That's the Second Biggest Double Stroller I've Ever Seen- A Dec 2010 TR

Oh, what a sweet hubby having you call to see if you could stay at CSR. :)

And how even sweeter that he said to plan an October trip when it is warmer. We've been in Florida in October and it ranges from 90 to 75 -- you just never know, but it is definitely warmer than what you experienced on your winter trip.

I'm really enjoying the Christmas party updates. It looks like it is a lot of fun. My wife is a big Princess and the Frog fan, she's been watching it a lot the past few weeks. I've got to admit, I kind of like it too, it is very typical of the classic Disney animation that we really haven't seen much of the past few years. Your artistic rendering of your meeting with Tiana and Naveen is very well done!

Aww, how sweet of your DH, trying to extend your resort stay and giving you the go-ahead for another trip. I think knowing that another trip is in store really helps cheer you up when your current trip is almost up.

The Christmas party sounded great. I can only imagine how nice it was to stroll down Main Street, watching the snow fall, and eating Christmas cookies. Hope you guys were able to relive the whole experience again the next night! :rotfl:

It was very sweet of Jeremy to fix everything for me. He always knows just what to do.

I think I could deal with 75. Just not highs of 49. I do hope it is warm enough to swim, though. I think the boys would have had more fun in December if they could have had a few afternoons at the pool.

The Christmas party was a lot of fun. I think you all will have a good time, if you decide to go. I meant to watch Princess and the Frog last Tuesday for Mardi Gras, but then the day slipped by and I completely forgot. I love Anika Noni Rose's voice. And it is nice to see a regularly animated movie instead of all the CGI stuff they mostly do these days.

Thanks! I was so disappointed when we lost those pictures, but I think I captured the spirit of the event pretty well. And I guess it's a good excuse to meet Tiana again. :thumbsup2

Knowing we had another trip coming up definitely helped with the trip ending. I think we've got some really good ideas on how to improve the trip experience in Oct. And the boys being six months older will help a lot, too.

The Christmas party was super and I did love walking down Main St in the snow. Sadly, we didn't even come close to recovering the cost of our party tickets in cookies. I think we ended up under ten cookies, total, and that includes the one Carter ate. :rotfl:

I love that you went and saw Tiana and Naveen...I'm a firm believer in "you're never too old for a picture with whoever you want";)

The next morning, we woke up bright and early. I had scheduled a wake up call at a reasonable time, so that we could make a valiant effort to extend our stay at Coronado Springs and have enough time to pack up and leave by check out time, if our efforts weren't successful.

I tried to remind myself that it was probably a long shot. I knew the resort was pretty full and they probably wouldn't have any last minute availability.

I decided to start with the front desk. I dialed the phone and spoke to a CM about our situation.

The CM was very sympathetic and checked to see if there were any rooms available. "I'm not showing any availability...But if we do have anything open up, it would be later this morning that we would know that. I can call you back to let you know for sure."

"Okay, that sounds great. Thank you!"

I told Jeremy what had happened and we agreed that it would be prudent to proceed as though we were going to leave. We got to work getting the boys ready and packing.

Landon got hungry for his breakfast, so I took a break from packing to feed him.

Carter fed Blue Dog while I fed Landon. Carter likes to have someone to take care of when I'm busy with Landon.

Landon actually managed to eat neatly this time and finished his bowl happily.

Blue Dog was done eating, too. Carter was pleased with his feeding skills.

The phone rang. It would be the front desk, calling back to say we could stay longer, I just knew it.

"Hello?"

"This is your wake-up call."

Drat. It wasn't even a good wake-up call either. It was a real live CM.

I said something and hung up.

Back to packing. The boys were being good as gold this morning. There was no bickering or getting underfoot. A few requests for drink refills or snacks, but that was it.

The phone rang again. This was it! We wouldn't have to leave after all.

"Hello?"

Dead silence. Not that again.

"Jeremy, do you think I should call back and ask again?"

"No. I think we should just leave. They're not really going to come up with a room for us. That CM probably forgot and is not going to call back at all."

I glanced around at the room, all packed up and ready to go.

"Well, I guess we can just go. We've already packed, so we may as well."

"It won't be so bad. We'll have a full kitchen and some extra room at Extended Stay. And in October, you can book a moderate resort for the full time from the beginning."

"That's true. In October, we'll do it all right."

