The 5 J's Go Back to Disney *6/7* We're home :( But the TR has been started!!

:cool1: :cool1: You've got your documents!! I think I heard that sigh of relief all the way down here!:cool1: :cool1:
Hoping you're feeling better! I feel like such a whiney baby, fussing about my week after looking at yours!! Love the part about being naked if you don't do laundry soon. I feel you, sister!!
Hang in there! The days are ticking away!!

I've got even bigger news than documents! And I still haven't done the laundry:rolleyes1 Well, that's not entirely true. I washed a couple loads but they are still on the couch and I haven't put a dent in things yet.:sad2: Thank God I have a front loader!

OK.

So I mentioned that I have news.

Big news.

Really big news.

Am I sufficiently annoying yet? :)

So this morning was my graduation rehearsal. It went quite smoothly. While I was sitting there listening to one of the instructors instruct us on how to graduate:rolleyes:  I heard my cell phone buzzing in my purse (it was on discreet, of course!). I discreetly looked at the caller ID and it was the hospital.

I discreetly left my seat and slipped into the hallway.

It was the Director of Nursing. She said, "How about we skip the formality of the peer interviews if that's ok with you? Everyone in the NICU wants you to come on board, so I'd just like to offer you the position if that is ok with you?" :scared1:

Once I picked myself up off the floor, I eloquently gushed, "OH MY GOODNESS!!!" :sad2: Then, "Of course, that is ABSOLUTELY ok with me!! Thank you so much!!!"

She told me congratulations and to expect a call from HR to set up an appt to finalize things and sign paperwork. :cloud9: She told me that she wanted to offer me a position so that I had things in place before the ceremony on Sunday - so sweet of her! And she will be at the ceremony, too.

So of course, by the time we hung up, I felt like I was going to throw up.:scared:

I half ran/half skipped back to my seat (yes, I really did:rolleyes1 ). Of course, everyone else was still sitting nicely and paying attention. I whispered to a few people in the rows behind me that I got the job and then slid back into my seat. I was so excited I could not pay attention. My head was spinning and I felt like I was on the clouds. :cloud9:

It killed me that I couldn't call my DH right away and tell him. So I just told everyone else I saw LOL As we practiced walking the stage and two of our instructors greeted us at the end of the stage, I whispered to both of them, "Ms. S... offered me a position in the NICU!!!" They both said YAY!! And then as I was almost back to my seat, Mrs. F... said, "So did you take it?" I yelled back, "OF COURSE!" and then was slightly embarrassed for being so loud.

See, there are 76 of us graduating. That is the largest graduating nursing class ever at our school. So that is a huge, wonderful thing. But that means that there were a lot of people there rehearsing LOL And I just acted like it was all about me, because at the moment, it was:rotfl2: Just kidding. But seriously, I was so focused on that phone call and what it meant, that I just couldn't think of anything else at all. So I feel I should maybe apologize to my fellow graduates if I was disruptive :rolleyes1 But I know that they are all happy for me as I would be for them and am for them.

So that's my big news. The best news ever. I still can't believe it. It hasn't sunk in yet. :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

PS Forgot to mention that I go in Monday @ 9am to finalize everything and sign paperwork.

Congratulations!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Congrats on the new job! There's nothing better than getting the job you want. Even going to WDW isn't better cuz that's just a couple of weeks out of your life... you've got to do the job every day. I hope it is everything you want it to be!

Jen,

Congratulations on the job and graduating nursing school!

It really seems like you were just getting ready to take your first trip, how time flies.

So I see you've finally caught on to "Disney math". DH laughs that Disney math is going to end us in the poor house.

I hope you and the kids have a wonderful trip. You've picked some of my favorite restaurants. Definitely try to catch Wishes and the EWP from the beach of the Poly. It is spectacular.

Can't wait to read your trip report. No dropping off the DIS boards like last time! You will enjoy the trip so much with the time built in to just relax.

Busy always. I am so glad to have a few weeks after Disney to just chill out with the kids. I am trying hard not to make any commitments for our time in June, but we've got Vacation Bible school and something else. At least it isn't something different everyday for each kid:scared: Thanks for the congrats :)

Hey Robyn! Great to see you here! Thanks for the congrats. Looking back, it does seem like just yesterday that I started school and also took that first trip, but at the same time, it seems like ages ago. Does that make any sense?:rotfl:

I am glad we picked good restaurants ;) Lots are new to us, but several are repeats that we just loved. Last time, we watched the fireworks from the Poly beach after Ohana and loved that. Of course, you wouldn't know that since I didn't do a TR last time:rolleyes: LOL I can't wait to write a TR this time!! And I'll actually have some time to do it with no school work hanging over my head:banana: I promise, no dropping off the face of the DIS this time;)

I had to break up my replies because the smilie police nabbed me for having too many smilies hehe!

I will have to come post later - Jory wants me to play on NickJr.com with him now. TTFN:tigger:

Congratulations!

Great pre-trip report! Can't wait to read more. Thanks for sharing--
Renee :)
