I was very nervous about trying POFQ after such a wonderfully magical stay at WL this past summer.

However, after reading a thread about someone that just recently returned and after the encouragement from those on the WL thread we decided to keep our ressies for December.

I hope you have a great time. Post a note if you have time after your trip to tell us about it.

We are under 60 days now!!!

The official guide book says they offer them at guest services but you have to put down a deposit.

Anyone done this at POFQ?

As far as busstops..POFQ Had #12 or #13 for most places. At Downtown Disney they are stop #1.

Has anyone ever not liked their room assignment at check-in and asked for a different room before completeing the check-in process?
If so, what was the CM's reaction and is that considered rude? I have a daughter with arthritis and the CM that booked my reservation said he couldn't fit in a certain building request only non-smoking due to medical reasons (asthma).

I don't want to be a pest to a CM so I was just wondering.

Thanks for any input!:wave2:

I believe at POFQ the rooms have a data port for you to connect your own laptop for dialup, but you get charged for the phone call. Other that that, I was told that the only other place at WDW is at the Grand Floridian or some place in Epcot. . . probably Innoventions.

We stayed in May and my husband went in and came out- with a smoking room, he didn't know it was a smoking room AND we were paying for a water view.

We just went back in and asked the CM if there was still a King, Water View, Non Smoking Room available? We weren't harsh or demanding and he was very nice to us in return. We had no issues switching rooms, he even gave us a choice. We got a great room, on the second floor, facing the river, and close to pool. It was the best room. He said he was new and was sorry for the mix up and we thanked him again and were on our way.

New Topic.
I'm so bummed. I want to go back to WDW so badly. This was my favorite resort. POFQ was so awesome as far as I am concerned. I stayed at CB, which is probably super for families with teens, but it was just too large for me. POFQ was great for me because I loved that I could hop on the ferry and run up to POR for a great dinner. Or take a stroll in front of the mansions from one resort to the other. Lets not forget the romantic carriage ride through both resorts. Or the benieghs early in the morning on our way to EMH!!! Or swimming in the pool and sliding down the dragons tongue!!! My husband went down on his belly and the lifeguard blew the whistle at him!!! It was so funny! Hes 30 and was such a kid at heart with that slide. Even the kids thought he was great. I loved the theming and everything! I got a stomach virus (got to visit Celebration Hospital) and they even delivered chic soup to my room when I requested it even though there isn't really room service. I didn't get to go to MGM because I was sick, I had to stay in my room for 2 days, I want to go back soooo badly!!!!

I figured out we could go for about 5 days and stay at POFQ.... 2 adults could go for about $750, not including food, but that does include tickets, airfare, room, transportation to and from airport....My husband even has an Annual Pass thats good til May 5th 2005. I guess we would have to go a week earlier than this year in order to use his pass.

Whats the catch? I have been out of work for 6 months so money is getting tight since we have bills to pay and credit card bills-yech!. I would love to go again in May. To me, its the perfect time, I LOVED the Flower and Garden Show and the weather was great and the traffic wasn't oppressive. Maybe if I suggest no birthday or chirstmas gifts we could do it? It would be hard not to want to buy gifts. But that would be a really, really great gift. Or maybe I should be skipping birthday and christmas gifts AND skip Disney this year. But what a waste of an AP.

Oh, I know exactly how you feel..that longing can be so strong!

I have to run to work in one minute (new job after none for 2 years!! And this is part time)..

Book a room, hold it and then hope for a discount code to come up - or book with one of the TA's that are recommended on this site who will keep checking for you.

I am going to Mousefest for the first time and using my new Disney crd cr - will be paying if off until the next visit!

Must run...but if you have a plan that will help get through the waiting time! Having a countdown clock will help!!!

Hi, Hillbeans,

Welcome back and hope your trip was great!

How did you like building 5? What was your view, please?

Thanks much!

Thanks. Hope you had a nice time! I'm hoping they're installed by the time we go. This will be our first time at POFQ and I can't wait!

Hi, Diane,
No deluxe rooms at POFQ. A waterview is $15 more per night, but the rooms are exactly the same. King rooms are the same decor, and $15 extra if a waterview is booked.

Just booked for March 10-13, but she can't guarantee me a non-smoking room, what is up with that.

Can only guarantee a non-smoking room for medical reasons..i.e. someone has asthma, allergies etc.

I have to have one guaranteed now, but for many yrs did not and always got a non-smoking room.

Hope it works out. It's terrible to worry about getting a non-smoking room. I think it should be guaranteed for everyone who requests one.
