looking forward to attending this for the first time ever. I'm hoping my BFF can join me since Dh doesn't have any interest in going.

It is a great time for all, you have time to talk him into it, my DH loves to go to the seminars on Bourbon, Scotch, and all the food.

:hippie:

We're going again for Columbus Day weekend:cool1:

Just realized that we will be there for the last night and day and I could not be happier. Hopefully I can talk DH into the last PFTS. Went in '08 and loved it! Met Jaime Deen and Robert Irvine! I thought we would miss F&W but I will be happy to enjoy any little part of it!:yay::yay::yay:

Oct. 17 to 24 for my third consecutive year. I was successful this morning in changing from VWL to BWV so, for the first time, I will be able to walk to Epcot. I am hoping that either my SO or my closest female friend will be able to join me for at least part of the trip.

We're Disneymooning!! :love:We'll be there 11-16th and bringing DD's 21 & 15, my mom, sister & niece!! Staying at WLV & All Stars. Planning on doing last day in Epcot just us, with lots of tastings. How crowded is it if your just wanting to visit the countries?

Robert Irvine fans should have been at the PFTS in 2008 when someone asked him to take off his shirt, and he did.

Fine, if you don't choose a Friday night, Saturday or Sunday. Weekends can be EXTREMELY crowded.

We are going down Oct 26-23. We have never been in October and have never experienced EF&WF! I am more excited for that than anything else! Hope the weather and crowds are good!!!

  • Bring back more of the higher quality wine vendors; selections at tastings and pairings seem a) fewer and b) standard, grocery store wines.

They definately need higher quality wines. Skip the crazy wine bar in the festival center...set up the wine machines where you select the wine/pour and enjoy. Change the wines out weekly. All they need is people to change out the bottles and make sure peoples cards are working properly.

A lot of those little machines would easily fit, they could even have several sections of say 10 wines so many people aren't waiting for one. Something like the coke sampling place.

I loved that you could build your own six pack at the Beer Hop for only $28...so tempting...

It would have been great if they weren't selling cr*p beer, and only six to choose from. What's the point, lol.

Better off doing it at your local grocery store!

I do recall a time when it was set up like a cafeteria.

So no I don't think you're crazy, but I may be. ;)

When Le Cellier was the cafeteria that was the best the food has ever been. Hubby and I still miss it. That stew that had was wonderful!

So how was meeting Robert Irvine????

I think he is amazing, was he as big as he looks on TV, his arms are wonderful!:cool2:

Robert Irvine is fabulous, and yes he is as big as he looks and his guns are even bigger LOL. Nice looking guy with an adorable wife. She was there when we met him at PFTS.

LOL, yep...that was a dear friend of mine! She asked, he did it. She had been dreaming out his guns since the day I told her what PFTS he was attending.

I was standing there when that happened, getting some of whatever food he was serving. He had an undershirt on but it was kind of stretched to the limit. So there was some free extra beef cake at PFTS that night.

DW and I met Robert Irvine at the 2007 Food and Wine Fest. He is a big boy but one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Agree, I get better beer variety at my local store than I did at Food and Wine.

Please bring in better beers.
