Can't see the vid. I'm at work. Will peek in later when I'm home.

But it's less than half of 15 months...7 months is a long way to go. For all of you, and certainly for myself.
Cool! I'm glad you've had a chance to start this tradition!Last night my girls and I were treated to a magical evening complements of my generous Christmas gift to us. This was our 6th Annual Girls Only Dinner and Broadway Night. In the past, we've enjoyed Broadway Divas, Lion King, Phantom, Wicked, and last night... Wizard of Oz.
Well, small victories, I guess.I'm happy to report I did not crash, miss any of my exits, or spill another cup of coffee in the car.
Got it.At this point, I'd forgotten to do something very, VERY important. Remember that.
Well, when you're right, you're right...On the other hand, my 20 year went on a lengthy rant that she can buy a rifle, drive, procreate (she's WAY too focused to even think about a relationship, let alone entertain the thought of that), and vote, but can't have a cocktail with her mom.
Agreed. My own opinion (since this is my thread and can not only opine with redundant excess, but can also invite you to as well) is that this is an absurd Americanism which neither has any intended benefit or helps parents teach moderation at the time and age they feel is appropriate for their own children.
Oh wow... I'm glad you didn't overdo it this time.My daughters reminded me in time that the last time we were there, I had a pretty strong drink, and ate WAY too much spicy food and ended up with a gallbladder attack during the show and basically suffered for 2 hours in a theater seat. Only borderline worth it. If you've had gall bladder issues, you understand. If not, imagine plucking your own fingernails out and then dipping them in acid- that would come close.
Uh oh...She was very grateful and thanked us, and we continued on our way. About halfway there, it struck me that I had once again forgotten something very important. But I wasn't turning back because: 1) I had high heels on and, 2) something looked very ominous as we approached the theater. I can't think of one single time a theater was dark and the doors weren't opened half an hour before curtain. Huh. That's weird.
Well, crap. Nursing Student Brain was in full control when I printed out my directions and here we are. At the wrong place. GREAT.
Whew... that was close.Ok, quick! Who still has battery and internet? Bek did, so she fired up Google Maps and let us know that we had 15 blocks to walk. In the rain. And high heels. And it was 7:10.
Cool!!!Toward the end of play, we suddenly heard the Witch's voice BEHIND us! Not 2 rows back in the aisle 3 seats over, she appeared to make threats to the "Citizens of Oz" (the Audience). My youngest nearly wet herself with excitement over this close encounter. It was magical to see the pure joy on her face during the entire show and squeeze my hand at every cool effect, song, or dance. Memories like that don't happen every day.
Ok... trying to figure this one out. So did you get a parking ticket at school and then drive all the way there with it still tucked under the wiper???Have any of you guessed what other costly mistake Nursing School Brain made last night? There tucked neatly under the wiper, in all it's rude glory, was my parking ticket. I wasn't going to just leave without paying. But I'm sure they hear that all day long and more. Ah well.... I added an extra $44 bucks to the festivities.
Yuck. Sorry to hear this, but I'm glad you had a little time to spend with her 1 on 1.She's been having a really hard time in school. A long story, but I've got a pretty sad teen who simply hates school and was recently betrayed rather harshly by someone she thought was her best friend.
Wait.
She's going to buy a rifle, drive to some guy's place and force him to procreate???
What kind of kid are you raising there?
a ZOO!!!Because it's NOT...
Woohooo!!!! Are you sure you'll be here Wednesday? Because I'm thinking you'll be nursing yourself back from a hangover and barely making it to your meeting in time. The last exam *EVER* with this much stress attached in this nursing program is at 7:30 on Tuesday morning, followed by our exit interviews with our Advisors. There will be no small amount of celebrating afterwards.
On the one hand, I've come so far. On the other, 7 months is a long way to go. For all of you, and certainly for myself.

I had wanted to do the Melting Pot, but I knew we wouldn't have time for that- perhaps another night sometime later this summer.
Only my oldest is over 21, but she doesn't drink much ever. On the other hand, my 20 year went on a lengthy rant that she can buy a rifle, drive, procreate (she's WAY too focused to even think about a relationship, let alone entertain the thought of that), and vote, but can't have a cocktail with her mom. I will probably regret the utter waste of my day in that area, but it has been good to feel somewhat engaged here too.
Where is this? Hint: It contains a Letter Z.
The last exam *EVER* with this much stress attached in this nursing program is at 7:30 on Tuesday morning, followed by our exit interviews with our Advisors. There will be no small amount of celebrating afterwards. Wednesday, we go back for a half day of meetings where we will learn our Preceptor assignments and how all of that works.
Butter chicken sounds GOOD But what is Palak Paneer???? I had Tacos and fruit for supper !! See I eat ethnic food !! Marv I am referring to the Tacos NOT the fruit![]()
After going the other night, I looked up some recipes online, and it actually doesn't look as hard as I thought. I have all the spices and some pork thawing, so I'm going to give Korma a try tomorrow night.
Paneer is a type of Indian cheese. Quite lovely! It doesn't really melt or get gooey, and has the consistency of a soft tofu, but is more flavorful. Palak is a purred spinach curry that is truly amazing.
The good news is that I need a 30/100 to pass the class.
The bad news is that sometimes I can be my own worst enemy. While I certainly don't expect perfection, I'd still love an A. But getting a 95/100 is about as likely as my Facebook page is to stop getting clogged up with political rhetoric and nonsense anytime before November.
My worst exam EVER. But still a B. Just sooooo glad to be done!!!!!

At least this mistake didn't get anybody dead.

a ZOO!!!
But it is.![]()

Time goes by so quickly now! 7 months is nothing.
Cool. I can recommend another one to you now...
I need someone to explain the Melting Pot to me sometime. I love melted cheese and chocolate too, but isn't the rest of the meal just boiled meat? And why do they have a head chef if I'm cooking my own dinner?
We all want what we can't have. Then we finally get it and wonder what all the fuss was about in the first place.![]()
So...let's not do that, then.
Nah. Sometimes your brain needs a break. I used to get to the point where I closed the books and said, "If I don't know it by now, I never will."
The Republic of Nahtahzu.
Liesa did a fantastic job describing it so I'll just refer you to her reply!
I love korma. Judy's made stuff from scratch...put together garam masala spices, we've made naan, the whole thing. But the other night's meal was just from a spice package thing we found at the grocery store. An "Indian Food Helper" kind of thing. It was interesting, the butter chicken was good, but didn't really taste like butter chicken. Not creamy enough. Oh well.
Good luck on you Last Exam!!! Have fun with your study buddies, and even more fun celebrating!
Also, I would've sung along with Somewhere Over the Rainbow. But no spicy food for me, sorry! (I know, more for you!)
![]()
And it's not a great photo, but can you spot FroZone's Ice Blast on the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom card?
Good luck on the last test! Hopefully you can enjoy the last study sessions!
I guess you won't read this before your exam starts, but I will be thinking of you!! Wishing you a perfect 100/100!
That's got to take some of the pressure off.
Maybe a little?
So... no chance at all, huh?
Rock that exam, girl!
Hopefully I got in before you began your final, just wanted to say good luck! You got this! And yea final exam!!!!!

I missed commenting on the Z post, but I wanted to wish you luck on the final. I know you're probably in the home stretch so I hope it's going well!
Sorry for the B! But CONGRATULATIONS on passing your last exam for your degree!! You rock!!
I'm afraid that just won't do.
Kidding. All done! Woot!!!
You did it! Congrats!
