That's the first time we had to wear a poncho in Disney! A Mar./April '11 TR DONE 9/5

I love taking the Friendship boats from DHS to Epcot! If we're going to WS we always take the bus to DHS then the boat...I just love it...and I love it even more if we can get the very back and enjoy the day!! I love your pose at the Boardwalk, it just sums up how we all feel about our happy place:love:

14th - 19th

Love this picture!

So glad the weather was perfect for you your last day after all that stupid rain :goodvibes

Cool. That's right around the time my parents are going to visit my sister.

Glad you liked the picture. It was a beautiful day compared to Thursday!

That looks like such a wonderfully lovely day. I want to be there now!

And yes, a Disney Wedding IS awesome... and it doesn't have to be super expensive either... Ours ended up a few thousand less than it would have been here :cutie:

Getting off my soap box now

Me too. Though I bet it's a lot more humid now than it was then! haha

Oh wow, really? That's awesome you got to get married in WDW AND it was cheaper! :thumbsup2

Love all of the pics you took! It really was a lovely day for beautiful scenery pictures. Cool that you got to see a Disney wedding. It's my dream to have one someday, I think I'd have to skip college though if I were to start saving enough money for one:rotfl:

It was neat to see the wedding party, even if they were just walking by. What a great location for a wedding too.

What a wonderful sunny boat ride!

I love that picture of the studios from the boat!

It sure was sunny! :thumbsup2

Nice boat pics :) A girl that I worked with at BBB got married at BW last weekend. Her reception was at Atlantic Dance Hall..I can't tell you how jealous I was sitting at home and watching her random pics pop up on facebook..ugh! If only!! :)

Oooh, that's cool! I bet it was neat looking at all the pictures. Probably would've been more fun to be there but oh well.

I'm telling you, it just looked beautiful out that day.

I would love to have a Disney wedding myself. That's my dream. :cloud9:

The Butterfinger cupcake is definitely on my list of things to eat at WDW that I have not tried.

It was an absolutely perfect Disney day-the sun was shining and it wasn't too hot.

You should try the cupcake. SOOO good!

Doing a little catching up!:goodvibes Love the updates!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed Chef Mickey's! It's one of our favorites.:thumbsup2 Nick loves their breakfast pizza! But..wow I can't believe how dark it was that morning!:sad2:

Yay! So happy to see some blue skies on your Hollywood Studios day!:thumbsup2 Cute picture with Mike and Sully!:goodvibes Oh and your boat ride pictures are just beautiful!

:woohoo: for your upcoming trips! We decided to head back again next spring for the Flower and Garden Festival too! Can't wait!:yay:

I can see why it's one of your favorites and why so many other people enjoy it.

Thanks for the compliment on the pictures. :)

YAY for going back next spring! Do you know your dates yet? We haven't booked anything yet (probably will in a couple weeks though) but I'm pretty sure my spring break is the week after Easter next year. Maybe we'd end up being there at the same time!

What gorgeous pictures! That the kind of Disney days I want!
The BoardWalk area, is another thing we haven't checked out either. I guess that means we keep going back until I've seen it all!:rotfl2:

 You have to go to the Boardwalk sometime! It's so much fun!

Love the Boardwalk. Looks like you had a nice little visit there.

It was a nice visit. Definitely one of my favorite places on property.

What a gorgeous day!! :cool2: I love the Boardwalk!

I love the Boardwalk too. It amazes me that some people have never been there!

Great pictures with Sulley and Mike! LOL @ the Business Shriek Magazine! I didn't notice that one at first. So funny :D

:thumbsup2 to seeing American Idol again. Love that show! That's so cool you got to see a guy perform. I've never EVER seen a guy perform on AIE. Maybe I need to see it more throughout the day. And actually, I've been to one show where the second person actually won and I voted for her. I think the first person is always the worst in my opinion, no comparison to the second two.

Wow, that cupcake is HUGE, but it looks delicious. I must check out Starring Rolls! :goodvibes

Those views on the Friendship Boats are beautiful! I love the one from the Yacht Club dock. And I totally want to stay at the BoardWalk too. It would be pretty awesome to be able to just walk right to EPCOT. :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Really? It seems like we've seen quite a few guys. Yeah, the majority of the contestants are female but there's been some guys too.