Jeremy made several trips to load the car and finally, we all left our room at Coronado Springs. It was sad, but not too sad. We did still have two park days left.

Jeremy stopped off at El Centro, to make sure everything was fine with our checking out and no one would be trying to find us a room when we were already gone.

We drove to Extended Stay and got checked in and unpacked. It really wasn't so bad. This room seemed nicer than our Extended Stay room had the first night.

Landon got a crib instead of a Pack N Play and we had a big refrigerator and the boys had more room for crawling and playing.

We didn't stay too long, though. Hanging around a resort is fine, if it is Disney, but we didn't want to waste any more of our Disney time hanging around off site.

We got our park stuff together and left to have some more fun.

I love the pics of the boys with their big smiles. I'm sorry CSR didn't have a room for you so you didn't have to move, but it sounds like the room was better this time.

I'm really glad we went to see Tiana and Naveen, too. I guess they've probably had people older than me meet them before. I might even go see them again someday. :)

Thanks, they do have great smiles, don't they?

It would have been nice if CSR had had a room for us, but I guess it all worked out for the best. On our May trip, we split our stay between Extended Stay and All Star Sports and we were happy to check back into Extended Stay, since the All Star room felt so cramped. Compared to CSR, Extended Stay wasn't nearly as nice. Next time, we'll check into one resort and stay there. :thumbsup2

Great updates!!! Love the new pics of the kids (and jeremy), of course! I just had to tell you that my kids have officially gotten the vinylmation bug. Sophie had been talking about it since we saw them at the Disney Store a few weeks ago. We were going to the mall tonight anyway and decided to let Her spend some of her disney gift card money on one. Well, once we let her do that, of course the boys wanted in on the action! It just so happens they were having a vinylmation promo! Spend $20, get a vinylmation for $5. We ended up preordering Tangled, getting soph's vinylmation along with two reusable shopping bags and got 2 $5 vinylmations!!! Can't beat 3 vinylmations for $20! I'm planning on posting all this and what they are on my PTR soon. I'll give you a teaser though...when Ethan opened his, the cast members when bonkers! Apparently, his is rare! And his first words were, "I wanna trade it.". I guess he "gets" how it works! :lmao:

I loved hearing about how you guys came up with the idea for your next trip, and that it was Jeremy's suggestion! :cool1: I always talk to Brandon while we're in Disney about our next trip, but he doesn't want to hear it while we're there. There was an exception on our November trip, when he agreed to come back in May for our 1 year anniversary, but that didn't last very long. :(

I really wanted to meet Tiana and Naveen too, but I felt too stupid. I know they must be used to adults meeting them all the time, but I always feel strange, meeting the ones who can actually talk to! I'm glad they were so nice to you, now maybe I'll be more brave next time!

I'm sorry CSR didn't have any room for you guys, but you're new room doesn't sound too bad!

Sorry you had to check out of CSR, but I have to say that a full-sized crib and more crawling/play space sounds pretty good!!
And another trip?? Awesome!:yay:

Oh, I know all about the $5 vinylmations! I got three more, myself. :rotfl: I've only opened two boxes so far. I picked all Toy Story boxes, hoping for a Buzz Lightyear. So far, I have one Big Baby and one Wheezy. I'm saving the third box for a rainy day. I'm eager to see what rare one Ethan got. Maybe he got a Buzz Lightyear. But I wouldn't think he'd want to trade a Buzz, with that really cool helmet.

I actually felt a little bit silly, planning my next vacation while I was still there, but it was really fun. And it does help whenever Jeremy suggests a Disney trip. This is the second time that a trip was his idea. I'm pretty sure he only suggests it to be nice, but I'll take it. :rotfl:

I think Tiana and Naveen being face characters and able to talk was part of what made me nervous to meet them. I guess when they cast those characters they would want to get people who are friendly and easy to talk to. You should go meet them next time. :thumbsup2

It really wasn't too bad of a room. I think I just wanted to stay onsite. And not pack up and unpack again. But it all worked out just fine.

Sorry you had to check out of CSR, but I have to say that a full-sized crib and more crawling/play space sounds pretty good!!

I'm sure Landon was happy to get a crib to sleep in. And Carter had plenty of exploring to do in the room. And we spent most of our last two days out in the parks, so it really didn't end up mattering any. Next time, though, we won't do any more changing resorts. It will be our best trip ever! :woohoo:

Your boys are just too adorable! I love all these cute pics of them bundled up.

