like your Honky-tonking pictures too. The neon really stands out.

Thanks, Pat!!! That area really lends itself to a fun photoshoot or two.

Those are some nice shots!
I love the "Slow Road" one especially.

Thanks, Ponzi! Amish country is a serious challenge because of their disdain for being photographed. Finding that fine like between respect and taking artist's license if tricky.

Impressive!

We'll see what pans out. (see above reply to Marv) Developing the curriculum would be the toughest part. That and not having my back give me the middle finger from the long flights.

Looks like you had a great time! I saw some of the photos on Facebook, but I have to tell you:

They are stunning! Seriously, you got some magnificent shots.:goodvibes

Thanks, Mark. Your mad skills are no less impressive!

I like cardinals too. We didn't see very many growing up in northwest PA, but we have a lot now that I'm living in the southeast corner of the state.

Really? HUH! I"d have thought they'd be pretty abundant there. Maybe they are more of a southern bird than I thought. Even odder than a few hundred miles would make a big difference.

We used to always go to the Stockyard restaurant when I was in Nashville on business.

I'll have to look that one up. Maybe we should hit that one up in November when we're there for the wedding.

Purty photos!

Thanks!!

West Africa would certainly be an interesting place to be a nurse. Would this be once you are an empty nester?

OH no! It's only a short term thing, for a couple weeks. At this point just a dream and connection source. We'll see over the next months how that pans out.

I had mock code for dinner once. It was okay, but I prefer....

Wait.

Nevermind. That was mock chicken.

So you did CPR with your teeth?

Then get to bed missy!
I'm at work, so I have to be up. What's your excuse?????

I did. And am sleeping so much better now that a huge chunk of that nasty stress is gone.

Love your Nashville pics...so much fun there. Also Cardinals are very pretty :) Good luck getting through this busy time :))

Thanks, Kathy! It is a really fun town- great places to eat, and some amazing entertainment!

This first week went very quickly, and I"m sure the next 5 will go just as fast!

Those are some amazing pictures! And don't worry about us! Of course you are busy with a million things! Get settled in the last term of your course, it will be over quickly!!

Thanks, Magdalene! I have so much fun with my camera! Our family is going to a very busy rock climbing area on Sunday and I'll get some fun shots there I hope of the climbers and the beautiful area call Smith Rocks here in Oregon.

Now that the first (of 2) exams this term is over, a fair amount of stress if off, now that we all know what to expect. It wasn't an easy exam, and I"m sure we all did a lot better doing it as a group. I"ve been busy communicating with my Preceptor and getting my schedule with him set up, organizing my materials and studying. But yes, it's going quickly and I imagine this term will go so in general.

Oh boy... sounds like you're having a lovely week. Keep your head up and good luck!

It has been a lovely week. Not as much studying, but long, LONG days of lecture. I'm really hoping I can pull an A out of this term and redeem a little bit of my GPA. It's still a 3.86, but the last 2 terms pulled it down with B's in 12 credit terms.

Good luck with everything this week! You'll do great!

Thanks, Dayna!! It's off to a great start! And I love it so far!

Congrats on the good training day. ......:woohoo:and good luck with that other thingy. ..... :teacher: :rolleyes1

Taxes stink. I"m not sure what's worse: paying them or doing them.

What beautiful photos! Believe it or not I've never seen a cardinal in real life, we just don't have them here. Glad you had a good trip to KY!

Thank you so much!

Believe it or not, that was the first time I'd ever seen one. We have pretty boring birds here in Oregon. But maybe I only say that because I am used to seeing them all the time: seagulls, robins, hummers, ducks, geese, etc...

Just hang in there. We understand about having to prioritize your time. Glad you had some success yesterday and remember, each day brings you closer to Disney! (and a Nursing degree)

Hanging. And kinda prioritizing. Today I'm prioritizing being lazy in bed, wasting a huge amount of time on the internets, and sipping coffee. Tomorrow we'll be going to a big rock climbing area for some R&R (I'll be taking my reading). Gotta bank the relaxing before the whirlwind of my month of Preceptorship starts on the 12th.

It's time to order my Cap and Gown- need to get the bling in place before the big day! LOL!

Taxes schmaxes. You just tell him that if it's so important then he needs to buy you a new laptop.

Way to go on the Code Sim day!

Right?! WE so totally need a new laptop on this house. Might be the first purchase after the wedding stuff is paid for.

Keep that up you just might get to meet me at WDW after all.............. :-) :thumbsup2

Is that a threat?

Niiiiice.

Great job Lisa !!!!!

Thanks!!! Maybe I'll actually be able to pull off an A this term!