You should try Starring Rolls sometime. I know I will be going back. Gotta try another cupcake now.

My parents and sister stayed there last January and LOVED it. It is a great location being so close to both Epcot and DHS, plus you've got the Boardwalk to explore too. The only bad thing with DVC is that it's hard to get unless it's your home resort (or you don't go at a busy time).

Once again, I was quite a few updates behind! Did you ever find out where Mauston is? We actually stop to eat there fairly often on our drives from Illinois to Minnesota. I've never been into the actual town, but there is a restaurant called Flutterbee's that my Mom loves!

I'm SO glad the rain cleared up for you! Beautiful, beautiful palm tree pictures. And the Boardwalk....:lovestruc Love that pic of you with your arms up, so cute!

And HOORAY for booking a room and a solo trip! :yay: They are fantastic - you'll enjoy it! I'm glad it looks like you'll be getting down there while your sister is in her CP. Has she found out exactly where she will be working yet?

We did end up looking up where Mauston was but now I forgot.

I knew you'd appreciate the Boardwalk pictures. ;)

I am excited too to have another trip in the works. And no, she won't find out where she's working until she checks in. Only two weeks to go!

The boat ride is so much fun. I think I like it more though, coming from the BW/BC/YC because that first glimpse you get of the park is so exciting. It's like you don't see anything and then all of a sudden there's all the attractions!

I think that's one of my favorite pictures from the trip, if for no other reason than it was sunny! haha

Wow I love all your pictures you took from the boats!

Thanks Sara. :)

I'm so behind... going to catch up on your TR!

I love your boat pictures! I so want to take one during our Disneymoon. It looks like such a nice way to relax. Is there like, a list that shows the stops and the order that the boat goes? That was a poorly constructed sentence ... haha.

Happy Monday everyone! It's hard to believe but in just two weeks my sister will be checking in for the College Program! Now that I have my little trip in the works, I'm anxious to finish up this TR so I can (maybe) start a new PTR. I've been trying to keep quiet about it but thanks to facebook I think some of the secret is out. If you're not one of my DIS facebook friends, then you'll just have to wait and see what the plans are...right now, back to the TR!

Friday, April 1, 2011 cont'd (part 4)

From the Boardwalk, we walked over to Epcot. We arrived at the International Gateway, got our bags checked, and entered the park. Since we were already in World Showcase, the plan was to just stroll around and enjoy that part of the park since the inclement weather prevented us from getting past Future World on the other days! We started in Canada and made our way around World Showcase Lagoon.

I have this random flower picture but I'm guessing they were in that garden in Canada since it's with my other Canada picture!

Several years ago, my sisters and I decided to get a picture of us in each World Showcase pavilion. Claire and I wanted to do that again, so we each found a place for our picture and began our quest.

I sort of hate this picture because I look stiff as a board...that's why I like to do goofy poses every once in a while! Oh well.

Next up was the United Kingdom.

Claire wanted her picture by the red telephone booth. Apparently everyone else had the same idea so we had to wait a while. Eventually she got her photo.

We then went to look in some of the shops, which is where I got my picture taken. I found a Harry Potter book called The Tales of Beedle the Bard. If you're not familiar with HP, this isn't one of the actual HP books. It is actually a book of wizard fairy tales and such. There is a reference to it in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Hermione receives it as a gift from Dumbledore and it ultimately helps them discover what the Deathly Hallows actually are). Surprisingly, I have not read this book! Maybe I should do that.

There was also some other interesting merchandise in the shops. I'm going to pull a RachelNinja now and share some pictures I took (and no, we didn't buy anything)-if you haven't been following her TRs, she has LOTS of store pictures! :)

Pook-A-Looz. I think these stuffed animals are kind of cute but have resisted them so far.
251241_763371719994_20305212_38796157_7212692_n.jpg

I also spotted these mugs. Even the UK pavilion had Royal Wedding fever!
264608_763371829774_20305212_38796159_4546894_n.jpg

And some more mugs. I thought the flowery ones were really pretty.

Back outside we enjoyed some more of the Flower and Garden Festival.

