That's the Second Biggest Double Stroller I've Ever Seen- A Dec 2010 TR

Aren't they just so cute in their stroller?

Although nothing tops MK and Epcot in our books, AK is heads above the Studios in our book and we find we end up spending more time there each trip. Can't wait to read more.

I can understand avoiding the buses with a double stroller and two kids. It was a challenge to board the bus and avoid being too annoying to other guests and all we had was a single stroller and baby. Plus, we had six other people in our group willing to help with bags. Our next trip is going to be an adventure when it's just us and our daughter, but I think (hope?) we can manage. :)

I love your first park choice! To me, AK is the park that feels the most "Disney-ish." (Aside from MK, of course.)
Your two boys look so happy to be there!

He has the book just in case I'm sure :rotfl: but Disney World is too exciting for that!!

I cannot imagine trying to transport children with the bus system!!

Our next trip will be the first time with a stroller and I think we are going to walk too. We always rent a car and the tram just doesn't seem worth saving the extra steps!

Landon is utterly adorable, peeking out from behind his pillow!

And Carter bringing a book...too funny! I used to get yelled at as a kid because I could never stop reading my books when we were on vacation!

Can't wait to hear about your Animal Kingdom adventures.

Glad the car ride was uneventful. It's amazing how a few timely snacks make trips so much better. ;)

What a great way to start your trip...AK. We love just taking our time exploring there. The weather looks good too. Completely understand about not wanting to try the buses. We just had our first trip without the stroller and while it was great on the buses, we really missed the storage, especially for sweatshirts.

We always drive and skip the trams as well, I can totally understand why you do this with kids as we do it and we are all adults!

Sometimes, I like walking past all the people in line for the tram and getting to the front of the park before them. Other times, I watch them enviously, smug in their comfy seats, as I plod all the way out to Giraffe 62, pushing the stroller.

I really love AK too, although I don't have one park I have to go to first. It is a wonderful thing to walk in- the music there is especially soothing and inviting at the same time.

I love the music at AK. I think it might be one of my favorite things about AK.

I do find them very cute in their stroller!

I find the more time I spend at AK, the more I like being there. We love MK and Epcot, too. We liked the Studios a lot more before we had kids and we could spend the whole day riding the Tower of Terror and the Rock N Roller Coaster.

I do think the buses would be manageable with only one baby. If one person could manage the stroller and bags, and leave the other free to take care of the baby, it would probably be fine. Once my boys are big enough that one person can handle both of them on a bus, or we can downsize to two umbrella strollers, then I think we could manage it.

AK is the number one park alphabetically in the World! I love starting there. When I look at it analytically, attraction for attraction, I can see that other parks are probably superior, but I always have a lot of fun at AK.

You know, I think maybe he didn't realize we were going to a park. After all, it was the first time and I might not have explained what we were doing clearly enough.

Most nights, I was very glad to not be waiting in the massive lines for a bus!

Our next trip will be the first time with a stroller and I think we are going to walk too. We always rent a car and the tram just doesn't seem worth saving the extra steps!

With a stroller, I do think walking ends up being the easiest. And usually the fastest, too. Once, in May, Jeremy pushed Carter in the stroller and Landon and I took the tram, just for an experiment and he got there way before I did.

Landon is utterly adorable, peeking out from behind his pillow!

I love Landon's smile in that picture. He looks so happy.

I used to bring a book everywhere. We have this one picture from when I was a teenager and my family chartered a fishing boat and everyone was catching sharks and puffer fish and I was reading a Nero Wolfe book.

I never leave home with a can of Gerber Lil' Crunchies. Carter and Landon both love them.

The weather was beautiful that day. It was nice to have a warm day in the beginning. It will be so nice when the boys are big enough to do without a stroller. I'll carry everybody's sweatshirts!:rotfl:

And as our kids got older and therefore I got older, I can't handle Rock N Roller anymore. :rotfl::rotfl: And I didn't even get to do TOT which is my favorite ride in September because my DH had surgery and couldn't ride it. But I now have a ticker for this year and TOT will be on my list of must do's. :goodvibes

Joining in a bit late here! Lovin' on your posting style. Can't wait to hear about the rest!!

Aw. How awesome is that your husband is slinging your son! :lovestruc

I agree about the buses. The only time we've ever been able to make them work for us is when we were wearing the kid/s. There is nothing quite so horrible as taking children towards the tram/bus in the stroller where they've finally passed out. Then had to wake them up because you have to fold the stroller, baby supplies, etc.. and have them be extremely cranky.

Hi! Never too late to join in!

Yes, Jeremy is an awesome dad. My little boys are very lucky.

I don't think there is much worse that having to wake up a baby at any time. We always say- you wake 'em, you take 'em.

Loving your report so far! Your boys have such pretty eyes, they are gonna break lots of hearts with them.

Ooh Ooh! Do you remember where you got the pretzel from? My Hubby had one at the Magic Kingdom (at the Lunching Pad, I think) and loved it. He would be thrilled if he could have them at more than one park!

Edited to add: Oh, and my little one, C, has never had bug bites! We might have to try them!

I got one of the jalapeno pretzaels in World Showcase. It was the stand that, if you're facing the American Adventure, is just to the left of it.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I really want to try that pretzel in May, it sounds really yummy!

We liked it a lot. It will probably be one of those things we get every trip now.

We got it at the Harambe Fruit Market, right in front of the Safari.

We also found them at a snack stand on Discovery Island.

Jeremy will be so glad to hear this! I suspect he chose to return to Animal Kingdom several times, solely to get another pretzel.

Yum! That pretzel sounds delicious!

What are Bug Bites?

Bug Bites are little graham crackers in fun bug shapes. They claim to be enriched with calcium and made with whole grain, in order to help mothers feel better about feeding their kids cookies.

I got them from Target and packed some for Carter every day. I don't think they sell them at Disney.

Thank you so much for posting about those doors at CSR! I had totally forgotten about the trouble we had with them, even considering giving CSR another try. My little guys were the exact same way. I think dh ended up using a belt or a bag to hold the doors together? :confused3 Hope you didn't have anymore trouble with 'em!

Sounds like you're having a great time at AK! You threw me with the bug bites thing, too. :rotfl:

I tried tying the doors together with a towel, but it didn't really work. I think some of those baby-proofing locks would be fine if we ever stay there again.

I guess Bug Bites aren't that popular. Carter loves them!
