OK...I am missing this place soooo much! I don't know if I can wait 18 months!

The best transportation option is always the same.....your own two feet.
If you mean the manner in which the CMs handle opening IG, I think you're right. It seems to be a matter of YMMV on any given day. To us, it is not a big deal though. Even in worse case, you will just miss that first rush of guests and that's not bad IMO.
I booked two rooms at yacht club with an authorized Disney TA. She said that I was unable to add dining. Why is this? Is it based on the room rate? I did get a discounted rate through the TA.
Although we are staying off-site we have treated ourselves to two nights at the Yacht Club over New Year. On the day we check-out will we be OK leaving our car in the Yacht Club car park whilst we visit Epcot? And if we decide to visit other parks will we get free parking for that day? If so, what will I have to show for this, will it be a hotel ID card?
Many thanks.![]()
Is it possible to see the fireworks at DHS or EPCOT from the beach area?
Hi Teena,
I wanted to say that we will be in Disney in 25 days and we are really looking forward to meeting you. We are staying at the BC but we are going to go next door to check out YC's Christmas Decorations plus we have ADRs for Yachtsmen's Steakhouse and Captain's Grill...very excited. I have an OT question for you. Since you obviously have been in Disney for December, I was wondering if you can tell me what the weather is typically like for the first week. Basically, I am racking my brain trying to figure out what type of clothing I should bring for my family of 4. We are going to MVMCP one night and we love to do both the Evening and morning EMHs, so I know we will definitely be needing coats for that (plus I am bringing some lightweight gloves and earmuffs for the girls for our MVMCP night), other than that, should I bring shorts or capris, or just stick with jeans and slacks, or both. Thank you for any info you can give me.
Couple of disappointing things I've noticed during this trip:
-There's no more resort-specific merchandise in the gift shops. CM told me they are eliminating for all resorts.
-Looking over at the Boardwalk (as I type this) - the neon signs are almost all gone. The only ones left are Flying Fish and ESPN Zone. It seems less like a boardwalk and more just like a low-key restaurant area.
-There's no more classic cartoons channel on the TV cable. You have to go to the lobby to watch.
Still, it's my favorite place in all of WDW and I wouldn't stay anywhere else (without question).
