OH Michael Johns.... Loving the Australian accent.

I also like little David!

Jason Castro is from my town.

And believe it or not, we have the same hairdresser. She does his dreadlocks. She says his hair is really beautiful without the dreads.

He sings at a local church here every weekend, and there was an article about him in the paper today. Apparentely, the Idol producers said his audition was one of the best they had ever seen, but he sang "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley...and they couldn't get a release for the song to be placed on air.

We'll see.

Micahel Johns was definately my favorite tonight!:thumbsup2

Dave Cook and Michael Johns are both busy! argh!

i love how he didn't thank Simon

and half of the girls look the same i can't tell the difference!

Thank you Michael Johns for singing The Doors.:worship: :worship:

I read that somewhere else. I was prepared not to like him because of not seeing him previously, but I liked him tonight. He had a lot of John Sebastion in him, and I agree with Simon: he should have just played the guitar with no backups or band.

Oh man that would have been awesome to see!
I like Jason, and both the Davids.
I also like Colton Berry, in the same way that I liked John Stevens & Kevin Covais. :cutie:

Jason and Michael are my top two...I guess for me they saved the best for last.

Week One – The Guys - Wrap-up
I enjoy the music of the sixties, but I wish the contestants would get a chance to showcase who they are and what music they like in these initial rounds.

Overall, an incredibly boring night. Quite a disappointment as no one really stood out.

David Hernandez – In the Midnight Hour – In the dreaded first spot…he was okay, but I feel like he fell apart at the end. I’m not sure I like the tone of his voice.

Chikezie – More Today Than Yesterday – While he was rockin’ the orange suit, I don’t think he a right note in the first 30 seconds. And I hated the slowed-down version of this song. It’s one of my favorites, so maybe I’m a little biased. And he’s going by one name now?

David Cook – Happy Together – I guess we have to start every song slow tonight? Granted, I was no fan of Daughtry, but this guy’s “lite rock” is one of my least favorite subgenres of music. I thought he was pretty weak and don’t get the praise the judges bestowed on him at all.

Jason Yeager – Moon River – Didn’t think it could get cornier than Chikezie…I was wrong. With the finger pointing and the awkward smiles…wow…He didn’t sound awful, but the performance was cheesy.

Robbie Carrico – One – Comparing him and David Cook, I think Robbie’s the better rocker. I thought it was pretty good actually.

David Archuleta – Shop Around – Started much too low for him. I like this kid, though. I think he’s definitely got a voice.

Danny Noriega – Jailhouse Rock – In his audition that I saw online, I thought he could actually sing. Tonight I didn’t think he was that good. Didn’t think he was as awful as Simon thought, but he wasn’t that great either.

Luke Menard – Everybody’s Talkin’ – What is up with this slowed-down stuff tonight? Luke was just Luke-warm. Agree with Simon that he was forgettable. Sorry, ladies…

Colton Berry – Suspicious Minds –He looked comfortable onstage and he sounded pretty good, too. About 3/4s of the way through, he through in some unnecessary runs, but overall, I liked it.

Garrett Haley – Breakin’ Up Is Hard to Do – Taking the Phil Stacey Creepy Award for me tonight (the award is not just reserved for those that are bald)…One of the few to sing a ballad tonight, I thought he was average. I agree that he was boring.

Jason Castro – Daydream – Looks can be deceiving, I guess. My favorite performance of the night. A couple wrong notes here and there towards the end, but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Michael Johns – Light My Fire – Sorry, ladies, but I’m not a huge fan of this guy. I don’t know why, but I think his voice is kind of boring. Still, I would agree with Simon that he’s got charisma.

The Best
Jason Castro – Daydream
David Archuleta – Shop Around
Robbie Carrico – One

Middle of the Pack
Colton Berry – Suspicious Minds
Michael Johns – Light My Fire
David Cook – Happy Together
David Hernandez – In the Midnight Hour
Garrett Haley – Breakin’ Up Is Hard to Do
Danny Noriega – Jailhouse Rock

The Worst
Luke Menard – Everybody’s Talkin’
Jason Yeager – Moon River
Chikizie – More Today Than Yesterday

Going Home
Jason Yeager – I feel like he’s definitely going home
Luke Menard, Chikizie, or Garrett Haley for the second slot.

Get your fill of Michael Johns tonight…I’ll ogle the ladies tomorrow ;)

MMMMMMMMMM Down under that ;) :lovestruc :worship:

LOL!!!!!!!

I found out today that the Ellen DeGeneres lookalike only lives a few miles from me. I think he's a little too goofy to be an American Idol, but his voice wasn't that bad. Apparently he does a lot of theater in my area.

Having said that, I'm still going to vote for the smokin' hot Aussie!!!

There is David A, David C and David H.

Well, it has been fun, but I need to go to bed. See you all tomorrow night, same time, same channel!;)
