That's the Second Biggest Double Stroller I've Ever Seen- A Dec 2010 TR

Have to say, I agree with you on a lot of Disney-related stuff. Norway is one of the most awesome stops on the WS tour. I'm glad to hear Landon enjoyed Maelstorm, I wouldn't thought someone so young would like drops. It sounds like you have a future thrill ride junkie on your hands!

I can't wait til Landon is forty inches! I bet he will love roller coasters. He's so funny, whenever he falls down and I rush over to pick him up, he always just giggles and gets back up himself.

Hi Kate! I just picked up your TR yesterday and I'm all caught up. Your family is just adorable and your writing style is so sweet and funny. :goodvibes

I'll go ahead and admit that I'll probably just follow the links and I'll miss a lot of the conversation, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm here and looking forward to reading more. :thumbsup2

Hi! Thanks for posting! I understand about using the links. That's what they are there for. :rotfl:

You got some really beautiful pictures of Norway, and I have to tell ya, I could live at the Kringla! They have GREAT lattes, and snacks!

Mexico is a fun way to spend a little while too. I doesn't surprise me that the boys loved the Donald Duck ride.

I think you'd be surprised at the menu at Akershus. We had a VERY yummy meatloaf like meal there, and the salmon sandwich is fabulous. The salad buffet does have herring in sour cream, but most of the stuff on it is pretty normal, like cheeses and fruit and macaroni salad.

It was such a lovely day, the pictures couldn't help but be beautiful. We liked Kringla a lot, but I have to admit, I'd have to pick the Karamelle Kuche to live at.

It is interesting that the only two rides in World Showcase are right next door to each other. Mexico and Norway are definitely the most kid-friendly countries.

The salmon sandwich does sound good, and I'd even be willing to give herring in sour cream a go. On a side note- is it true that they eat shuzhuk in Kazakhstan?

I run to try and balance out my natural laziness :rotfl: I agree the best thing about Disney is the every current moment you are there, and then coming home planning for a new trip, and going again!!

I have always wanted to try a princess breakfast, you guys should do it!!

Unless, of course, the current moment is that moment when you see the See You Real Soon sign and it is all over. That's the worst moment.

Jeremy and I will go someday. I would hate to subject the boys to lipstick kisses. :rotfl:

Loving your trip report. My family will be returning to Disney this spring with two todllers (ages 1 & 3), two pregnant mommies, and two daddies to keep things fun. We may not hit every park (which will be a scary first for me.) What ones have been the best/ most fun for Carter? By the way, your boys are just too cute!!

Wow, two toddlers and two pregnant mommies! I'd definitely include an afternoon nap!

The worst park for Carter is definitely DHS. Rides like the Great Movie Ride and Backlot tours are too long and slow to keep his attention. He doesn't like any of the shows either. So he's basically left with Honey I Shrunk the Playground, which he likes, but Jeremy and I tire of quickly or Toy Story Mania, which is difficult because of the long lines and scarcity of Fastpasses.

All the other three parks are great for Carter. There is plenty of things that we can all do and he has always has a good time. Probably the Magic Kingdom is his favorite, but Epcot and Animal Kingdom are good for him, too.

Question...do you know the exact name of the caramel bars? I want to be sure I get one in June! I have a norweigian sweater (I got mine at a Scandinavian shop near my house). It's lovely!!! I hear you on the norweigian food. I'm Swedish and have to suffer through traditional food at christmas. I douse most in ketchup, which is scoffed at by the "elders" of my family:laughing:.

"Werther's Chewy Caramel Bar". It was the chewy that threw me off. I expected it to be the sort of chewy that sticks to your teeth and requires ten minutes of chewing.

I always think a Norwegian sweater must be really warm since it is so cold in Norway! There were a few days on our trip I was very tempted to buy one.

:rotfl: Ketchup on the Swedish food at Christmas! Maybe the red of the ketchup adds a holiday festiveness?

I started my PTR if you want to join (PLEASE? hint hint!) :) The link is in my signature. Not sure if this breaks any unspoken DIS rules. Hopefully the TR Gods won't strike me down. :scared1:

awwww.. I love Dash's favorite. How sweet!

