The $2,088.47 Disney Dining Experience! Update 9/29 - Everything Pop

Many many thanks for your Dessert party review...I booked it for our MVMCP night and I cannot wait to go!

Okay, this will definetely sound really corny, but how cool to get a "good review" quote from the Queen of reviews! You made my day.

About the reviews, sorry for the break. We had parent's night at both schools and 4 soccer games this week. I will get back to them this weekend probably when the "boys" are watching football. Diane.

Thanks for the reviews. I normally don't read the dining reviews but this one caught my eye.

We had a similar experience at O'hanas. I think that I was more open to it than my DH, who hated it.

CP is our (ok, maybe mine) favorite breakfast. I totally understood everything that you have said. I love the french toast and the breakfast lasagna. I'm hungry just thinking about it. We will be at WDW from 12/25-12/27 and then 1/3-1/7. CP closes on 1/3 for refurb. I am hoping that we can get it for 12/26or 12/27 or I will be sooo disappointed.

I would love to try Lecellier. I don't think my DH would like it. Maybe I will have to go without him.

Tusker House-we also really like this breakfast and this is a must do for us.

We haven't done MM in awhile, but after your review, we may have to try it again.

Hoop De Doo-we did this for the first time last year. We loved it. I feel sorry for the little boy. What a bummer way to have to spend an evening and a bummer for everybody around him too. Quoting my grandmother-sometimes common sense isn't so common.

So I am trying to get back on track! The new school year always kicks me in the butt. No matter how hard I try, I am always playing ketchup (really corny food reference)!

Everything Pop

My reviews of the food court are based on limited references. I have only stayed at CBR and Pop. Both food courts are great in my book.

Breakfast: Throughout the ten days we had a mixture of probably 75% of the breakfast items available. We were able to get a meal, side, and drink with the dining plan. Trust me, you had to go to a cashier who looked like they "got" it. My son would go in and get the seat for us. Now don't get me wrong, it really was never so busy that we wouldn't get a seat, it is just that he is 14 and lazy. But "he" chose that job!!

Chocolate Chip Pancake Platter: Very good, fluffy, large, but sweet - even for a 14yo boy. He usually ate them plain. No need for butter or syrup. Loved them. We were able to dictate the side to all bacon for him. Yep, he likes the limp bacon that the food courts serve. This was the same at all the stations!

French Toast Platter: This would be a great dessert, but way to sweet for breakfast. I wasn't watching while they made the platter and they rolled the french toast in brown sugar and powder sugar. We only managed a couple of bites.

Omelets: Very good, fluffy, real cheddar cheese not american cheese. Veggies cooked properly, at just a little crunchy, never mushy. The eggs were never runny which gets a "way to go" from me! The sides were potatoes, which were hit or miss as OMG great to just good. Never bad though. Great for dipping into ketchup.

Bacon, Egg, Cheese Croissant: Good, not great. Processed cheese, but cooked properly. The croissant itself was a little greasy and that was the only downside. Sides - see above.

Bounty Platter - scrambled eggs, french toast sticks (frozen kind, but no brown sugar:thumbsup2), bisquit, bacon, sausage and potatoes. Definetely good and consistant. Along with a side (we chose either a cinnamon roll, muffin, or chocolate chip croissant) this was a great choice and fed 2 perfectly and some mornings we even slipped in a third eater with another side.

Cinnamon Rolls, Muffins, and Chocolate Croissants: all very good, large portions, fresh. We even had an extra few CS's and brought home muffins that fed us the whole first week of school. They had banana nut, blueberry, and double chocolate.

Belgium Waffle Platter: My favorite. Always cooked perfectly and they did not use a "overly sweet" batter. I always had the strawberries on the side. We would spread them on bagels and or toast depending on the morning.

Breakfast Wrap: Surprise of the trip. DD waited til almost the last day to try it, but proclaimed it her favorite breakfast. They made them fresh if you asked and customized the filling for her.

We also had a few assorted danishes, fruit cups, and coffee cake. Think Enntemanns.

Lunch: We were not at the resort very often for lunch but DD did have to get the nacho's one day as they are her favorites.

Nacho's: I am assuming that they were very good. They disappeared very quickly and no Tums were ever needed..

Pizza Platter: While the pizza was "ok", they are small. More bread than toppings. But with a growing boy, food disappears no matter what. To me this is the bottom of my list for food at Everything Pop in value.

Cheesesteak Wrap: Very good, the meat was very tender, the cheese was ooey and gooey, and the onions were cooked properly. I always asked for one to be made fresh. This is very, very good, BUT it is also the greasiest food we encountered at the food court, which could be the reason it tasted so darn good!!**

Turkey Ciabatta Sandwich: This is my DH's favorite. The turkey is very moist and good and they dress the sandwich with greens and somewhat of a "pesto" mayo. We brought some home which DH brought to work the first week back. They are large and he could make one into two lunches. It came with a bag of chips though...

Desserts with the lunches were Ice cream sundaes: Very large... 3 scoops of ice cream and we were able to ask for toppings. The receipt said brownie sundae for ours and regular sundae for the kids even though we all had meals off the adult menu's. So if your going to do sundaes, have the cashier ring out brownie sundaes, since the brownies are a slice of heaven in the middle of a food court!!

Okay even though we are not at snacks, regular nacho's with just cheese were allowed for a snack for us and also one day DS got an order of fries. Both were hot and good.

Dinner:

After Ohana's we used 2CS's for 1 large cheese and pepperoni pizza, two drinks, and two desserts. Since I only let my DS have Monster once in a blue moon and we had the resort mugs, I took the Monster home with us. They are still in the fridge:rotfl:! The pizza was fresh and hot and good. If you carry it to your room it counts as 2CS, delivered it is 4. I reccomend ordering, waiting the 15 minutes and walking it back to the room. They provided little packets of parmesian cheese and spice packages. For dessert we chose a chocolate cake and 2 oatmeal cookies. (the cashier told us two cookies counted as one dessert.) The cake was moist but rich and the cookies were really good. Soft but not gooey. I must admit we enjoyed this dinner as we were able to relax in the room and we watched a Disney movie and talked. I would recommend this one night of your trip. It is a great down-time.

Now that I am done, I can see writing about 10 days at once is really hard. I hope that for the other CS I will be a bit more specific as the meals won't all jumble in my head. IF anyone has any questions about Everything Pop, please just ask. It was like being in my kitchen by the end of the trip, I could navigate it with my eyes shut:scared1:!

Hey girl! I love all of your reviews!

We did the large pizza deal in our room on the last night of our trip and it was nice to just relax and enjoy dinner sitting on the bed... :rotfl:

I would have loved to do the dessert party but dh is not much of a sweets person so we passed on it. So glad you guys had a nice time with it. :goodvibes
