That's the first time we had to wear a poncho in Disney! A Mar./April '11 TR DONE 9/5

I love your random Fantasyland pictures. I miss the sky ride from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland, but I'm so glad they kept the landscaping there. It sure makes a pretty picture.

The tea cup pics are good! Glad you got to go on Peter Pan. It's one of our favorites!

7 hours?!?! OK, now that's a little ridiculous. That's like your whole park day!! Crazy.

If someone waited 7 hours I hope they used a "tag team" to hold the spot in line.

I'm still considering doing a trip report for our trip (2 weeks before Sarah's), but while Emma waited out her 75 minutes in line her Mom and I went to get FP's for Splash Mountain, and then rode IASW and Haunted Mansion. When we were done with those, Mom went back to check on Emma and I went over to Thunder Mountain to get FP's there because the return time for Splash was approaching. While I was standing by the FP kiosk to wait for the last minute to tick off to open up my FP window, a cast member asked what I was doing and then just pushed a button and gave me the FP's without scanning my tickets. So, before going back to meet up with Emma I went and got FP's for Buzz too. Even though she waited over an hour to meet the characters the time wasn't a complete waste because when she got off we had 3 good FP's to use for some of her favorite attractions.

I am having some definite Disney Withdrawal with no upcoming vacation scheduled! :confused3  So I am loving your report! Thanks!!!!!:lovestruc

BATB is an awesome show! I saw it on Broadway, it was done so well. I like it even better than the movie since there are more songs. :)

Five rides by 9am....only for us smart DISers! :thumbsup2

Yeah, it seems most of our pictures tend to be of the random variety rather than what we actually do. haha

Peter Pan is a classic. Our dad always tells us how it's one he remembers the most from when he went to Disneyland.

That is true. But still 7 hours is a looong time.

Waiting to see if you do a TR...

Aww, we all know what Disney withdrawl is like! Glad you are enjoying my report. :)

It really was a good show! Glad we got to see it.

haha, yup! :thumbsup2

Happy Thursday everyone!! It is actually happy because it's really like a Friday...no school tomorrow so we have a 3-day weekend (still bitter we have to go to school on Monday though...oh well). Time for another update!

Sunday, March 27, 2011 cont'd (part 3)

After our cruise through the jungle, we somehow ended up back in Fantasyland. Hoping to continue our good luck, we found ourselves wanting to go on another cruise...this time, the happiest cruise that ever set sail. Yep, it's a small world. :) When we were there in August, the ride was closed for refurbs and I guess what they were doing was switching the way the queue works. You know how you used to load on the side closer to the ride entrance and exit on the far side? Well, it's now the opposite. So now you go in to the far side and load over there (does that make any sense?).

There was one thing that really annoyed me about this ride and no, it wasn't the singing dolls. There was this woman in front of us with two small kids and her big camera. I swear, this woman must've taken atleast 10 pictures OF HER KIDS on the ride! Really?! As you know, I tend to not take ride pictures because I don't want to annoy anyone else (or get yelled at by CMs, haha) so that was just really odd. How many pictures of your kids on small world do you really need? :confused3 I do have one picture of the end since I love that last room. And I figured it wasn't going to hurt anyone if I used my flash one time...

We also had this really cute little girl behind us who was saying where all the dolls were from and then I heard one of those "funniest things you overheard in Walt Disney World". She said to her mom and dad, "my favorite islands are Hawaii and Canada." :rotfl:The mother was pretty much like, umm...Canada's not an island. :rotfl: Gotta love kids.

Since we were near the entrance to Liberty Square (again) we thought it would be a good time to visit the Haunted Mansion.

The wait was its typical not-crowded 13-minute wait. It looked like they're doing something with the queue there too because there were all kinds of boards up. The ride was fun as usual. Claire took a couple parting shots of the mansion...

So by now, we had pretty much done all the major attractions except for Pirates of the Caribbean. We walked back over there, hoping it would be running now.

Sure enough it was! The only bad thing: right as we got there, there was a huge school group, like one of the bands there for the Magic Music Days. It looked like they were just about to split up so of course there were tons of those kids right in front of us (they seemed really young, so I'm wondering if it was a middle school band??). Some of them were slightly obnoxious, running through the line to catch up with their friends. When we got on our boat, Claire and I were the only ones not part of their group. I think that bummed some of them out. So then we get to the part right at the beginning with the fog screen and they all thought it was water so they were reaching up and waving their hands at it. Best part though was when one of the CMs came on over the speakers and yelled at them for shrieking so loud. Yes, it was an interesting ride to say the least.

