6 foot 2 is not going to fit on the old daybeds and there is no telling which you will get. 6 foot 2 is going to be a stretch on the new ones too. You may want to request a room with two queens only and ask for a rollaway bed to be brought in for him. It's the size of a real single bed. It's comfortable as far as what I hear from guests.

Thank you for that, we'll have to rethink. Really lookng forward to our holiday next August. We had breakfast at the Beach Club this year and that persuaded us instantly that we wanted to stay there next year! It looks beautiful, and we only saw the lobby and the Cape May restaurant:love:

You can always just wait and if you get a room with one of the older daybeds, just come back to the front desk and ask to either be switched to a room where a rollaway can be brought it or one of the rooms with the larger daybeds in it. We can't tell at the front desk which daybed is in the room so they would have to send one of the runners out to check out the available rooms to see which has the daybed.

if we are 4 adults in a room at YC do we need to call and request a room with 2 queen beds? I saw in the King room there looked like a pull-out couch which those are not comfty at all!!

TIA!!!

hi,

we are switching from WL bunk bed room to BC for our stay next Sept for 8 nights. :cool1::cool1: we definitely need a room with 2 queens and daybed, it doesn't matter to us if we get new or old style since DD9 will sleep on it not DS12 who is 5'8" already. If we request a daybed, are our chances good of getting room with one since we only have 4 people. We booked garden view room.

thanks so much.

Just back and still love the BC but I must say the bus service has become unbearable. 5 different resorts - Dolphin, Swan, Yacht, beach & Boardwalk serviced by one bus. Ridiculous!

Can anyone tell us about CL offerings? Never stayed at a deluxe and thinking about going CL at YC.
Would really appreciate some opinions/pictures...

Those of you who have stayed CL at BC, is it worth it to upgrade? :confused3 I am on the the DDP for our trip.

Thanks!popcorn::

The five sleepers go to parties of five first and then randomly to others. Since you are only four, I would make "daybed requested" as your priority first request on your reservation. We try to meet as many requests as we can and if you just request a daybed, unless they are all gone, you will most likely get one.

Don't fret about it. When you check-in at the front desk, just say "We really need a room with a daybed since my son and daughter don't want to sleep in the same bed. Does our room have one?" They will check and if not, they will try to switch you. Worse case scenario, if there are no rooms available with a daybed since they were given out to parties of five, then you can request a rollaway be sent to the room. Guests tell me they are very comfortable and when not in use, they stand up so they don't take up alot of room.

See you next Fall!

We enjoyed Cl at both BC and YC.

We stayed BC in July, and YC CL last October.

Here are the offerings I remember:

Breakfast - bagels, croissants, banana bread, muffins, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, cereal, juice, coffee.

Afternoon snacks - cookies - sugar and chocolate chips, homemade chips with dip, yogurt covered pretzels and gummy worms, soda, lemonade.

Appetizers - 2 hot appetizers each night. Some of the offerings were bacon wrapped scallops, mini egg rolls, pot stickers, crab ragoons, chicken skewers. Cheese and crackers, vegetables and dip, hummus and crackers, soda and lemonade.

Late night - several mini desserts, wine, cordials and beer.

I used BC IPO and found them to be super. We got all the ADRs we wanted, they booked an Illuminations Cruise for us, did some birthday shopping for ds, and even ordered a special cake for us from BC Private dining.

HTH.

I stayed BC in April 2008 in a 2 queen room with me, DH, and 2 kids. I was looking at the first post on this thread and there are room layouts of the King room and 2 Queen room. I noticed on the King room there is a daybed AND a twin sleeper. My children will be 6 & 7 on our next trip, would they allow us to book a King room for the 4 of us (one of the kids on the daybed and one on the twin sleeper)?

There are very few rooms with king beds in them. You can't book a king bed. You can just request one. And some of the few rooms that do have king beds don't have daybeds in them either. You can certainly request anything you want. I really think it's a real real real long shot that a party of four is going to get a room with a king bed, a daybed and then request a rollaway. I think you'd have a much better chance of requesting and getting a room with two queens and a daybed.

What is the walking distance from BCV and Yacht Club (I know they are located on the same property)? My husband and I will be at the Yacht Club the last night of our vacation and my daughter and her three young children will be at a studio at the BCV. Is it a far walk between the two? and which is bigger, studio at BCV or standard room at Yacht Club? I'm wondering if I should just move her and kids over to the Yacht Club, but then she would have the hassle of moving and changing rooms with three young ones. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

I am getting a little worried about the beds. We are checking in in a few days and my son who is 5ft 11 will have to sleep in the day bed. We stayed 2 years ago at the Poly and my son slept in the day bed and was okay. He has grown a few inches since then. Will he be really uncomfotable? Help!!!

We were in room 1602. Here's a picture of our daybed. I am not sure if this is an old day bed or if it was just a couch. I can't say what other rooms at the BC have. It did not pull out at all, was basically just a couch. It was not anything like the daybeds at the CR or Poly. It would be way too small for a 5'11 person. I'm 5'2 and I would not have been able to lay down in it. It was too small for my 52" 9 yr old! We didn't even use it. We just squished 2 kids and 1 adult in 1 bed, and 1 kid 1 adult in another bed. Thankfully we were all too tired to care! It would certainly be something I will consider in the future when my kids are bigger though because this will be the last time we can all fit in 2 beds!

Don't worry. If you get a room with one of the new daybeds, he'll be fine. If you get a room with one of the other ones in it, he won't be fine. As I said before, we can't tell at the front desk which rooms have which daybeds in them. So, check out the room, and if it has one of the smaller daybeds in it, then just immediately come back down to the front desk and tell them your son won't fit in the daybed, and ask for a room with two queens and a rollaway bed in it. He'll fit fine in the rollaway. What day are you checking in?

That's one of the older style daybeds, not the newer ones that are in some of the rooms.

After reading all these posts I am convinced ! Just confirmed my reservation for a stay at the bc Jan 23-30. We had been "poly" people, but think this will be a wonderful welcome change!!
:goodvibes
Can not wait!

You will love BC! The Poly is great but we found that we love YC/BC even more!
