Tuesday, March 29, 2011 cont'd (part 3)
Our next stop after the gorilla trail was Asia. We had to ride Expedition Everest again! We ended up doing single riders to cut our wait time. As usual we enjoyed the ride. I guess I didn't take any pictures. Oh well. Part of me feels like once you've taken a picture of something on a trip you don't need another one. LOL. But I did take a random picture of some of the scenery while watching the rafts go by on Kali River Rapids (no, we didn't ride!).
Since we were in Asia we took the time to explore another one of the trails: the Maharajah Jungle Trek, home of the tigers!
Some of the details in the forest:
The murals of the tigers are pretty cool too.
We did spot a tiger or two, but as usual they were just resting.
Does this trail make anyone else think of Kingdom Keepers? hehe
We also wanted to see Festival of the Lion King so we headed over to Camp Minnie Mickey. We had plenty of time to kill before the show started so we stopped to say hello to Brer Rabbit. Or should I say the Easter bunny? As we were walking over to him (there was nobody in line for him) I heard some dude say, "Who is that, the Easter bunny?"
After our pictures we went to get in line for the show. We had to wait 15-20 minutes before they let us into the theater. Once we got in, we were seated in the lion section-woo hoo! This show really is great and the more I see it, the more I appreciate it. One thing that I love about it is that the performers seem to be having so much fun and you can tell by their energy. Oh yeah, and I love the music too.
Here's a short video of one of my favorite parts-the celebration finale. See what I mean about their energy?
You can't help but clap along or tap your toes.

When the show was over, we decided to head out. But because the weather was still cooperating, we didn't want to go back to the resort. So where did we head next? Stay tuned...
