The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Oh, I know. So. Terribly. Rough.

I knew you'd understand.

Wait... That's not... sarcasm, is it?

Especially when you are extra, extra efficient with your responses. Sheesh!

Boo!

Alas, I'm being FORCED to go out to breakfast with my Papa at 8:30

That sounds really nice!

so I should turn in now and give it another try tomorrow to enjoy everyone's updates and news.

Not so fast, lady! I see you there still online!

You are NOT interrupting! You are an important part of this PTR and your photos are totally worth sharing. I am amazed; very, very well done- KUDOS to a job that went above and beyond. That must have taken you hundreds of hours to pull off!

Thanks. I actually started designing in November. We had a planning meeting and there were originally 6 of us and I was the "creative Director" as the director calls me. Well, by January when we really started to work, my team of 6 of us dropped to 3 of us. It was truly a challenge and I dedicated A LOT of sleepless nights to it. Tech Week (the week before the show) I seriously got 15 hour of sleep from Sunday -Thursday. The first show doors opened on Friday at 6:00 pm. I was painting small pride rock at 5:45 and at 6:00 I was fitting the harness for baby elephant to the kid who was working the trunk. It was stressful crazy! ROFL.

Wow! Those costumes are awesome! It looks like an impressive production. :thumbsup2
Thank you. It was well worth it to see the kids reactions. AS I brought in completed costumes for kids, just their whole performance would take on a complete different persona. It was amazing to watch. I received so many hugs and thank you's from those kids. They all surprised me the Monday of tech week. It was my birthday and I was behind curtains working on scars lair and I heard the director ask where I was, so I walked out from behind the curtains and the entire cast started singing happy birthday to me and they all signed a card. Every last one of the 98 kids. There wasn't a blank space on the card to be found. It is such a joy to see kids reacting in a positive manner and all the time and work put into it pays off when you see the excitement and joy that kids can bring to your life.

I confess I am a smudge worried about the drive home. My daughter lives very near, so I may crash at her place once in a while. We have some nice lined drapes in our bedroom, so I'm hoping they'll be enough to keep my able to sleep. If not, I may resort to a little Ambien for this stint.

I am glad to hear you have a back up plan for this. I used to commute 50 minute 1 way to work and I remember times when I was so tired I would get home and not even remember the 50 minutes of driving. It is a scary feeling.

she quickly did the calculation in her head and realized that a mere 23 days are left before she would be challenged with a task requiring logistical prowess and a fair amount of luck.

Well if you haven't figured them all out, you have some more time because once you switch to AKL you'll have to wait another X amount of days for your 180 degree mark. I hate that they make you do that.

DING, DING, DING!!!!!!!! Pat, was the only one with the correct answer to that mystery photo. GREAT JOB!!!!

So which photo was that? I have such a short attention span, I already forgot.

No. Just no. It's blood pudding. I've eaten crickets, rattlesnake, and sheep brains, but I gotta draw the line somewhere.

Haggis is Blood Pudding? :crazy2:

Yes, it is. But I"ve learned my lesson about getting to the airport earlier now. They say an hour is enough which a total load of crap nowadays. I think 2 hours gives a softer cushion.

We always aim for 2 hours, Fran moves slow, and even with a FP through security, we still end up cutting it close!

I wasn't getting it at first but a little research and collaboration made it a group effort. :love2:

She rarely gets time to do this in her normal, everyday, rather exciting but strenuous life, so the 3 hours evaporated quickly and before she knew it, she was on her Mom and Dad's doorstep with one hell of a surprise.

I completely missed that you had left on your trip already, so I saw the video and was wondering what exactly the big deal was. What a dope!:rotfl2: Anyway, NOW I get it! How special!

She ended her day with happiness in her heart, a warm, soft bed, and thankfulness for the blessings of family, friends, and a Waffle House nearby.

But mostly the Waffle House. :rolleyes1:rotfl:

You mean poor and infamous... at best.

For fear of sounding rude, I wasn't going to say it. But now that you have....

I just got to work a few minutes ago and Kay texts me to tell me to drive her to school tomorrow... at 9:30.
Uh... no. I need to get some sleep.

Teenagers think that sleep is for weenies.

 Whoa. You have lived in interesting times.

It took 23 hours of standing in lines with psychotic people (one lady was lighting grasshoppers on fire, everyone else was drunk and singing to their dombra music). Fun times.

I'm not good with rhetoric.

Oh really?

Shoulda taken that empty row in the back.
(I know, there probably weren't too many (if any) free seats.

The exact count on that was: zero.

I knew you'd understand.

Wait... That's not... sarcasm, is it?

Never.

That sounds really nice!

It was a place Mark (@Captain_Oblivious ) would have loved. LOADS of local flavor, and loads of meat and food swimming in grease and gravy.

Not so fast, lady! I see you there still online!

I had one more thing to do.....

I like to state the obvious.

Teenagers think that sleep is for weenies.

Nah. She just thinks of me as this machine that is always there when she needs it no matter what.

You must miss it terribly.

Oh really?

Would I lie to you?

Oh, good. I'm relieved.

mmmmm.... grease.

This is very subtle. I think I'm picking up on your clue though.
I shall counter with a "woot".

Woot!

Well, I made it to most, but certainly not all of your TRs, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd have gotten caught up on many more had my time not been hijacked with this and that: shadowing an RN at an In-Patient Hospice Facility most of the day and getting a deep tissue massage before that, and watching a movie tonight. I can't remember the last time I just sat and watched a movie clear through!

However, more importantly than that, I was FINALLY able to put some real time in turning tentative plans into glorious works of art. I can't upload the photos from my dumb phone (technically, it's a "smart phone", but I think it's pretty dumb if it can't upload my photos). But imagine lovely, lovely spreadsheets in neat columns and rows, color coded with ADR wishes, Snacks and Drinks of choice for each day, FiP choices.....aaaaaalllll that good stuff!

Anyway, with park hours being published finally, I can put some finality to my planning. Very little had to change, although a little tweaking happened after @GoofyFan1515 and I had a little planning powwow. I'm sure there will be minor tweaks in the months to come, but most is really set quite nicely.

Now, who knows when party tickets typically go on sale?? And how far in advance can I buy Tour tix??