When we got off we noticed that Pirate Goofy was making an appearance. The line was pretty short so we had to stop for a picture.

By that time, we were starting to get pretty hungry so it was time to grab some lunch. Just to recap, for any naysayers about early opening, this is what we accomplished in a little over 3 hours (I checked my camera...the picture with Goofy was taken at 11:11 am):
-Space Mountain
-Buzz Lightyear
-Tomorrowland Speedway
-Mad Tea Party
-Peter Pan
-Splash Mountain
-Thunder Mountain
-Jungle Cruise
-Pirates of the Caribbean
-Haunted Mansion
-it's a small world

Not bad if you ask me. :thumbsup2

up next: some more MK fun and Alooooooha!

That is so great you were able to hit so many rides in 3 hours! The only thing better than being at Disney is being at Disney without crowds :thumbsup2

I love the picture with Pirate Goofy! He's so cute :)

Wow! I can't believe how much you got done. I don't think I've ever done that even during the off months. Wow! (I think I'm starting overuse that world LOL). Awesome pictures of the Haunted Mansion. :goodvibes And really? TEN PICTURES OF HER KIDS ON ONE RIDE! I mean seriously. I went to Disney for my first time almost exactly a year ago and my mom didn't really take pictures on rides. If she did, there was no flash and probably only one picture and we did see people taking flash pictures left-and-right (ruined our ride on The Seas with Nemo & Friends)... Don't get it... I guess some people don't understand the meaning of "NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY!" A little wiggle-room in that, but yeah, cameras remain in bags. I can't wait to hear about how much more you got done, sounds like a lot more to be done... Update soon! :mickeyjum

Wow you got a ton of things done!!!! I agree, you can only have so many pics of IASW! I usually just take one or two now but it's hard to cut yourself off!

I'm definitely a pro-morning person when it comes to Disney. It's true you can get lots done at park opening before the crowds build. Ugh, those school groups are a major pain sometimes. Sorry to hear they put a damper on PoTC. Speaking of people taking pictures with flash, I was on Haunted Mansion and the creepy dude was doing his recorded spiel of "No Flash pictures please!" but this woman in front of us continued to take a bazillion pictures using flash. I could've killed her. When I got off the ride, I heard her speak Spanish to her family so clearly, she hadn't understood the announcement. Oh well. I just hopped on again to have a better ride!

Wow you got so much done before 11:00! :cool1: Pirate Goofy is so cute, I always want to get a pic with him, but the line is always so long! :confused3

I didn't get to go on IASW on my last trip, so I didn't see the new queue, but I'm definitely going on it in October! My DH refused to go on it, he HATES IASW, but I like it, it's such a classic!

7 hours?!?! OK, now that's a little ridiculous. That's like your whole park day!! Crazy.

I can't even sit 10 minutes in a line and then I start looking at my watch. If it goes past 30 minutes I wonder what I was thinking.

You guys did really great on your first morning.
You can imagine how freaked out I was going to the MK at 3:00 p.m.
I kept thinking what a waste of a day-but the rain sent everyone back
to their hotel or resorts and the park was like a EMH the whole rest of the day.

I still love the early mornings though.

Waiting to see if you do a TR...

I actually started writing it out on Word, but it sounds pretty dull. I'll probably keep going to use it as a personal journal, but I'm not sure anyone else would be interested. I would also have to learn how to use Photo Bucket so I can add some of Emma's pictures to spice up the report if I do post it.

And that wasn't even technically an early opening because there were no EMH. I really love those 7 AM openings with AM EMH.

that is a lot. makes me want to consider going for AM emh even though it technically wasnt a emh. my little one is a early riser anyway

:lmao: I love the little girl saying Canada is one of her favorite islands! I always enjoy hearing kids say the funniest things in WDW :cutie:

Ugh I hate being stuck in line behind annoying middle schoolers or high schoolers  It always makes the line seem that much longer :sad2:

Cute picture with Pirate Goofy!

Wow you two did a ton before lunch :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see what the rest of your MK day brings!

I really like how they switched the queueing for IASW. Even though it feels really weird, it does make more sense that you can wait and spend time looking at other people loading their boats. We had a good wait for these past 2 trips, so it gave us something to do.

Haha, love the Hawaii and Canada comment!

What a great morning you had! I remember the good old days when we would go and the crowds would be like that every trip...not so much for us anymore;) Nothing like getting all the rides you want in before noon:rolleyes1

Glad i found your TR! I really enjoyed watching the video you took while at MK because it made me feel like i was there! Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes
