No sweeping here tonight..wooh ..no sweeping here tonight.. wooh..

I don't care if you are a Hawks fan or a Flyers fan, this series has been great so far.. The Hockey has been awsome! All games-1 goal games, and an OT game.. This is great stuff. It is nice to see a great, close series.

That being said..

LET"S GO FLYERS!!!! I Believe!

Nice game Flyers !!!

Once we won the 1st two games at home, I really thought that the Flyers would win game #3.

Remember I did say...Hawks in 5 games...MAYBE 6.

I have a funny hunch I am leaning towards a 6 game series.

This has the makings of being good !!!!!!!!!

Hats off to the Flyers for pulling it out in OT!

As much as I wanted a sweep, it makes for better watching when the games are this fast paced and close (albeit a nerve wracking game!)

This is my last post as we are off to the CR bright and early tomorrow AM. Since there will be a Game 5, I am not bringing the laptop to watch game 4. We will be cheering our Hawks on from Sunny (hopefully ) Florida!

Have a great vacation !!! We will be there at the Beach Club in 8 weeks and 5 days...(but who is counting)

i didnt get to watch the whole game, just the third and OT because of my graduation (our senior class president even incorporated the hawks into his speech) But nice goal by Kane!

Hats off to the Flyers, even though after that "goal" in OT was determined not a goal, i thought that would give the Hawks momentum and score, it had the reverse affect.

Im glad theres no sweep......Hawks just wanted to bring it back to the UC!!!

Ditto to this. DH & I are watching the series even tho the Sabres were out long ago. We have both said the Sabres would never have played this good. Very physical games.

So even tho we're Sabres fans.......Go Hawks!

I am so glad that it will not be all over on Friday..A co-worker who has been with the company for 10 +years is now retired and wanted to take myself who has been his boss for all these years, and the 3 owners of the company out for dinner. We are going on Friday, and are going into Philly. I would have been one mighty stressed out individual at the dinner table if I was wondering if we were going to get Swept on Friday. I might had to move my dinner plate to the bar area!

Since Everyone is throwing their "predictions" out there, I am going to say Flyers in 6. Why 6..because I wanna win it all at home, pour onto Broadstreet and have the Parade on Saturday so I can save my extra vacation day for Disney! That's right.. I want it all, and I want it my way

Oh..one more thing Flyers fans.....

When I was a kid watching the Flyers making their cup run in the 74-75 seasons...I always remember Kate Smith singing God Bless America.

Kudos to the Flyers organization of remembering her. Im not sure if its an every game occurance that they show the video of her singing halfway thru the live version but it sure was great to see.

It was nice that Versus shows the way we do it in Chicago and the way you guys do it in Philadelphia.

The Kate Smith video only appears during the play-off season. I think it is a classy move too, it has been this way for several years.

Looks like I'm going to miss the Hockey Party you are having at the Beach Club.. I will not be arriving at the Beach Club until the 21st..

You probably would not want to be there anyways...it will be a Hawks victory party in Disney World !!!

anyone else hate the NBC announcers? so biased in my opinon, i miss my Pat Foley and Eddie Olczyk (Now all you young hockey players out there.....)

Well, Eddie is on the braodcast with Doc. I personally think Doc is one of the best announcers out there. BUT, of course I wish I could hear Pat Foley.

John Wideman and Troy Murray on the radio (WGN 720) are OUTSTANDING. The only problem is the delay factor from radio to tv. Radio is about 8 seconds before the actual play.

Also, Eddie O seems to play to the national audience instead of being a "homer". He has to do that, thats his job.

On the other hand...Keith Jones (versus studio ) is an ex-flyer. But I do think both ex-players of each team are actually being very professional.

All of that being said...if any Hawks fan was not happy with all the Flyers love on the broadcast last night...here is the reason why,

there was a chance THAT the Hawks could have been in a clinching scenario Friday night. If so, Versus probably had all the Hawks features lined up for friday night and I am sure we will see those features tomorrow night anyways seeing they used all the Flyers features for game 3.

I dont think Hawks fans would want to see Flyers features on the night the Hawks could have won the cup....and that works both ways too.

I thought the commentators on Vs. are total Hawks fans.. I even thought they should be wearing their Jersey's. Myself, I like to listen to the local radio announcers while watching games. I love the home team feel!

Question for any of you. I've always wondered about the playing of God Bless America instead of the Star Spangled Banner. Are they both considered national anthems?

No. God Bless America is not the National Anthem...however, it is played at Wrigley Field before Cubs games once a week usually on Sundays. Then Wayne Messmer and his wife Kathy sing the Anthem.
