We stayed in May and my husband went in and came out- with a smoking room, he didn't know it was a smoking room AND we were paying for a water view.
We just went back in and asked the CM if there was still a King, Water View, Non Smoking Room available? We weren't harsh or demanding and he was very nice to us in return. We had no issues switching rooms, he even gave us a choice. We got a great room, on the second floor, facing the river, and close to pool. It was the best room. He said he was new and was sorry for the mix up and we thanked him again and were on our way.
New Topic.
I'm so bummed. I want to go back to WDW so badly. This was my favorite resort. POFQ was so awesome as far as I am concerned. I stayed at CB, which is probably super for families with teens, but it was just too large for me. POFQ was great for me because I loved that I could hop on the ferry and run up to POR for a great dinner. Or take a stroll in front of the mansions from one resort to the other. Lets not forget the romantic carriage ride through both resorts. Or the benieghs early in the morning on our way to EMH!!! Or swimming in the pool and sliding down the dragons tongue!!! My husband went down on his belly and the lifeguard blew the whistle at him!!! It was so funny! Hes 30 and was such a kid at heart with that slide. Even the kids thought he was great. I loved the theming and everything! I got a stomach virus (got to visit Celebration Hospital) and they even delivered chic soup to my room when I requested it even though there isn't really room service. I didn't get to go to MGM because I was sick, I had to stay in my room for 2 days, I want to go back soooo badly!!!!
I figured out we could go for about 5 days and stay at POFQ.... 2 adults could go for about $750, not including food, but that does include tickets, airfare, room, transportation to and from airport....My husband even has an Annual Pass thats good til May 5th 2005. I guess we would have to go a week earlier than this year in order to use his pass.
Whats the catch? I have been out of work for 6 months so money is getting tight since we have bills to pay and credit card bills-yech!. I would love to go again in May. To me, its the perfect time, I LOVED the Flower and Garden Show and the weather was great and the traffic wasn't oppressive. Maybe if I suggest no birthday or chirstmas gifts we could do it? It would be hard not to want to buy gifts. But that would be a really, really great gift. Or maybe I should be skipping birthday and christmas gifts AND skip Disney this year. But what a waste of an AP.
