Hawks will close it out in Philly on Wednesday night. The Hawks finally figured out that they have to punish Pronger. Also, great move by Coach Q to split up Kane and Toews.

Wow.. Congrats Hawks fans.. Your team really kicked the snot out of the Flyers last night. Where were the Flyers last night? They sure as he** did not show up to play hockey. I think that was their worst game of the play-offs.

I still believe they can do it. If there is any come-back team in NHL this year, it is for sure, the Flyers.

I want game 7!!!

Well gang...The REAL Hawks showed up last night. They were dominant from the beginning. The line changes by Q did the trick. One thing that helps is this team plays together and they are all inter-changeable.

Another thing...Pronger cant double shift the whole game. By splitting Toews and Kane up its basically "pick your poisen."

Pronger looked old and slow. His +/- rating was a -5 and he was in the box when Buff scored on a PP.

Your coach has really messed with your goalies heads by pulling Leighton twice AND Boucher really not being a solid backup.

There are 5 mistakes made by the defense before the puck gets behind the 6th guy. I think your coaches way of switching goalies is backfiring. Even though he is trying to use it as a motivational ploy.

It did work for about a 10 minute stretch in the 2nd period but that was about it.

They key factor here is the Hawks forward depth is just too strong. We have 9 forwards who could all be on a #1 line. The Flyer D just doesnt know who to stop first.

My first prediction was Hawks in 5..MAYBE 6. BUT, before the Hawks switched up their line I really thought this would be a "homer" series.

Unless, the Flyers adjust, this is over Wedsnesday night.

I didn't have a good feeling about last nights game from the start. As the first period went on, I really didn't think they were going to bounce back at all. I don't know where the Flyers were but they weren't in Chicago.

If this goes to game 7, I think I'll be watching with the volume off and only one eye open. Although I still have hope they can do it.

This I completely agree with. Total crap move.. like I said in the first game.. you wanna send a message to someone who isn't playing up to par.. pull them for an extra shift. Sure as heck couldn't have hurt more than switching goalies. You would have thought that MGMT. would have learned that the first time he switched goalies.

All I know after watching the replay of the post game coverage, your coach, Peter Laviolette, has a "deer in headlight" look to him. The fact the Hawks juggled up their lines has really dumbfounded the Flyers coach and a few of the players.

Pronger can play it off all he wants, BUT, he was completely horsescrap last night and he knows it.

A few good things in the Flyers favor...#1 obviously home ice and #2, they have an extra day to adjust to Hawks line changes.

The lack of Flyers defensive depth and skill is what is going to be their downfall. Your two best are Pronger and Timmonen...after that the Flyers have no one else to match up with the Hawks. Carle maybe ?

Another question for you Flyer fans...."why is the Flyer fans so "obnoxious". ? I actually know a few people who were there for games 3 & 4 and them fans give the Flyers fan base a bad impression.

Is it the New York / Boston complex they are trying to keep up with ? I have heard the same about the Eagle fans too.

I think at some point in peoples lives you would think they would grow up.

i was out of town for my brothers baseball tournment and i can not collect all my thoughts at the moment but i shall try ( i was able to watch game 4 and listen to game 5)

Game 4
where were the refs? a cross check to Niemi and no call. My dad was going NUTS
There was no way around Philly (and if there was Hawks couldn't figure it out)
Hawks decided to step up their game....unfortunately it was a little too late, but it made an exciting last couple of minutes.

Game 5
pretty obvious, Hawks domination of the first, but give Philly credit for keeping up and showing up with those four goals. Hawks did have the edge tho
BUFFS HIT ON PRONGER. plus his goal when pronger was in the box.....enough said.
lets hope thats the last game at UC til next season!!!

So far..this is the hit of the series and it could not have happened to a better guy.

I have no problem with Pronger the player. BUT my problem is the disrespect he shows to the media with his snipy comments. He needs to grow up. The media is only doing their job. If he does not want to talk to the media..then dont go to the media room to be interviewed.

Slow down a little bit sparky, I never one time stated that Chicago fans were innocent.

BUT, being a Hawks season ticket holder, nothing has happened in the 3 games played here vs. people walking around the UC wearing Flyers garb.

I have heard it first hand from 3 people I know that went to either game 3 or game 4 how they were treated from Flyer fans.

I certainly hope you are not one of the Flyer fans that actually condone that sort of behavior.

I think at some point in peoples lives...the bulb goes on and its time to grow up.

Do a youtube search of anything that happens to a visiting fan at a Hawks game. Slim and none. We dont treat people like that at the United Center.

Also...try using something to justify your argument a bit more current than a double story from 7 years ago that took place and a White Sox game.

I guess now IM JUST SAYIN !!!!!!!!!!

About the fans.. I think the fans are well behaved (for the most part)..until provoked. When I was at the Flyers/Habs game and we were winning 4-0, there were actually 5-6 Habs fans in the snack area chanting extremely loud.."Let's go Habs", and "Flyers S*C*". I thought that took alot of let's just say Nerve as this is a family forum. I was suprised that the Flyers fans didn't stuff them into pretzel and chew their heads off. I know they were pushing my buttons! But, as I walked away, no security was running that way, so I am guessing all was calm. Are all fans crazy..no. Do some fans from oposing teams look for trouble.. yes Does the media sometimes specifically grab onto something and keep needeling it..yes. I think that is the case w/Philly fans. We have a few bad eggs caught on tape doing to the same stuff that is done all over other stadiums. We get a bad rap for it, and then the media just waits until the next issue to start the crap all over again. It makes for good TV I guess.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled Hockey talk.. The line switching def. caught the Flyers off gaurd, and honestly, I don't think they (the Flyers) even showed up for the game. I am thinking we will be much better prepared on Wednesday and can't wait to watch the series unfold..

Again...well said.

All I did was ask a question because I heard it from 3 friends of mine who witnessed it 1st hand. Then all of a sudden a poster wanted to turn it into a Chicago vs. Philadelphia thing. Im too old, and I hope too mature, to get into a battle of words on the internet. Maybe I should have just IGNORED her. Oh well...

Anyways, game 6 has the makings of being a classic. Any word from your neck of the woods on who is starting yet ? Personally, I think its Leighton. He really has a good home record for you guys in the playoffs.

As far as series MVP's goes....I think you can eliminate both goalies. Neither one has played particulary well. "IF" the Flyers win it ...I think its Briere (hope I spelled that right). Pronger kind of took himself out of the running with a horrible game 5....and "WHEN" the Hawks win it...I think its Duncan Keith. He has been a rock back on D. Buff possible IF he has another game like he did in game 5.
