The 1st place you ever ate at WDW was....

The first meal that we ever ate at WDW that I can remember (we went when I was a kid but really don't remember if we ate at the park or not) was in November of 2008 and our meal was at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was our first character meal and we aboslutely loved it!!

My first trip in the 80's, I was nine or ten, we ate inside the castle. I don't know if it was CRT at that time , but it was the best. I remember being so excited and just staring all around....amazed

It would have been King Stephan's. Which I used to love to tell my parents, "Disney made a mistake, King Stephan is Sleeping Beauty's Dad, not Cinderella's." So they fixed that :goodvibes

My first TS was the Empress Lilly

The only 2 TS that stand out are HDDR in high school 1985 and Fultons crab house but I think it was called Empress Lily?? it was a character breakfast. As a child I remember eating at the Poly but I dont remember much about it I was 7 years old it was about 1975.

It was a late lunch at Peco's Bills. I had a burger with lots of fixin's.

Tony's, breakfast, 1993. Don't remember what I had (pancakes I think?) but the one thing I will always remember is that most TS places back then had these little standing Mickey statues of butter to use at the table that were so cute!

My first visit was in 1973 with my parents, siblings and cousins. My parents had 7 kids between 2 and 14 with them. We ate lunch somewhere in MK but don't exactly remember where. I think it was Cosmic Ray's as I remember going on the Speedway that day with my older sister (she died 9 years ago) and she let me "drive".

My first trip on-site, we ate dinner at Chef Mickey's. My niece and nephew were 3 years olds. It was truly a magical meal as we had had to cancel two trips that year because my nephew was ill.

Well, I remember going to WDW in 1977, but since I was only 7 years old at the time, I have no clue where we ate at the Magic Kingdom.

I do remember going to River Country and Hoop De Do Revue. :goodvibes

Chef Mickey's when it was where Cap'n Jacks is now! Back in the good old days--1992--when there was attention to every detail. 3 D mickey butter, chef Mickey moved table to table to see each guest, but not the choas of todays chef Mickey's. I had chicken fajitas (I think it may have been the daily special), I do not remember what DH had, but I know we skipped dessert and went to the Marketplace for carrot cake later on! I wish my children could have experienced WDW for the little details that are now lacking.

Oh, I still have my King Stephan's Banquet Hall souvineer mug! DH and I had a wonderful lunch there during the same trip in 1992.

I still have my mug too! It was pretty much the most awful meal I've ever had at WDW but I didn't care. I was 11 and eating in the castle! Although I still remember thinking that it wasn't what I expected it to look like (I don't know what I was expecting :confused3 )

Interesting Tidbit: King Stephan's was named such because the character from Sleeping Beauty was reportedly Walt's favorite of all time.

My first restaurant was either King Stephan's, San Angel Inn, or HDDR. I can't remember which came first! I was 6 and the year was 1989. :goodvibes

We went a lot when I was a kid, but we had relatives in Orlando so we never stayed on site. I'm sure we ate some CS but I have no idea what.

Our first meals when we brought our kids in 06 were CS at Pizzafari at AK (chicken parm sandwich) and Ohana for dinner.

2005, we were staying at POP on our arrival day and checking into the BC the next day. We ate at the POP counter service, I don't remember what I had but it was great b/c I was at WDW for the first time in my life at age 42. I also remember having a drink at the bar by the pool, best beer I ever had!

Wow, what a fun nostalgic wallow.

I actually remember my first meal - it was at the Adventureland Verandah, in the Magic Kingdom, now long gone, and it was June of 1983. It was a burger.

More vivid was my first meal as a married man ... July 28, 1980, in the Contemporary Resort, at the Gulf Coast Room, also long gone. I had prime rib. Our server said, "Wow, isn't that a beauty?" I thought he was talking about my bride. He was talking about the meat on my plate.

I have a knack of closing WDW restaurants, it seems.

Hoop de Doo or the character bfast at what is now Fulton's...in the 70s!

First meal ever was the Empress Lily character breakfast in 1976. First time as an adult in 1995 at Chef Mickeys for dinner buffet. Food wasn't great but the atmostphere, especially through the eyes of our 7 yr old, was magic.

Yes! I was trying to think of the name! Sure, I could've googled it, but where's the fun in that?!?
Just thinking about reliving the magic through a child's eyes gives me chills! I took the kids to LTT for their first character meal! DD was 2 and scared, but ds,3, was a huge ham and loved every minute! Now, dh...never been to a character meal, until our upcomign trip. He's a ham, too, though...:rotfl2:

My first meal was in 1991 at Ohana's for breakfast. I remember being so excited and hugging all the characters lol :p

January 21, 1973 at King Stephan's. We had prime rib and a caesar salad. Can't remember dessert. It was the 2nd day of our honeymoon!