Great updates! I really love your pics. The sky was super gorgeous. :thumbsup2 I'll agree with all the thoughts on the menu at Akershus.

Can't wait to read more! I kinda fell behind, but have to say that "Living with the Landon" might've just had me cracking up.. :rotfl:

Consider it done! I would love to join in. I'm very curious about your traveling party of thirty...:)

Great report, I love reading reports with small kids in it gives me plenty of great ideas and reminds me of the things I should and shouldn't do.

Lovely cute boys you have, I really think there are only two cuter in the world ;) you may disagree :goodvibes

Caramel chewy bar on the list now. Good job I am losing weight now as it will probably all go back on again when I get there.

Thanks! The sky was amazing that day. I think I had fallen behind on your TR, too. So many TR's to read and only so many hours of naptime...

I get so many ideas from other trip reports, too. It would be interesting if we all starting adding footnotes to our TRs to cite where we got different ideas from. :rotfl:

Thanks! I will gladly accept second cutest. It's funny, I never really understood how every single mother could be convinced hers is most beautiful until I had my own boys.

I hope you like the Chewy Caramel Bars. I loved them. Definitely worth any potential weight gain. :thumbsup2

Great updates! Reading your trip report always makes me smile. I agree that the best way to ride Soarin is with no shoes.

I love reading your TR! As everyone else has said, your boys are adorable! I remember feeding my 5 year old Bug Bites when he was younger. Come to think of it, both boys would probably still like them!

How lucky you were to see DeVine! We didn't see her on either trip.

As someone who traveled to Norway and toured like a local (thanks to my sister, who spent a year of college there), I would advise you to skip Akershus unless you're fond of odd meat dishes. If you can get past the price tags, buy a sweater! I have two (I splurged, knowing I'll probably never go back to Norway) and they're in great shape 15 years later.

Can't wait to read more!

Um, can Pappy come on my trip with me and get Claire to take naps?

YAY for getting to ride Soarin. I love that ride!

The key to successfully touring Disney World with a group lies in knowing when to split up.

I whole heartedly agree with this statement! :thumbsup2 Unfortunately, it has taken me all to many trips to figure this out!

Thanks! I will admit, there has been a time or two when I ate some Bug Bites myself. :rotfl:

I don't know if there are too many people who are fond of odd meat dishes. I think I might get a sweater next time.:thumbsup2

A slow boat ride with Pappy never fails!

I was fifteen when we first went with a group and we split up at will, usually into thrill riders and non thrill riders. We'd all meet up again at some point and it all worked out great.

Funny how the same sign can be really great or really terrible depending which way you are going.

Aw dang, still no Blue Dog. And I just might add that 45 minutes on hold is the uttermost of ridiculous!! I mean it! That is just bad service any way you look at it!

Good move on the switch to the other place to eat! I a'fear you might have faced a meltdown had you waited any longer. :guilty:

Riding the segway sounds like fun!

I can not believe you were on hold for 45 minutes with lost and found! And still no blue dog. :sad2:

Carter was quite the snoozer, wasn't he?

Good call on switching your plans to Captain Cooks. :thumbsup2

We were really happy with Captain Cooks. I love any excuse to visit the Polynesian Resort.

I couldn't believe they didn't have him! Any dog as dirty and worn as Blue Dog should have been recognized as beloved and turned in immediately.

I don't know what was going on with the Lost and Found Center either. After thirty minutes, I began to suspect that they were insincere when they claimed my call was important to them.

I agree we were in a meltdown danger zone. Just as well it was avoided. I'm sure it would have been me melting down and I would have felt silly having a meltdown in front of a two year old.

The Segway was fun. I sort of want to do the Segway tour of Epcot someday now. I bet I could go pretty fast on that. Except I wouldn't want to get up early to do it.

I was a bit disappointed with the Lost and Found Center. After being on hold that long, they should have at least had our missing item.

I couldn't believe Carter slept so long! I guess he was tired. Toward the end, I had to keep looking at him, to make sure he was still breathing. :rotfl:

Love, love, love your trip report :) Can't wait to read more!

Thanks! :)
