The toiletries are made by H2O. At POFQ, as with other mods and the values, you get a small bottle of combined shampoo/conditioner, a bath size bar of soap and a smaller bar of handsoap for the sinks. These will all be replaced by Mousekeeping, as needed, on a daily basis. If you need extra you can always call and ask for more.

The shampoo/conditioner will be fine for the kids, or the guy on your trip, but personally I take my own shampoo and conditioner. Also, some folks are allergic to some soaps. If you have soap allergies you would be better off taking a brand you are comfortable with. But I find the H2O bar soaps very pleasant and easy on my skin.

I know I have seen a hair wrap station at POFQ outside the Jackson Square store, but other times it has not been there. It may be there only seasonally. I have also seen a hair wrapping station at POR, but again not on every visit.

And Laren, nothing to be nervous about. In Sept. I'll be going back for my 5th stay at POFQ. I love it there and can't wait to go back.

Thank you Tink's pixieduster. I will be bringing shampoo & conditioner for me at least ;) . We have used the soaps before and they are fine too. I will check on the hairwraps when we check in.

Thank you so much! After staying deluxes the idea of it has me nervous but hearing how repeat visitors like you love it makes me feel much better.

Besides we're going to DISNEY world!!! LOL I know we're going to have a great time no matter what because I'm going with my best friend who also happens to be my DH. It's going to be great :)

TYVM!

A few questions:

1-Anyone know the appox cost of cab rides from POFQ to the parks or other resorts... just looking at our budget....

2-What time do busses start running to parks for breakfasts?

3-Any last minute tips for us - we are leaving in 24 days!!! WOO HOO

I loved the shampoo. It was my favorite scent, lilacs, and my hair felt great.

You will enjoy the resort. Relax and have a good time.

Hmmmm. We were there 4/25- 5/05 and again 9/01-9/09. I tried the shampoo/conditioner combination and the smell was nice but I don't remember it smelling like lilacs (which I LOVE  ). After trying it in April I knew that my hair would need a little more TLC than this shampoo/conditioner provided. It didn't work for my DSis either. So glad it worked for you, though! :thumbsup2

This is what we had in our room, except the shampoo/conditioner was in a much smaller bottle. http://www.disneyresortcollection.c...ory2Name=Bathtime+With+Mickey&categoryLevel=1

You know what? I just went and smelled my bottle again (yup, still have a few left) and it is my OTHER favorite flower -- hyacinth. Not lilac. Definitely hyacinth. And my bottle looks just like your picture, so it must be what you had. Sorry for naming the wrong flower!

Well, I only got through about 1/2 of the 128 pages of this thread...What great info and pictures! This will be our first time to go mod, so I have a few questions (I hope they haven't already been covered)...

1. Are there still coffee makers in the rooms? Are they 2 or 4 cup makers? Do they use pods or filters? Cone or flat bottom filters? I gotta have my fix!

2. At POP you could get a box of Entenmans (sp?) donuts for a snack credit. Do they have that option here? We are not big breakfast eaters.

3. Has anyone found it very time consuming to pick up your packages at night that you had sent from the parks? At POP last Sept., we just quit having stuff sent back to the hotel becasue it took FOREVER to pick it up in the evenings.

Thanks for all the great feedback/info/pictures! I can't wait! :woohoo:

:thumbsup2 Hi there! My mother and I adore POFQ! Our first stay there was this past December and we fell in love with it.
Yes, there are coffee makers in the rooms for you coffee lovers out there ;) Not sure about what kind of filters....sorry about that.
Yes, there are Entenman's at Jackson Square and you can use them as a snack credit :)
And actually, I didn't find it at all time consuming, but very convenient picking up our goodies later. I don't think I ever waited more than 2 minutes to get my stuff and sign off. Then again, when we did pick our stuff up it was usually after 10pm, so maybe that's why.....but I never found it a big deal.
You'll love the resort to pieces, hope I helped you. :goodvibes

Hope this info helps, we were there over Easter.

1) Cabs are not expensive,we went to the Orlando Premier Outlet and it cost $15 each way. Are you going to use the free buses?

2) Buses start 1 hour b4 parks open. Keep an eye out foe Extra Magic Hours. Recommend doing MK when Extra Magic Hour is on in the morning. You can blitz most of the rides by 10.00.

3) Use Extra Magic Hours in morning especially. If you are not driving are you using the Disney Magical Express from the airport. Make reservations at restaurants in parks, you can cancel most of them if you decide not to go there. Check Fast Passes as you can usually get another b4 your original one runs out. For major rides get Fast Pass first thing. Buy clothes out there, it's extremely cheap.

Any other questions, please ask.

1. Coffee makers are the 4-cup size and take the basket filters, not cone filters. But you don't need to worry about this unless you are bringing your own coffee (which many recommend). Mousekeeping provides coffee pods, filters that contain the coffee inside them. This way there is no loose coffee to spill.

2. Figment's Friend answered this nicely.

3. We usually pick up our packages in the late afternoon or early evening and it has taken a while sometimes, especially if there is more than one person in front of you. I've waited as long as 10-15 minutes with one person in front of me and only CM available to retrieve the packages. But that is the worst case scenario, not the norm.

Hi! Probably a silly question, but could I go to Scat Cats club and get some wings to take back to the room if I wanted? I LOVE wings, but can't see any on the food court menu!

Thanks

That's the same as the shampoo/conditioner at Pop. I used it the first day and it didn't work for me either, I have highlights though. Poly has a really good seperate conditioner which did work. Not a big deal to pack a small bottle from home :) . We are looking forward to our stay!!

Unfortunately Scats no longer does food. There are no wings at the food court either. The pizzas are nice but we found the choice quiet limited. The food court at Riverside is much better and only 10 min wlk or 5 mins on water taxi.

If you are buying beer from the bar the poolside bar is around $1 dollar cheaper than Scats per pint!!!

The hot tub is not very big, probably about 6 feet in diameter. It is really warm and always busy. Nice though at sunset!!

HI! Sorry I have yet another question, "last minute" panic is starting to set in now!! :rotfl:

I wanted to send my room requests through to the hotel, but can't fax as I don't have one at home, and I fear my work would object to me faxing Florida all the way from the UK on their fax machine!!! Is their an email addess that requests can be sent to instead?
