The "3882 days between WDW visits is just insane" PTR

? In 2 weeks I'll be making a ressie at POR for the 18th.. no parks but a nice relaxing resort day to start off our vacation!

I'm joining in your PTR. It sounds like you are going to have one awesome time!!!!

I am so jealous of how organized you are. I'm the same way and its killing me that I can't do ADRs yet or really plan our days since its so far out and I want to see what ADRS we get & if I can talk DH into another day (or three)...

aw thank you! I wish I could be planning more..but its REALLY hard since I work 2 jobs ( plus homeschool) and the kids don't know we are going..so i can't plan and such when they are home and awake..which is most of the time I am home..lol

Very impressive, getting the envelopes and binder done so far before the trip. :thumbsup2 POR sounds like a great choice for the extra night.

I spent an hour the other day organizing all the Disney items I've picked up since we booked our trip. It's not a ton yet, but we are getting there..

Here we have the toothbrush holders I got, one for each room. A laundry bag ( and yes we will be doing laundry while there). Clip on water bottles for each of the wee ones. Disney snack bags for breakfast on the bus...lol. Mickey Bandaids.

No Disney specific clothes for the 9 year old.. he wouldn't wear it if I paid him anyway!
I pay off our reservation on Tuesday.. then I will be socking money in the bank for gas, tips and such and buying more "must haves" for the trip.

Well I added a day today.. I have 2 room only ressies for Aug 18th..then our package starts the 19th.. we will be arriving VERY early the 18th.. good thing is our best friends arrive the 17th so we can bum with them and swim and all that stuff ALL day before we start the parks!!!

Love all your Mickey stuff...how are you hiding this...or better question, how are you keeping it a secret???? I'd be dying to tell!

My kids saw the Mickey bandaids at Walgreens the other day and wanted them for vacation...I just couldn't spend that much for them so I am waiting for them to go on sale...who woulda thought bandaids would be so exciting!

LOL..tha bandaids were $1.50 at Target..

We have a rubbermaid tote we toss vacation stuff in, the kids aren't allowed in our room so it's pretty easy to hide it all.

I AM dieing to tell them..it's killing me.. but even if we were gonna tell them we wouldn't til much closer to the trip..lol..

we have 85 days til we land at POP ( 84 days until we leave).. we had 277 days to start..we've kept this secret this long..what's a few more days right?lol

I no longer could take keeping the secret.. I broke down this morning and told the kids.. I have 3 happy happy kids ( the 4th already knew).

I am glad that I can now plan out in the open instead of trying to hide it...lol.. the kids want to make a countdown chain and all sorts of things..I am even more excited now.

here's the video of them finding out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjpZx5NB-7U

 I followed you over from your post on the Theme Parks board and read your whole PTR today. Looks like you have some great plans! :cool1: I just came back from a trip there (home a week today :sad1: ) We were at SSR and had 7 people, all adults, We thought that was a big group to manage with everyone wanting to go at a different pace, etc. I can't imagine dealing with 22! :scared1: I don't blame you for breaking down and telling the kids, I definitely wouldn't have been able to keep it in that long! :)

76 days... it's getting so close, yet so far.

We've made even more additions to the trip. Now we are leaving the 15th after my dh gets home from work. We are driving straight thru down 95 to outside Savannah GA. We have friends there we usually visit every April. Because of this Disney trip we didn't go visit them this year. Well we've decided to spend the 16th and 17 with them, then leave their house about 5-6am on the 18th and to POP for our 11 nights!

WOW...your trip keeps getting bigger and better!

It's getting really close for us now...not close enough but we don't want to rush things, do we? :)

We're at 71 days today...and some times that feels like nothing and others it feels like it will never get here!

I know..it's crazy..honestly if I didn't have my 16 year old staying behind ( he's flying in the 19th) then i would be leaving Sunday instead monday..LOL..but I can only have him with my mother for so many days..lol

I made our countdown.. it's for the day we leave on vacation ( which is 3 days before we get to Disney):

I have 1130 hours until we leave on vacation and 1196 hours until we arrive at POP( spending 2 days in GA with friends on way down).. I am finally about to sit down and really plan out our days ( loose).. I want to make a list of the different rides/attractions/shows in each park so we can check off what we get to do. Anyone know of a site that may have a current list already? Last one I saw only had out dated ones.. if not I have semi current park maps I can work from.

1130 hours.. to say I am excited would be an understatement!

Oh also.. for those of you who write trip reports.. do you take notes all day? If so what do you use..a small notepad??

Oh one more thing.. autograph book people..where can I find the oversized pens that make it easier for Characters to sign??

It's...getting...soooooo...close!!!!

We use a sharpie...never had a problem...and each kid would have it's own color. We still have not decided on autographs or not. In the past we have done homemade books with pictures form the previous visit. Last time we did not do autographs. This time I am afraid lines will be too long. But then I remember all the character breakfasts we are having. We saw someone with a Disney character encyclopedia getting that signed and thought that looked like a cool idea...I wonder if sharpies go through those glossy pages??? And now that we've decided to lug the stroller (such a struggle to make up my mind on that one!) we don't necessarily have to worry so much about what we're lugging around.

As for the trip report, I usually take notes in a smallish notebook but I only usually get through three or four days and then get lazy. I will normally catch up my notes when we are sitting for a parade or waiting for a meal or on eht bus...something like that. Then the rest of the time I go by pictures. I am considering using my iPhone this time for notes...but I don't know how much power that is going to take and I am already struggling with how fast my battery seems to drain. So the jury is still out on that one. I have thought that it would be neat to have a form to fill in with activitied and such but I have not decided on a good way to do it that would be convienent and make it easier to keep my notes...if you find one, let me know!

I'll have to look into hours...right now I know it is 45 days...WOO HOO!!!! Paid off yesterday...WOO HOOW!!!!
