That's the Second Biggest Double Stroller I've Ever Seen- A Dec 2010 TR

Hurray! You have arrived! CSR looks great so far. I hope they ask what section we want when we check in, my mom is adamant that she DOES NOT want to stay in Ranchos. I don't see the big deal, the rooms are all the same. :confused3:rolleyes:

In that moment, being with my husband, watching our happy little boys play in this incredible hotel room, I felt like the luckiest person in the world.

Loved reading that!

I'm pretty sure we were in that same building earlier last year! We were first floor with a parking lot view. I love that you were excited over being close to it. We were the exact same way when we parked. :rotfl: We had the worst noise issues in there though. (mostly neighbors' televisions) Hope your stay was better than ours'!

Hi PirateKate!! Glad I found you here!! All caught up with your very good start! You're already checked into a lovely room at CSR, too.

What adorable boys you have. I love their big blue eyes:goodvibes

I am so glad to finally meet someone else that doesn't get Lady Gaga:confused3 I don't really understand her either.

How lucky you are only a 10hr drive from Disney. We would be there all the time if we lived that close:smickey:

Can't wait to read more as we were there the weekend after (12/10-12/14)

The only downside to Ranchos that I could see was that it was a very far walk to El Centro. We really didn't have much reason to go to El Centro, though. Good thing we didn't have refillable mugs.

Luckily, we had no noisy neighbors or any kind of noise problem. The area seemed really quiet. We were probably the noisy neighbors for the poor people staying next to us. :rotfl:

Just found your TR. popcorn:: Your boys are adorable. Can't wait to hear about your trip.

Welcome! Thanks!

Hi! Good to have you! I don't know if that room would have pleased everyone, but we were thrilled with it.

Thanks, I love their eyes, too!

The first time I saw Lady Gaga, she had one eye zippered shut, sort of like that movie, Coraline, where they have buttons for eyes.:scared1: That pretty much did it for me...

Wow, I never really considered ten hours to be close before. I think it is about the furthest away from Disney I have lived. :rotfl:

I'm so in..great trip report thus far!!

Hi! Welcome!

They say that every black cloud has a silver lining. Well, our room at Coronado Springs was more like a shiny, sparkly, magical silver cloud with a tiny black lining.

I was watching the boys in the room as Jeremy left to carry in all our stuff. At first everything was fine. Landon was crawling around happily and Carter was running around with his two best friends, Blue Dog and Bear.

And then, the black lining reared its ugly head. Carter discovered the sliding doors that separate the vanity area from the rest of the room.

I watched him close the doors and get frustrated when he was unable to open them again. I suggested that maybe he find something else to do. He pretended he hadn't understood me. Eventually, he managed to get them open again and he giggled maniacally.

More playtime ensued and I hoped the fun with doors was over. No such luck.

I saw Landon sitting in the middle of the doors and saw Carter run over to play with the doors. I called upon my motherly superpowers and I rushed to Landon's rescue in just enough time.

"Carter, we don't close doors on Landon."

Carter walked into the vanity area and closed the doors. I figured everyone is entitled to privacy.

Two seconds later, I heard Carter crying. I opened the doors to see what had happened and was surprised to find him in the dark. I walked over to the light switch and turned it on for him.

"There you go, Carter. Now you won't be in the dark."

He squealed and ran over the light switch and turned it off again. Unfortunately, he wasn't quite tall enough to turn it back on and he was unable to resist the allure of a light switch and he didn't like being in the dark.

Just then, Jeremy brought in the last load and I explained the issue of the sliding doors.

As always, Jeremy knew just how to fix it. "Let's go to one of the parks."

We got our stuff together and headed out.

I LOVE Jeremy's "fix it."

Boys will be boys. :goodvibes

Haha! I love Jeremy's solution to the sliding door issue! :rotfl:

I hope it was a lasting solution!

Your kids are SO CUTE. And I'm enjoying your narrative. I will be reading along!

(Pretty new to posting here, as you can see. I browse the boards from time to time -- like now, since I've just started to plan a February trip on a whim -- and I've decided to finally start participating.)

Hee Hee, nice "fix" for the door problem! Can't wait to see what park you get to!

Jeremy can fix anything. He's a genius. :wizard:

Surprisingly, it was a lasting solution! The doors never seemed to torment Carter quite as much as they did that morning. He still played with them, but refrained from crying when he couldn't get them to do what he wanted. And he didn't try and shut the doors on Landon again.

Welcome and thanks! So exciting about your February trip! I love deciding to go to Disney on a whim. We once decided Friday at noon to pack up and drive to Disney for the weekend. No regrets!

I can't believe I have gotten this far into the TR and haven't actually made it to the parks yet! I'll definitely get us in the parks next time I post.

That is certaintly the best solution to the sliding door problem! :rotfl:

I know! I was thinking we'd have to go and buy some baby-proof door locks or something, but going to the parks was much more fun!

Your boys are cuties!!

Thanks!

Your boys are darling. Looking forward to reading the rest :)

Thanks! Glad to have you!

:cutie: Adorable!

Can't wait to see how they react to the parks! :wizard:

I love watching my boys enjoy the parks! :cloud9:

We always drive and skip the trams as well, I can totally understand why you do this with kids as we do it and we are all adults!

I really love AK too, although I don't have one park I have to go to first. It is a wonderful thing to walk in- the music there is especially soothing and inviting at the same time.