Continuing on our way, we stopped to pick up a Kimmunicator for the KP mission at the International Gateway location. Our assignment was France, which was a little disappointing since we've already done that one, but what can you do?
206802_740963511224_20306951_38443617_6697683_n.jpg

I pretty much did most of the mission myself since Claire was busy taking pictures around the pavilion.

Here's her France picture of the around the world game. This is a bit of a hint as to one of the clues in the mission.
clairefrance.jpg

Normally, at the end of one of the KP missions it asks you if you want to do another one. However, this time it didn't, which was more proof that the park was much busier than yesterday. So we returned our Kimmunicator to the hidden dropbox (it's pretty neat how they incorporate the dropoff locations into the detailing/props so they don't stand out) and continued our tour of World Showcase. Notice I already failed at getting a picture of me in each pavilion...:rolleyes1

I love your boat pictures! I so want to take one during our Disneymoon. It looks like such a nice way to relax. Is there like, a list that shows the stops and the order that the boat goes? That was a poorly constructed sentence ... haha.

You should take the boat. There is plenty of nice scenery to take in and it is really relaxing. I'm sure there is a list somewhere that shows the order the boat goes. From DHS though, I'm pretty sure it's DHS, Swan and Dolphin, Boardwalk, YC/BC, then Epcot. I think if you're starting at Epcot it's just reverse.

Yay for the tour! The William and Kate mugs are new to me haha. I haven't been to Epcot since I moved back but I know I will be there plenty of times once Food and Wine starts!

Okay, I think this has been mentioned a few times but the building in the back of the Canada pavilion looks so much like Hogwarts castle. I mean, they do still have a better replica at WWOHP, of course, but I can still see that Hogwarts in it. :confused3

I've walked by those Red Phone Booths a few times in the UK Pavilion and there always is a line to get pictures in those, it's insane and you do know those phones actually can work, right? I find that extremely freaky because the story I heard about a phone call over them is just plain sketchy. Moving on... that's awesome you found Harry Potter stuff in the UK Pavilion! I'm sorta interested in reading Tales of Beedle the Bard, but I must read the series over again because one of the stories is mentioned in HP7 so no need for that book. (: And I'm surprised Universal hasn't made Disney take that merchandise away with WWOHP there. :/

I really got to try one of those Kim Possible Missions next time, knowing my friends. I love the pictures you took along the way especially the one of the Beauty & the Beast topiaries, those may possibly be my favorites from the F&G Festival. I also may have to save the KP Mission Hint picture for my next trip hehehehe And sorry you didn't fulfill your mission of getting a photo of yourself at each pavilion, always next trip :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Great update, love the pictures from around the world. :thumbsup2

That building is actually modeled after a hotel in Ottawa (our capital).

Phew. All caught up! I almost hate leaving the boards for a week because then I have so much to catch up on :rotfl: Great updates. I am SO glad the sun finally came out. WS was starting to look pretty crowded in that last pic. I'm very excited to hear details of your next trip.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and I have to admit I never read the tales of Beedle the Bard either. :rolleyes1

I love how everyone got so into the wedding of William and Kate. It even made its way to WDW.

Great pictures from WS! Love the idea to take a picture in each pavilion, might have to borrow that! :thumbsup2

Those Pook A Looz are so cute, I'm definitely getting a few on my next trip! And they have some really cute mugs in the UK shops!

Can't wait to try a KP mission! They sound like so much fun!

Again, such nice photos! I really enjoyed the World Showcase. Someday, I want to just spend the whole day touring it, with no interuptions ( that means NO kiddos who find it boring:laughing:)

I love all of the pictures you took around Canada! I've never explored that pavilion at all, it looks so pretty.
The Pook A Looz stuffed animals are so cute. I've managed to avoid them though too somehow because the last thing I need right now is more stuffed animals. I need to be getting rid of some instead, the ones I have right now already take over half of my bed:rotfl:

Its a quick read. You could probably do it in a night. It was ok.

Too bad you didn't get a photo at each pavilion, thats a good idea!

You took some great pictures on your boat ride to the Boardwalk! :thumbsup2

Taking a picture of yourself in every country is a great idea! I think I'll force the kids to do that next time!

Those William & Kate mugs are cute, but I wouldn't purchase one. I wonder if someone has sent one to them? :surfweb: I can just picture it in their Royal China Cabinet...right?