Sucks about the cold. That can really bring things down, especially with little ones. I hope your October trip will be warmer. It can really go both ways that time of year, but isn't anything like December!

So glad you stopped to see Tiana! That pic is great! :rotfl:

What's with a real CM doing a wake up call? That sucks! We always seem to get Stitch though, so maybe a live CM wouldn't be too bad. ;) Sad that you weren't able to extend your stay there, but it gives you something special in planning for the next one! Hope you're planning another TR, too!

I am just in awe that Jeremy said, "Next time..." WOW! I 'd never hear those words! Lucky Ducky! And 2 days left is certainly better than no days left at an On-Prop. place.

Just saw your TR. My boys are close in age too. They are 18 months and 2 1/2 And we are staying at CSR late spring. Can't wait to read. Although I am late to the party.

Thanks! They were never happy to get bundled up, but they were okay with it once we got outside. I didn't realize how much the cold weather would affect the trip. I had been in the cold before, but never with babies. I hate having to guess if they are too cold or not. Hopefully October will be warm.

I wish I had my real picture from meeting Tiana, but I am pretty pleased with my artwork. :rotfl:

I don't know what was going on with the wake up calls that week. I'm just glad my boys were too little to understand what was going on. It would have been sad if I had talked up getting a special wake up call and then had it not be special at all. I like the Stitch wake up call. :goodvibes

I am having a fun time planning the next trip. It's longer to wait, but it's also longer to plan and think. I have high hopes for this trip. Landon will be walking and eating all table food and Carter should be talking well enough to communicate. I'll probably want to write another TR. As long as I can remember to take enough pictures. Maybe I need to buy a second battery for the camera...

I was a little surprised myself. Jeremy does like our trips almost as much as I do, but I really wasn't expecting to get another trip in the works so fast. Very lucky, indeed. We ended up having a really nice two days. And I've already got the full week booked at CBR, so no more moving around. :woohoo:

Hi! Isn't it fun having two boys close in age? I love how they can play together and hopefully grow up being friends. We loved being at CSR. I guess we must have to want to stay our two more days. :rotfl: It's such a beautiful resort.

Thanks for reading! Latecomers are always welcome. :)

Having 2 boys close in age is fun. Someone asked me yesterday if my two got along well, and it was so nice to honestly say yes! They are getting to the wrestling age, which is making my hair turn white, I think, but in all, they play so nice. Word of advice...no matter how fun you think light sabers might be for the boys to have, don't do it. I guarantee they will end up hidden on top of the refrigerator like mine are. :rotfl:

Been there sister! We only have one. It is on top of the big cabinet in the garage. :scared1:

It is fun. I caught up quickly last night. I was hysterical with your comment about parking for people with kids so close in ages. With the 3 so close in age we get a lot of comments like "Well, you are done now, right?" That is so irritating. I think people should put us on a pedestal like we deserve. Or maybe our kids could just puke on us a little less. Something! Right now B and C fight a lot. There is a lot of toy grabbing, punching and sitting on each other. That gets old. I really hope they can fall asleep. We took a tandem stroller last time (for Abby 4 and Brady 1) and they are so hard to navigate. this time we are renting a BOB stroller. I am hoping it works out. Our chico double is awful. The boys can get it to hop, they drag their feet or hands and it is now impossible to push. Loved it when I first got it. Hate it now. We are also hoping ot rely on our baby ergo a lot.

I had thought that they would look really cute, little Jedi warriors with light sabers, but I'm definitely having second thoughts now. :rotfl: We already have one toy that always ends up on top of the refrigerator and we don't need to add two light sabers to the collection.

We actually don't get anyone thinking we should be done now. We get an awful lot of people expecting us to have a third. I guess because we had the first two so close together, they expect another one close in age, too. I always find it really annoying when we tell people we are done with having kids and they say you never know. We absolutely know. It would be nicer to say how great two boys are. :rotfl:

I have been having the worst time with strollers, too. I just got two Graco Ipos, and I do really like them, but they don't work with my stroller connectors. The wheels get caught on each other and it's too wide to fit through most doors and aisles. The boys both love riding in them and it's great if I have another person to push one. Otherwise, I guess I'm still stuck with my front to back stroller.

Bob strollers look really nice. I bet that will work out pretty well. :thumbsup2
