Thanks for this info, now can anyone help me convince dh to go for a grownups only trip just for f&W?

I need the same magic bullet to convince my DH! Let me know when you find it!

Well for some reason my hubby wants to go more than me, he loves the food options and ALL the drink options. We had a blast year and he has talked about since we left, wanting to come back this year. Good luck in getting them signed on.

The official 2010 dates are October 1 - November 14.

July? ARGH!!! :scared1:

I thought - or assumed - the schedule would come out in the spring - like April - not July (which isn't enough lead time).

My husband has a total crush on Cat Cora so that is the big event we would want to hit as well as the culinary adventures at the California Grill.

We were going to "guess" for about 10 days (over two weekends to catch two parties for the senses) in October 2010 and get a room at BCV as soon as our 11 month window opened, thinking we would change it when the schedule was released if there was something we really wanted to go to.

So, I guess we'll pick a 10 day window and hope for the best.

Thanks!!

Unfortunately, even if they released the schedule in the spring it is still subject to change at any time.

One thing I wish they had at the F&W festival is a few more benches around WS. Since I'm go solo, no one can find a place to sit while I stand in line (like many people do). Many times I've stepped away from the booth with food in hand, only to end up standing and balancing while eating my food. But I love the F&W festival and can't wait for the 2010 details.

We'll be there. This will be my third time...but dbf's first. He loves food so it should be awesome!!!

We'll be there too! My second time for F & W, but the first time for the rest of my family. I am hoping that there will be a comprehensive recipe book this year, so that my dad (who has lots of food allergies) can see what's safe for him. I know the booths won't be able to make any special meals like the TS restaurants can, which is why an ingredient list is so helpful.

They will have ingredient lists at the booths that you can ask for. In fact, I would use those rather than a published cookbook in case they're substituting ingredients.

There isn't a need to subscribe to this thread - there will be an official information sticky thread closer to time for the festival. Most likely no schedules or menus will be released until at least July and we usually start the thread in June.

That's good to know about the ingredient list - thanks!

Arriving Oct. 21 for 8 nights at BCV. Can't wait! This will be the 5th time for me, 3rd for DH. Talked him into getting an AP so he would come this year. We really have our fingers crossed for a Flying Fish signature dinner, but know the chances are 1 in 6! We do want to to do the Tutto Italia and Tokyo Dining pairings for sure, so I hope they are on the list this year.

Checking weekly for news, speculation, or just anticipation.

I have Nov 6 to 14 booked in a 1 br at Kidani (home resort)...what are my chances of switching to BCV at the 7 month window?

BCV might be kind of tough. I heard that several people who have just recently tried to make the change at 7 months, had to go on the waiting list. However, a few of us helped them out-at 7 months, I gave up 3 nights at BCV for AKV. I was originally planning to stay at BCV for 10 days, but then I decided that after a week of running around at the F&W festival, I'd probably be ready to move over to AKV and just REST! Plus the points were much cheaper in an AKV value studio than at BCV.

I've gotten BWV at 7 months before, just as a change from BCV (I own BCV). BCV is smaller and the odds are kind of decreased, because most of us BCV owners who do F&W book early for festival trips. You can always try a wait list.

I own at BCV, but I decided after the 7 month window opened that I wanted to extend my trip on the front end by a couple of days. I put myself on the wait list but didn't get in. I had a backup plan in case I couldn't get in, which I suggest you do, too.

I booked at AKL in Jambo house for Oct 12th through the 17th for concierge level, but I had to wait list the 14th, right in the middle. I have never wait listed before, does anyone had an idea of how often it works out? :confused3

I got a reservation for the 14th at a non concierge level, hoping that I get to move up.:scared1:
